I have my iphone 4s plugged in my charger. I attempted to charge it using different wires and to no avail. My battery continues to drain. What should I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow would i determine what is causing battery power loss. The phone is 3 months old and within the last 2 days only has battery power for 6 hours. Is there an easy way to determine what applications are running without having to check each one. I have tried resetting the factory settings, but it indicates that there is an application or call that needs to be closed. There is definitely no call running so it has to be an application.

I have not gone onto the internet either. Any help would be gratefully received.Htc told me to run the battery down completely then charge it for 8 hours, which I have done twice but to no avail.
View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently just bought the XPRT and I love it! Fast phone with a sweet keyboard. I am using the phone in Australia so I am using the GMS/UMTS network mode.
I like to turn my phone off at night to conserve battery power as I often forget to recharge my phone. However, when I turn my phone back on it restores the Sprint network mode and turns on all the network guards and turns data connections off. So having to change all this again each time is slightly annoying so I have just been leaving my phone on at night.
Is there a way to save these settings so I can turn my phone off at night? Or do I have to leave my phone on?
I finally broke down and installed the Atrix HD update yesterday. What a mistake. Prior to installing the update, I could drive from home to work and have the battery drop from 100% to 95% in about 20 minutes or so (which, is terrible as well). Today after installing the update my battery went from 100% to 87% in the same 20 minutes. I can't believe that an update that was presented good for battery life actually makes it worse! I can say however, that the performance of the phone is better (touch responses, less laggy, etc, but I am sure that is at the cost of battery life). Other than a hard reset is there anyway to get this update off of the the phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe 2 main issues I have are:
I'm running stock, straight of the box, no root. And yesterday for example I went from 100% to15% in 7 hours....and this is at work with my phone sat on my desk not being used.Settings is saying that Google services is killing the battery, that and Android OS.Google services has a 'Stay awake' of over 3hrs and 'Mobile radio active' of over 2hrs All other apps also have a high 'Mobile radio active'Is this a bug in 5.1.1?
Second issue: How hot does this phone get!?Any usage of more than a couple of minutes with the screen on and its warm, getting towards hot.Use the camera for example and it gets hot...borderline too hot to touchFor me the main issue is the crappy battery life.
I heard some people lost apps/phone list by doing it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince going to the APPLE store and being told yesterday that the 50.1 update was the best update ever and trusting an APPLE employee.I've had nothing but problems, my iPhone's battery drains faster. Turning brightness low, turning everything off. The battery still drained.I came into the store today; low and behold I got my phone restored, didn't help. Do you think there's ANY possible way I can replace my phone to one that doesn't have the newest update?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a jailbroken iPhone 3GS. Is it safe to upgrade to the newest iTunes that's just been released? I tried searching but didn't find anything relevant.
View 24 Replies View RelatedIf you get it an apple store, I know they activate it for you there. Assuming all the models have 4.0 or 4.01 on it, do they update it to the newest firmware for you there? I only ask because my upgrade availability finally got taken care of, and i wanna pick up another ip4 (which of course I don't want them to so I can jb). My last IP4, I had delivered at home, so I could do what I want. I just don't know what the in store process was.

I had never checked the option to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 Kbps on my old 3GS. Therefore my music was taking up over 14 gb out of the mere 32 on my phone. Well, while adjusting what I would sync onto the new iP4, I decided to try this setting. My music now only consumes 6.7 GB. that's a big space savings. I wanted to add a couple of HD movies to see what they looked like on the retnia display, so this has really helped.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI would like to restore my jailbroken phone to normal, then re-jailbreak to get rid of a bunch of crap on it. When I click on restore from itunes, it says it will update my software to the newest version, 3.1.3 which I do not want. I want to stay on 3.1.2 so my phone is still able to be unlocked.Anyone know how to get around that, as in restore to factory without having itunes download and install 3.1.3?

I bought this iphone a month ago and the battery was fine for the first few weeks. Now it seems to be draining faster. I've turned off all the settings that save battery life, i've restored and set up as new, i've reset all settings, i've tried calibrating the battery i've tried EVERYTHING!

My iPhone 3gs is stuck in that mode where I can't get pass the white Apple logo even after several hard reboots (holding down the power and bottom center button. After a reboot the white apple logo appears and then it just goes away.I figured out how to get the phone to into recovery mode so that iTunes can do a restore, but I am getting the message that says "Are you sure you want to restore the iPhone to its factory settings" All of your media and other data will be erased and the newest version of the iPhone software will be installed.
Is there any way to do a restore without allowing my iPhone's software to be upgraded to the newest version of iPhone software? I have 3.0 and want to keep it because I use my phone to tether. During the restore phase is there a way to cancel the portion of it that attempts to upgrade my software to the latest software?
Got my 32 GB iPhone 4 yesterday and set up as a new device using the same playlist of music that I used on my 32 3gs. I check marked the box to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC just like I had in the past with the 3gs. With the 3gs it brought a playlist consisting of 4625 songs at 26.70 GB down to 17 GB. With the iPhone 4 synced it does the same in the drop down menu under devices then iPhone in Music then at the bottom it lists the playlist that I use, both read 4625 songs at 17 GB. At the summary page with the bar at the bottom it reads I have 23.29 GB of audio on the iPhone and unplugging going to settings then about it reads 4625 songs at 23.29 GB. So I only have 4.48 GB free when I should have around 9 or 10. I resynced twice to see if it would change with the same outcome, restored the device and called apple care with no answer on why it reads different.Going to the Apple Store tomorrow unless one of you has a solution to this.

If I use the option to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 AAC for my iPhone, I can no longer see my ringtones that I've synced on the iPhone itself. When I plug the iPhone in, iTunes shows that they are on my phone but when selecting ringtones for contacts, they are not visible. When I uncheck the option and resync, the ringtones are now there. I've tried changing the name of the tones but no luck. Anyone else have this issue or a solution?
