LG G4 :: Phone Overheat Only When WiFi Is On
Dec 19, 2015I bought LG G4 with my previous carrier T-Mobile. I never had an issue. I love the phone; however, recently I change carrier to AT&T and the overheat issues and battery drained with my wifi started. T-Mobile doesn't want to deal with my phone. AT&T is "no comprendo" or basically this phone is not ours. I contacted LG and after several tries and procedures testing they asked my to reset to factory default which I did. Now my LG G4 still overheating when I use wifi and the battery drained.

Bt a few days ago my phone was like overheating even whn Im nt using Gps, internet, and I din even talk on the phone..I was jz texting and taking some pics with the camera n it went from warm to very hot.This is the 1st time Im using a touchscreen phone so is it normal? If I were to change a new battery will it solve my problem? N whr can I get a genuine Nokia battery for my 5230? N yea I seldom run any application on my phone. Normally I jz used it 4 sms ing and listening to musics.

May 28, 2015I'm seriously contemplating upgrading my LG G3 to an iPhone 5S. The reason is, I use my phone a lot for navigation, and unfortunately it seems that Androids just aren't up to the task, although, it could just be this particular model. Ironically, my old iPhone 4 would never overheat, even when I used Google Maps for several hours. However, every time I use Google Maps for just a couple of minutes on the LG G3, my phone overheats and then shuts down. I took it to the Verizon Store, where they told me it was a software issue, and they told me that they fixed the problem, but right afterward, I tried using it to navigate again, and it still continued to overheat. What should I do?

but sometime its just warm.also when using constant internet connection for my IMAP email, the battery also got hot. not that burning hot but it is a lot hotter than my previous phone ( Symbian 9 UIQ3, SonyEricsson M600i)also if i use 3G/3,5G instead of the normal GSM/EDGE, the phone become very hot if used for call. or for internet.
is this normal for nokia phones? i really dont want to leave my phone to nokia customer care. it will be took very long time and i need my phone with me everyday. and my old SonyEricsson M600i also already broken.

Sep 11, 2012Okay, let me start by saying that I truely love this phone, except for one thing. My phone will consistently overheat to 100+ degrees. Also, along with this, about every 24 hours or so I will have to turn my phone off and on again because it becomes extremely laggy. I have never had to do this with any other smartphone that I have had.
Also, I did do the "cache clearing" that wasn't incorporated into the ICS update. Also, I have my phone limited to 4 background processes and I have the "don't keep activites" box checked under developer options.

Jul 13, 2012So I use the Vehicle Nav Dock a lot. I live in NC, where we've had record heat (6 days straight of 103+ temps) and I leave my dock suction cupped to my windshield. Probably not the smartest idea as now the dock itself is warped and I have to give it a little bit of elbow grease to get it to lock in and connect.It hasn't lost any functionality and I love the new look of the dock and the ability to access any of your apps from the nav screen with the ICS update.

Mar 14, 2010My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.

Jun 29, 2014I receive messages from people hours after they tell me they sent them but when I receive them it has the current time listed, as if it was just sent. It would be fantastic to know the msg was sent at 10am and now being 2:30pm, I can have a better reply. It's definitely with the phone, because I know a few of the people have the same service provider but different phones. When messages are received on my wifes phone, it shows when they were sent, not the current time. I've looked at my settings but do not see a way to change this, is there a way?

Aug 12, 2010I am using BB 8520 Curve with the default external memory (2 Gb). I have music files (*.mp3, *.wma) as well as picture files (captured through the device itself).What happens is, from time to time I am unable to access the media card content. If I go to music, I can see the entries if I go to any of the menu filters, All Songs/Artists/Albums/Genres .. etc. But when I click on the song itself, the music player opens with a message "This playlist contains no valid songs". Also, during this time, my device rings with the default tunes on a call, even if I have set custom profile ring tones.Similarly, if I go to Media->Pictures, I can see a thumbnail preview of the photos, however on trying to open a file it just presents me with a black screen. The contact picture or the desktop custom wallpaper, however is rendered as expected.If I reboot my device by taking off the battery, things get working again.I am experiencing this issue quite frequently, almost every day. I tried to find out a trend for the behaviour, however could not make any such consistent observations.Does anyone in the forum has faced similar issue? Any inputs would be highly appreciated. This is really being a disturbing trait with my otherwise so cool BB.

Jun 19, 2011Although the browser is significantly improved from 3.0, it still has the distinction of being the only app I've seen with bizarre graphics effects. They don't happen with the same frequency as before 3.1 but they are still pretty freakish.Just a few minutes ago, I wanted to post about the delay switching between apps, and I woke my tablet up, hit the home button (leaving the apps market) and flipped over to my bookmarks screen and tapped the one for Motorola Forum. I was presented with a screen which flickered extremely rapidly between a partially rendered apps market and the browser. This continued for maybe half a minute, until the apps market finally won out. The browser must have died, since it was not in the recent apps list when I then checked it. However, the usual dialog to force close or report was not given.
I launched the browser again, logged into this forum, and tapped start discussion, and I was given the form to do so, but when I tapped the subject textbox, it did not render the typical focus border and flashing caret, and even though the keyboard (I use swipeIt) would let me enter words, they were not being displayed in the textbox (although tapping the textbox again, positioned the caret as if there were characters in the box)
