I am getting ready to upgrade to an iPhone 4. Someone had told me that after I take my SIM card out of my 3GS that my kids could still play the games we have installed on it. That it would continue to operate like an iPod Touch.
My son is visiting Las Vegas this month and was thinking of buying an unlocked 3GS i phone. Will it work in the UK. I know the charger adaptor will be different but as we have an i pad the charger for that will work so thats not a problem. Just wondered if there were any other issues which we should consider.
I recently got the LG CU500 smartphone, which I love (great sound clarity), but no matter what I have tried, I cannot get the SD memory card to work in it. It keeps saying CARD NOT READY and when I connect the phone to my computer, the phone does not show up in MY COMPUTER as an extra drive the way it should so I can move music files into it.I wrote to LG about it and their return mesasage treated me like an idiot told me to turn the phone off and back on again! I have only done that a few dozen times already as I swapped out memory cards, formatted them on my computer and even used a different brand. From what I am reading at different places on the Net.I am not the only one with this problem, there are many others.
Have just bought a 16G sd card for my E52. I have read somewhere the card wont work unless its formatted by the phone, as it is not being recognized at the moment. I can't find instructions anywhere on how to format the card.Anyone?
So I have bought E72-1 (RM-530) and it works fine with my GSM card but it does not work with WCDMA card (no login to network). I am surprised because I was reading specs at the Nokia website and it does state that it works with all WCDMA bands.
Couldn't get my n900 to work on WLAN, with SIM or without SIM card.apparently everything works fine, except the device keep saying that couldn't find the IP address.
It wants me to format n I refuse too I have lots of photos on there. I do not use a PC, I tried to repair it goes forever usually freezes n when I do that I have to turn off and won't turn on I have to do batt pull, or it fails, I'm not sure what to do to get it to work again, it is the one I got with this torch 9800, and never had a problem, now it won't work,
I was thinking if it possible to make 2 sim card work on the k850? I remember in the past there was a small connection cable between the 2 sim card or something like that on nokia phones.can it be on k850? And if yes.dos it need a application or spicale softwear for that?
Ok i bought my blackberry the other week and i was temporarily using a pay as you go sim card until my contract simcard came through they are both O2 but when i changed the sim cards over onto my contract bbm has stopped working i can view my contacts but no messages go through or anything
I got my X10 Mini Pro ( 1.6 Android, Model U20a, Kernel 2.6.29 / Build 1.2.A.1.174 ) right out of the box today with a Class 2 4Gb card. Problem is, it recognizes the card is in, but can't read it. Right from the start, it smacks me with a SDHC card shaped error, and I get an error message saying the card is blank or in a format that is not recognizable by the device. I got a new card, Sandisk, also 4Gb and Class 4, and it also does not recognize the other card.Reading the card with a card reader, all data is perfectly preserved, and the new card, I formatted it, repartitioned, nothing works.Android asks to format the card, which I allowed on both cards. Nothing happens. I get the warning that it will delete all data, and acknowledge that, but the format seems to take absolutely no time. It just jumps from one screen to the next without aparently doing any work at all, or take any processing time, or any progress bar, which I would have expected.I tried updating the software to no avail. It won't connect to the PC unless the SDHC card is inserted and recognized. Nor it will allow me to download any update without a properly connected SDHC card. So, I'm stuck. When a card is removed or inserted, the phone acknowledges that the card was removed or inserted. Mount/Unmount is not available.
I can't get the WLAN to work without a SIM-card in the phone. I have the same problem if there is a SIM in the phone but I choose not to enter then pin when starting the phone. I have set up a WLAN that works fine with the SIM enabled so it seems as the settings are fine. Is there something special I have to do to enable the WLAN when there is no SIM in the phone?

The button to move app is not greyed out. I can click them and they change from "move to SD" to "move to phone". In fact, the screen shows me that only 20mb is left on the device and 2GB are on the SD card for the app. But when I go to my SD card the folder where the OB files are supposed to be is empty, and my available internal storage did not change. Samething happened to all the apps I tried to move. The phone tells me the apps have been moved but they did not.
It sometimes mounts but then it crashes.but it hasn't mounted for a few days now .Ive tried reseting , turning the phone off and going on the computer to see if the computer recognises the sd card but nothing works .what happened and how can i fix it?
I got the 3.2 upgrade for my 3G Xoom a week or so ago; I understood that when the upgrade came, it would work with SD cards just like the WiFI-only Xoom upgrade. Today I stuck a SanDisk micro SD into the slot, and I got an option in "Settings" to mount the SD, but it won't mount. Neither will computer (Vista OS) recognize an SD, nor will it create a Xoom Media section in computer file explorer when Xoom is connected by USB as the Motorola help site describes; all I get is the original Xoom folder that I had pre-3.2.
I just recently bought a 16gb Micro SD memory card online, but it doesn't work. I put it into my phone and it says to format and I format and everything. After formatting is complete, I connect my phone to my computer so I can sync it with my itunes. The problem occurs as soon as it gets done syncing. After it's done syncing and I disconnect my from computer, the "format memory card" message comes up again. If I say no, none of the music comes to my phone. Then I go to option > memory and then it says memory card is not readable. It has to be formatted because it might be corrupted. If I select yes to format it, all the data that I just synced erases and I'm back to the beginning. This happens every single time I do it.
However, one thing I notice was when I stop the syncing halfway through, the memory card works. But if I let it sync all 600 songs (which is about 5-6 gb out of 16), the memory card fails.can anyone help me? Maybe someone had a problem like this and found a solution. Appreciate all the help I receive. BTW, I'm using the Bold 9700 for tmobile.
I have a 9530 that is unlocked, that I am trying to use in Colombia, South America. It shows I have a signal, but there is that red triangle at the top of the screen, showing that I have no service. I know it is unlocked because everything says security disabled... I also changed the phone number to the SIM phone number, but still am getting nothing...
