I have only had my iPhone 4S since march, so only just over 3 months, and i have problems with it now. I can't call anyone or recieve a call from anyone, and i can't send or recieve texts. I have tried the sim in another phone and it works, and i have tried restoring my phone to factory settings and i still have the same problems. This is not what i expect from a £500 phone. I imagine another top of the range phone like the Samsung Galaxy S 3 wont get these problems after only a few months of light usage.
I have an iPhone 4S that was working fine until today, I can call, but person i'm calling can't hear me nor can i hear them, can't even hear if the call is ringing or not, nor can i receive calls, nor can i make or receive text messages.
I have an Iphone 4s and i can not call or text some of my contacts. When i try to calll i get told "The number dialed is incorrect" yet i can recieve a call from this person but can not return the call and texts fail. I think it may be connected with contacts where I have several numbers under one contact but its not all of them that fail.
I have an iPhone 4s and lately it does not always ring for calls or texts. The ringer switch is turned on and volume is up. When I test it from my house phone it always works! It does received the calls and texts and records messages, but it doesn't alert me to them coming in. I am missing a lot of calls! What causes it - happens in the house and in the car - but not all the time.
i have a problem with my iphone. it happened for the second time. i cant make any calls and received any calls. when i make a phone call, it didn't beep at all, and when i press cancel button. nothing happen.
Then, i tried to press lock button and unlock it again. But, when i unlock it again, it appears the calling screen again. i already tried to off my iphone . nothing happen. i also already sync with computer and restore. but, still, i cant make/received any calls and sms.
My phone will vibrate but thats all. The buttons of the side won't work. When I click on ringtones they will play and songs will play out of my phone, but my phone won't ring when I get a call or text.
My iPhone 4 does not ring when I get an incoming call or text MSG. The in app sounds also do not work. They work only with the headset. Music plays and everything else is working fine. Tried restoring, blowing into the jock, pressing near the home button.
I don't have to unlock my phone to answer calls or texts. I would really like to have to do that, someone answered my phone the other day, I was not happy, no harm was done but I'd like to prevent it in the future. How can this be done?
Just yesterday my Iphone started deleting my contact information once I call or text someone. The number stays on the phone but all of the other information saved with the contact (including their name) disappears. Im using a 4S latest IOS. Ive done several complete restores to attempt to solve the issue with no luck.Â
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 on the T-Mobile network and as of two months ago now, I have been unable to call or text my girlfriend. She has an iPhone 5 also on the T-Mobile network.
When the problem began, we had been texting for half of the day and she suddenly stopped receiving my texts.
Now the texts show as delivered on my end, but she never gets them and when I try calling it goes straight to voice-mail. She can receive texts and calls from everyone else, while I can also text and call anyone besides her.
We went through both our phones and I'm most definitely not on her blocked list. Tried restarting and re-adding each others numbers but nothing happens.
My iPhone freezes randomly every few minutes, especially when I try to do something, sometimes by itself as well, don't know why, it's been like that since last night, I never dropped it or anything of the sort so it really can't be a consequence of anything I did to it... How can I stop it? Should I reset it or something?
how to make this stop? Ive looked everywhere in settings ive reset my phone at least 5 times ive turned my phone off and back on and it still wont stop. Its driving me nuts i dont want my flash to go insane everytime i receieve something.
Is there a way to stop email and text notifications when I am on a phone call? I have a long email alert and message tone, and when I'm on a call and they go off, it's so loud and long I can't hear who I'm talking to. They can't hear the alert but it goes on for so long they waffle on and I miss a lot of conversation. Why is this not automatically disabled or set to silent when taking a call?
A friend showed me that while a text message window is open, I can tap the screen near the time, and an option will come up which allows me to call that contact. My daughter and I both have iPhone 4s's, but for some reason, when I tap the screen near the time while texting her, the option to call her does NOT appear. The only choices are "Email, Contact Info and Load Earlier Messages". I have deleted her contact info and recreated it, and it still is the same.
My iphone 4 suddenly died last night even though it said it had about 40% power. When I plug it in, it turns back on but will not connect to anything (no internet, and I can't call or text). As soon as I unlpug it, it turns off, and sometimes when it is plugged in it either says it has 0% or 100% charge. After about 60 seconds of being plugged in it turns off and restarts. It won't start up fully when I plug it into my computer, it just shows the Apple symbol before shutting off again. I am thinking this is a hardware issue. Is it possible that the battery is so drained (since it won't hold charge), even when it is plugged in, that it doesn't even have the power to connect to the internet or call or anything? I have had this phone for about 1.5 years.Â
Important note: I had it fixed about 2-3 weeks ago when the whole front piece of the phone was shattered when it was run over by a car, lol. Even in that state, the phone continued to vibrate when recieving calls, and when the front piece and home button were replaced everything was working except for the camera. Maybe some internal damage is just now catching up to the phone?
I've just purchased an xperia x10 second hand,it was on o2 and worked ok until i put my o2 sim card in,it wont let me text or make calls but the internet works fine,i spoke to o2 and they advised me too update the software in it too 2.1,I have also checked the settings with o2 and sony ericsson,but still no joy.
Sometimes I have service and it works fine, but most of the times, either it shows that there is signal but it doesn't call or text(calls don't go through, text can't be sent) or there is no signal whatsoever. Suddenly started this a couple of days ago. Tried, reboot, factory reset, complete wipe with CM12.1 flash instead of stock. No change whatsoever.
New 5230 on vodafone contract (upgrade). All the contacts names and phone numbers are accurately displayed when viewing, but only the numbers appear when a text or call comes in. How do i get the contact's name to appear as before? There are no duplicates or international pre-fixes to confuse things for the phone, and everything was fine on the old phone.
Is anyone able to get an audible alert that you have received a text message while in a call? I have set the settings in the options (Ring Tones/Alerts), but it does not beep while in a call. I have also noticed that there is a setting for each contact to alert in a call (default set to no). However, shouldn't the setting in the options menu menu override that if it is set to notify in call?
