IPhone :: Will Apple Ever Release Device For Sprint?
Mar 19, 2010It's sure that you can't jailbreak an IPhone to work on Sprint or Verizon. I do have an IPod touch and the Samsung Instinct for sprint, but it would be really nice if I could just have them all in one.

Jun 26, 2010I definitely have issues with the reception when I touch the phone, but seems some people are ok. As we are all running the same software I think there is a production problem on some phones. How about Apple release an app you download if you think you have a problem. The app checks the reception when you are touching and not touching it, and if it determines there is a problem with your phone it automatically orders you a replacement. It could also check your GPS and immediately send an Apple courier to your location but that is maybe going to far.

Jul 16, 2010I've been around since the first IPhone release and apple has never announced a specific case for the 2G, 3G or 3GS. But now with the new IPhone 4 they release a bumper, not really a case. And notice the bumper only surrounds the metal band and thats about the only protection you get? They probably knew about the signal loss during late stages of mass production I'm guessing. This is just interesting to me and speculation.

Jun 22, 2010Anyone else a bit annoyed that if you made a reservation to get the IPhone 4 on opening day, partly so you could be the first anywhere to get it, you are now getting it 1 day later than others who aren't anywhere near an Apple store and/or chose mail order? Kind of takes a bit of the excitement away from the hassle of rushing to an Apple store on release day and waiting in the reservation line.

May 13, 2012One of the three Apple USB cables I have has this feature and I prefer it, it is a little bigger on the iPhone'd end and has bottons on the side to release and be able to disconnect. Jan 6, 2010So I just got my first BlackBerry, the Tour 9630 a few days ago. I used my full upgrade with Sprint, plus the mail in rebate. Now I am really, really starting to worry because it seems that in the next few months the TOUR 2 could be released. I am wondering if I will be able to return my Tour and get my money back, and my full upgrade and just wait for the Tour 2 to be released. If I have only had the phone for a few days, you think I will be able to switch to the Tour 2 no problem? I have sprint.

Feb 14, 2010I'm waiting for the Tour 2 to be released, but no one really seems to know when it's coming. Apparently it was supposed to be Feb 3, but was delayed. So then we were hearing it could be as late as April or May. I knew I couldn't wait that long so I bought a Tour on ebay last week. Now, just as I figured would happen, we're hearing it could be as early as within this week and if not, pretty much for sure within the next 30 days.
So I'm just wondering if you all think the price value of Tours on ebay will drop once the Tour 2 is released? I'm contemplating just turning around and selling mine now so I can be sure to get what I paid for it. But if the selling price will most likely stay the same even after the Essex is out, I'll probably just wait it out. I just don't want to lose a lot of money on the deal when I might only be using the phone for just a couple weeks!

Jun 22, 2010I have missed the 24th preorder date and I was wondering if by any chance even 1 in million manage to get on hold of a payg iphone 4 (uk) from a carrier like orange, 3 etc. Is there a difference having an officially unlocked iphone from apple vs an ultrasn0w etc. unlock device?? (other than any ethical/moral issues ). Any specific stuff that I will not be able to perform with such an unlock?, any downsides like slowdowns (if it’s a 24/7 background running service etc) ?
I know that O2 official unlock iphones for $15, but I haven’t found any certain info on the other carriers. (note: the phone will not be used to UK at all, so some proposed actions from carriers like: “use the phone for 3 months with the carrier and then ask for an unlock” will not work in my case.)

IPhone 5c :: Applying Backup Of One Device To A Different Device?
Jun 25, 2014This past week, my phone "fell" and the screen broke beyond all repair. And I'm not talking about a crack...I'm talking about a huge crack as well blue lines being displayed whenever I hit the home button. Other than that, the phone still works. It charges, it syncs, it vibrates when I get calls or messages but I can't see anything on the screen. I know that I can still unlock though. I managed to backup my pictures directly onto my Mac using iPhoto. Besides my pictures and Calendar dates, there wasn't much that I cared for within the actual phone.Â
I went to my local phone service provider place and they told me that since my phone was a 4S and was covered for damage, I could send it to Apple in exchange for a new phone. I already contacted them and received my new 5C. Now, I'm not really worried about the pictures because they're already in my computer; I'm worried about all the Calendar dates that are in my broken 4S. Yes, I did do a backup AFTER it fell so I have a backup ready. But the thing is that I do not wish to sync this onto my new 5C just for the calendar dates. Â
I have an old iPod 4th Generation that I'm willing to use to restore with the backup of my 4S but I don't know how to do that. I was hoping that I could apply the backup of my 4S onto my iPod and then manually enter all the dates that I needed onto my 5C.

Mar 27, 2012I switched phones a while ago and updated to iOS 5. When I got my new phone, iTunes correctly treated it like a new device. I have lots of pictures in a device backup file in iTunes (or do I?). (Location of device backups: Preferences > Devices) I can see the old device backups I did before updating to iOS 5 last October. Is there a way, without "wacking" my iPhone and restoring it to an older version, to get the pictures out of those device backups?

However when I tried to restore a recent backup I made to the cloud it said that I could not do it because the old backup was on an older ios and the new phone was on a new ios. May 16, 2012I have an iPhone that has already been synced with an HP laptop. This PC is now in need of repair but the price of repair was too costly so I bought a MacBook Pro to replace it.I would like to now sync my iPhone with my new MacBook using iTunes but when I attempt this I get a message stating that all the information in my iPhone will be replaced by all the information in iTunes (which is nothing). I cannot afford to lose all the information in my iPhone but also I cannot update my iPhone using iTunes because it has not been paired with my new MacBook and I am told that it can only be paired with one computer at a time. I cannot unpair it with my old PC because my old PC doesn't even boot up anymore.I was told that I could Backup the information in my iPhone by control clicking on the icon in the toolbar to the left of the iTunes screen which would then let me sync safely. I have now done this but I still have nothing to show for this in the iTunes library (no music, photos, notes, contacts etc.) and I have no idea where this backup has been stored. Also in the help menu in iTunes it says that media files such as songs, videos and some photos AREN'T backed up but can be restored by syncing with iTunes (how is this possible to restore something that hasn't been backed up in the first place?).

You could turn it on from your computer, or if you have a iPod turn your phone, laptop and desktop on with it. Or what if you lost it, and someone picks it up and turns it off (iPod or iPhone) and the only way iCloud could find it is if its connected to the internet but it's not on.Maybe i have a bad idea, but i thought about it after losing my iPhone but not my iPod. i Would rather lose an iPod
