I have an Iphone 4s and i can not call or text some of my contacts. When i try to calll i get told "The number dialed is incorrect" yet i can recieve a call from this person but can not return the call and texts fail. I think it may be connected with contacts where I have several numbers under one contact but its not all of them that fail.

I have only had my iPhone 4S since march, so only just over 3 months, and i have problems with it now. I can't call anyone or recieve a call from anyone, and i can't send or recieve texts. I have tried the sim in another phone and it works, and i have tried restoring my phone to factory settings and i still have the same problems. This is not what i expect from a £500 phone. I imagine another top of the range phone like the Samsung Galaxy S 3 wont get these problems after only a few months of light usage.

I have an iPhone 4s and lately it does not always ring for calls or texts. The ringer switch is turned on and volume is up. When I test it from my house phone it always works! It does received the calls and texts and records messages, but it doesn't alert me to them coming in. I am missing a lot of calls! What causes it - happens in the house and in the car - but not all the time.

Just yesterday my Iphone started deleting my contact information once I call or text someone. The number stays on the phone but all of the other information saved with the contact (including their name) disappears. Im using a 4S latest IOS. I have unfortunately not got a backup (this isn't my phone its for a friend) and so I have no backup of my contacts. I have a Sony Xperia Z3 on the T-Mobile network and as of two months ago now, I have been unable to call or text my girlfriend. She has an iPhone 5 also on the T-Mobile network.
When the problem began, we had been texting for half of the day and she suddenly stopped receiving my texts.
Now the texts show as delivered on my end, but she never gets them and when I try calling it goes straight to voice-mail. She can receive texts and calls from everyone else, while I can also text and call anyone besides her.
We went through both our phones and I'm most definitely not on her blocked list. Tried restarting and re-adding each others numbers but nothing happens.
My iPhone freezes randomly every few minutes, especially when I try to do something, sometimes by itself as well, don't know why, it's been like that since last night, I never dropped it or anything of the sort so it really can't be a consequence of anything I did to it... How can I stop it? Should I reset it or something?

Is there a way to stop email and text notifications when I am on a phone call? I have a long email alert and message tone, and when I'm on a call and they go off, it's so loud and long I can't hear who I'm talking to. They can't hear the alert but it goes on for so long they waffle on and I miss a lot of conversation. Why is this not automatically disabled or set to silent when taking a call?

View 5 Replies View RelatedA friend showed me that while a text message window is open, I can tap the screen near the time, and an option will come up which allows me to call that contact. My daughter and I both have iPhone 4s's, but for some reason, when I tap the screen near the time while texting her, the option to call her does NOT appear. The only choices are "Email, Contact Info and Load Earlier Messages". I have deleted her contact info and recreated it, and it still is the same.

I've added my Exchange account to my iPhone 4, latest iOS as of 2/5/2012. Everything is working fine, my contacts included except one thing:
In my company's Active Directory, we specify our phone numbers with international dialing codes. So all of my team members in the UK's numbers are showing up as 44 xxxx etc. On other phones, namely an HTC Windows phone, there's a feature that still allows you to make calls to numbers with the international dialing codes.
Basically I'm looking for the feature that auto calls numbers that have 44 in front of them, otherwise I am going to have to manually edit every phone number in my contact list (well over 300).
