May 9, 2012I thought I would be able to turn off 3G again on my iPhone 4S once I upgraded to iOS 5.1. So why can I still not turn off 3G on my phone?

My current situation:
I am on a family plan with a total of two lines. My line is not eligible until 7/23, so all I can get is "early upgrade pricing". My mom's line is currently eligible for "full upgrade pricing". I am planning on using my mom's upgrade to get an iPhone 4. I want to preorder the phone from Apple.com on the 15th, and hopefully receive it the afternoon of the 24th. From my understanding, the microSIM that ships with the phone will be programmed for the line whose upgrade was used. However, the iPhone Upgrade Guide makes it sound like I can call AT&T once I receive the phone (and before I activate it), and have AT&T switch the microSIM from my mom's line to mine. Is this possible?

Dec 2, 2014It's my boyfriend's iPhone & we've dropped it plenty of times in the past going on 6 months now, so you can imagine it has plenty of cracks & the back had come off to where we taped it back on. Recently - a few days to a week ago I dropped it & it seemed fine until I tried taking a picture of our cats and the camera opened to a black screen. Everything else works fine except the speaker when we call out we have to put it on speaker for someone to hear us - already tried cleaning out all the ports. I don't want him to go to the iPhone store and have them complain about all the issues wrong with the phone and go extreme bill on him either. Yes I have tried restarting his phone, I just don't want to completely reboot it when it's under his mom's account & her iCloud. & The front facing camera works.

Apr 6, 2012I dropped it under a running sink 3 weeks ago. Its been in rice since. Ive tried turing it on but it just stays on an apple logo. Now there a pieace of rice stuck in the charger hole so i can't connect to anything. I took it to apple the guy said since its water damaged $150 for a replacement. But ive heard that if i just say it wont turn on and not mention the water they'll replace it for free. Also the liquid indicators in the adaptor and headphone jack both havent turned red well it still looks white so... also it still under warranty. ^^^Please READ first^^^Will they be able to find out that its water damaged? I wont tell and the indicators are still white?For a free one what should i say? should i say in wont turn on? what they think its just outta charge and i cant charge it because that pieace of rice is impossible to take out.Will they be able to take the rice out? Once in BB Maps, click on the Start GPS Navigation, then the BB button, and choose track up. I put the zoom on 2 and it makes for a pretty good voice turn by turn free GPS.

I was turning in on and off a couple time during the day and it started fine. Went to turn in on later and nothing happened. Nothing lit up or anything. I took out the battery and put it back in and nothing. I tried charging it for hours and still nothing. I've only had it about 5 months and the battery seems fine.
