My phone will vibrate but thats all. The buttons of the side won't work. When I click on ringtones they will play and songs will play out of my phone, but my phone won't ring when I get a call or text.

I can't seem to make my phone ring more than once when receiving a call. Is that normal or is there a way to make it ring more than just once? I can't find anything in the setting to lengthen the amount of rings.

When I test it from my house phone it always works! It does received the calls and texts and records messages, but it doesn't alert me to them coming in. I am missing a lot of calls! What causes it - happens in the house and in the car - but not all the time.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post to this forum and i am really hoping for some help. I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Phone. It is about 7 months old and has developed a really annoying and frustrating fault over the past few days - progressively no getting worse by the hour it would seem. The phone freezes after receiving a text, phone call, internet usage or just generally pressing one of the function buttons. Some times if you wait long enough it does free itself but more often than not it will end up me removing the battery to reset the handset. Nothing appears to work properly on it anymore - the battery appears to drain within hours of charge. Really fed up with it now. Carphone Warehouse and Orange are blamming each other ( no change there). Yes i can take it to a repair centre who will either do it on site ro send away. I have completed a soft reset but has made no difference. I am now tempted to do a complete hard reset once backing up my contents etc

My phone worked the other day but the same day not long after it was working it stopped telling me when certain people thexted or called me and I don't know how to fix it. I've tried turning it off and on but that doesn't work I've tried fixing the settings I flipped the side switch on and off. Nothing worked and I don't know what else to do.

it doesn't always ring when I get a call. Yes, Airplane mode is off, the ringer is on. Take yesterday for instance, over a period of 5 hours, four calls didn't ring, 3 went to VoiceMail, one showed as a missed call, three other calls came through normally. During this entire time the phone was sitting on my desk, fully charged.

I know that I can set up call forwarding bit can I set up symultanous ringing and forwarding. Failing that can I geo fence the call forwarding when I'm home but disable it as I go out. This would be a simple way to make up for bad indoor reception. I think it might be a cool feauture Apple.

My wife and I both have iPhone 6's. Her is on Verizon, mine is on AT&T. When connected to the same Wi-Fi, call either phone and both will ring. Our college aged children both have neither of those ring. All 4 of us use the same iTunes account. No call forwarding on any of the phones. Disconnect from Wi-Fi phones work as expected.how to stayed connected to Wi-Fi and not have both phones ring.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9900 is only a week old but has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it would stop ringing when a call comes but would show the name of the caller on the screeen. Picking up the call would result in the caller not hearing my voice. Once this happens , it would remain this way till I pull out the battery and restart it again. When in this situation , any outgoing call would also not work.

When I am in a call, and someone else calls me, it beeps, and the person that is calling me pops up on the with the options to ignore that incoming call, and to end the current call and talk to that person phoning. But some people who phone me think that i'm ignoring them. usually if you are on a phone, it goes to voicemail, if someone else is calling you. this only happens if my sim card is in my iPhone - not in any other phone.

I am using an iPhone 6 Plus (magnificent device) and a Sony MDR-10RBT headset (another killer). But when an incoming call comes, why does not the phone ring? i can hear only from the bluetooth headset speaker. I have an iPhone 5s with OS version 7.1.2 (11D257). Recently I noticed that I was missing calls and text messages because the phone didn't ring or give the text alert. There is no vibration either. The phone is not in "do not disturb" mode and the manual sound switch on the side of the phone is turned on. It doesn't happen on every call or text, but the past few days it is more than 75% of them. I find myself checking the phone more often now that I'm aware of the problem. That was prompted by the fact that it has already caused a few problems with customers and employees who have returned my call to them within seconds only to have my phone go to voicemail and me not see their message for up to a half hour or so. I'm going to do an update right now just to be sure that I have the latest and greatest Apple patches.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy IPhone 5c stopped alerting me to text messages. I have gone into settings, went to sounds, scrolled down to messages & selected an alert tone. IPhone will only vibrate on texts, volume is turned up. It stopped ringing for phone calls too and will only vibrate.  It is super armored with an Otterbox and has not been dropped or broken.Â
I turned off vibrate. I have even went to Settings General and Reset the Phone totally.Â
Volume is turned up. Text and Ringtone for Calls was set in settings. It plays them fine when I choose them.Â
I have no more updates available for the phone   Update is current OS 7.1.2
