IPhone :: Losing Internet Connection When Trying To Download Any File?
Mar 31, 2012My partner recently accidentally tried to update to ios 5.1 out of wifi and it has crashed her phone (stuck on apple logo). We have been trying for 3 days to restore her iphone 4S through itunes 10.6 (Windows). However, the download always times out and we lose DSL connection for a minute or so. I have also tried to d/l 5.0.1 and 5.0 from websites offering direct links to appldnld.apple.com and the same thing happens everytime. Usually at about 9%. I lose internet my ADLS2+ connection every single time I try to download any apple software through itunes or via direct links through multiple browsers.

Feb 23, 2010I am a Brit based in Germany, and I would like to listen to Radio 5, Talksport, etc, on my 2730 whilst at work. Doing so on my work PC is not allowed.
Although I can access the radio station websites, I obviously now need to load some sort of basic windows media player to get streaming and sound. I tried loading Windows Media 9, for example, but get a "file format" not supported/not recognised.
So, please may I ask, how do I play Radio 5, Talksport, etc?

Oct 31, 2011I just came back from a week in Spain and found a very expensive mobile phone bill. My Blackberry Bold had been automatically connecting to internet and downloading my email by phone in roaming mode. I had expected email was only active in a free wireless area but it seems this was not true, it also used phone calls to download mail.
How can I block that without doing something as brutal as removing the SIM card? Other kinds of phones have settings to do that but I haven't found these settings in Blackberry Bold.

Nov 18, 2011I just got a Xperia Ray ST18a. During the setup wizard I was able to connect to my home wifi but when it tried to download the carrier internet settings (AT&T) it would return an error dialog "Could not download settings. Retry?"
I then had the phone check for updates via wifi and it found Gingerbread 2.3.4. I installed that. I still cannot get the carrier settings. I'm trying to do this now by Settings, Sony Ericsson, Internet Settings. Same error message.
My wife has an Xperia Neo ST15a. It was setup a month ago in the same location also with AT&T. Her phone had no problem getting the settings.
Yes Data service is 'ticked' and please don't say 'Call your carrier'. I prefer that AT&T not know what type phone I am using. And YES I do realize I could go on my wife's phone for the settings, but I feel the automated method should work.
