LG G4 :: Phone Overheat Only When WiFi Is On

I bought LG G4 with my previous carrier T-Mobile. I never had an issue. I love the phone; however, recently I change carrier to AT&T and the overheat issues and battery drained with my wifi started. T-Mobile doesn't want to deal with my phone. AT&T is "no comprendo" or basically this phone is not ours. I contacted LG and after several tries and procedures testing they asked my to reset to factory default which I did. Now my LG G4 still overheating when I use wifi and the battery drained.

I'm seriously contemplating upgrading my LG G3 to an iPhone 5S. The reason is, I use my phone a lot for navigation, and unfortunately it seems that Androids just aren't up to the task, although, it could just be this particular model. Ironically, my old iPhone 4 would never overheat, even when I used Google Maps for several hours. However, every time I use Google Maps for just a couple of minutes on the LG G3, my phone overheats and then shuts down. I took it to the Verizon Store, where they told me it was a software issue, and they told me that they fixed the problem, but right afterward, I tried using it to navigate again, and it still continued to overheat. What should I do?

My Z5 compact gets very hot just doing every day tasks and when tested overheated after 10 mins of 4k video, is this normal? I've seen videos and people saying they get about 40 mins of 4k before overheating?

I overnight charge last night and i awake in the morning my phone just blank and I force shut down it (volume up+power button) and my phone just don't want to cooldown and making it hotter.. At this rate i just don't know what to do

I updated to Lollipop 2 days ago and ever since my phone seems to be constantly hot to touch and everything keeps crashing or running really slow and sluggish. I have had the phone actually freeze several times in last two days.

Recently I've bought the Nokai 5230 cuz of its affordable price and I love it very much.. Bt a few days ago my phone was like overheating even whn Im nt using Gps, internet, and I din even talk on the phone..I was jz texting and taking some pics with the camera n it went from warm to very hot.This is the 1st time Im using a touchscreen phone so is it normal? If I were to change a new battery will it solve my problem? N whr can I get a genuine Nokia battery for my 5230? N yea I seldom run any application on my phone. Normally I jz used it 4 sms ing and listening to musics.

I just used my cellphone normaly like a heavy data user, for some reason when i browse many flash pages or watch some flash movies on the web or the stock player the phone gets realy hot, not only on the back but in the display screen too, and is not the ambient temp. Because im always most of the time on fresh places.

i have been using Nokia 5230 for about a month and noticed something weird.sometime the battery is hot sometime is not.every night i put my 5230 on "offline", set alarm then put it under Pillow on my head. sometime in the morning the cellphone back will be verry hot. remove case, touch battery, and it is hot.
but sometime its just warm.also when using constant internet connection for my IMAP email, the battery also got hot. not that burning hot but it is a lot hotter than my previous phone ( Symbian 9 UIQ3, SonyEricsson M600i)also if i use 3G/3,5G instead of the normal GSM/EDGE, the phone become very hot if used for call. or for internet.
is this normal for nokia phones? i really dont want to leave my phone to nokia customer care. it will be took very long time and i need my phone with me everyday. and my old SonyEricsson M600i also already broken.

Okay, let me start by saying that I truely love this phone, except for one thing. My phone will consistently overheat to 100+ degrees. Also, along with this, about every 24 hours or so I will have to turn my phone off and on again because it becomes extremely laggy. I have never had to do this with any other smartphone that I have had.
Also, I did do the "cache clearing" that wasn't incorporated into the ICS update. Also, I have my phone limited to 4 background processes and I have the "don't keep activites" box checked under developer options.

Is there a way to see which app were updated by the system?My S5 is set to automatically update all apps. Yesterday, Jan 12 2015 some apps were automatically updated by my phone. Since then, the phone is overheating and does not appear to charge (wireless) at a normal speed...If I could figure out which apps were updated when, then I could either roll back the update or remove the apps.

So I use the Vehicle Nav Dock a lot. I live in NC, where we've had record heat (6 days straight of 103+ temps) and I leave my dock suction cupped to my windshield. Probably not the smartest idea as now the dock itself is warped and I have to give it a little bit of elbow grease to get it to lock in and connect.It hasn't lost any functionality and I love the new look of the dock and the ability to access any of your apps from the nav screen with the ICS update.

HI my 4 S doesn't take the charge any longer, and sometimes when I turn it off and plug it, it takes a little bit of charge but doesn't hold it long, and the phone get super hot. What should I do to fix that problem, I have donwload all the last version and the phone is only a few months old.

I was a FoxFi / Pdanet+ user for years with my Razr Maxx... now w/ this M8 and KitKat, it is no more.
Are there any apps available that work with Verizon on the M8 to be able to use your M8 as a wifi hotspot?
I thought verizon lost a lawsuit years about over this issue... not it appears that to get around the loss... android itself has fooked up being able to use your own data plan through a wifi hotspot. I do NOT have an unlimited plan, so by the court ruling, I should be able to use my phone as a wifi hotspt w/o paying verizon an wifi hotspot fee..

Most of the time, I use WiFi at home. On a recent trip, I used network voice to connect fine.
When I wanted to test Google Maps to see how it would work, it just kept saying "searching for network" (but never finding it and connecting)

I just recently rooted my phone, and now I am trying to get WiFi hotspot working. No luck yet.
I tried WiFi Tether TrevE Mod. I couldn't get the network to be seen on my tablet (Nexus 7 2013). I could see it from my laptop, as a ad-hoc network, but couldn't get it to connect.
I have used the built in WiFi hotspot when I was travelling overseas and had a local SIM card in; that worked great. That is the functionality I am looking for, so it works with tablets (more than one) at the same time.

I am staying at a hotel, I have a non jail broken 5s. I closed all my apps before I went to sleep. When I woke up, the apple weather app was on, which I never use. Also the settings page was open to a call setting screen which I can't figure how to get back to. Is it possible someone was looking through my phone via wifi (I'm alone in my room) the wifi at the hotel is not password protected. Nothing seems odd, no texts or emails to or from people I don't know. My bank accounts fine so far.

I've a Nokia 5230 since a week. I knew it has no wifi when I bought it. For some use, it would be nice to have wifi function (free hotspot without France per exemple), so I'm looking for solutions on Web. I've found an application "bluetooth-wlan-convert" (!!!) but I can't install it on my 5230 to test it (not compatible). I also have seen a microSD card with wlan function but it seems to work only on Windows CE or Linux based smartphones (http://www.chipchick.com /2006/09/spectecs_micros.html). If the price was acceptable, do you think if it could be use on Symbian based phones with an appropriate application ? Do you know other way for having wifi function on phone without wifi?

My new HTC One M8 looses wifi speed rendering it unusable when Bluetooth is switched, when off it works fine. Is this a frequency problem or a shared antenna issue, Im on mu second phoen and it still has the problem.

So this has been annoying me for months, My wifi always drops as soon as I connect to a bluetooth device. It's not just my Z3, but my dads does the same thing and a lot of the time our phones seem to interfere with eachother in the same way. Not sure if it's a problem with the router? Or if it's a device problem. But either way, it shouldn't happen.

On the Start screen, swipe left Tap "Settings" Go to "Wi-Fi" Make sure that "Wi-Fi networking" is enabled Select the connection that you wish to use
To use a mobile data connection:
On the Start screen, swipe left and go to "Settings" Tap "cellular" Switch "Data connection" to "On"

I should be getting my AT&T 950 today while at work. I'll have some time on break to play with it, but won't have WiFi. I don't want to use a ton of my data downloading a bunch of settings, I'd like to get most of the updates done at home when I am on WiFi.
