Assuming you choose a bumper and not a third party case, which one will you get? I really like the white bumper on the black iPhone but I am not so sure about the black bumper on the white iphone. I think I will probably choose the white one as my free one and maybe buy the blue or orange. What about you guys?

Does anyone have a nokia phone from years back with expess on covers? think the its the 3210 i had I lost the back and if you caught the little metal strip antenna with your hand it killed the signal and droped the call!

a few weeks ago i saw somebody who got a free bumber by complaining to apple. Supposedly it solves the problem. I went to the apple store and what they tell me is ridiculous. buy a bumper im NOT going to buy a piece of plastic that cost 60 cents to make in china. FU&K that. or Return the iphone. Thats out of the damn question i love the damn phone i spend hours waiting in line. So if anyone can help me find that free bumper people have been getting for the issue that would be great. I just got an e-mail from Apple stating my order shipped, and will be delivered by August 3rd. Cool news, but I probably won't even use the thing as I don't appear to have any reception issues, and really like the look of the naked phone. The only real reason I'm thinking of using it, is to help protect the back a bit when setting it down on certain surfaces.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI phoned apple care, told them I had the antenna issue. He said he has to transfer me to his supervisor if it's about that. When the supervisor answered he asked me in detail how it happens. He got me to do it while I was on the phone with him. He said the reason for this is that he has to forward all the details to the engineering department.
He then said that even though it's a hardware issue, the engineering department are working on a software fix for next week.He said in the mean time he will send me a free bumper. However, he then said I might get the software fix before I receive the bumper, Monday prehaps?Apple are on top of this, even though jobs thinks its not an issue- it's clearly become one.
Anyone notice Apple's Bumper App showcases the white iPhone in it's photo gallery for the app on iTunes and IN the app itself.
View 11 Replies View RelatedThis is getting ridiculous. Now Apple basically got rid of all the bumper colors except for black. Black is the only color available for the "free case" program and no bumpers are for sale outside of that program. So I can't buy a different color even if I wanted to pay them $30 for it. They're effectively discontinued for now. I know they'll come back eventually (with the white iPhone) but for now it's "You can have any iPhone you want, as long as it's a black iPhone with a black bumper".

Now that you can't order white, are you going to go black instead? I mean they both have advantages...white shows less fingerprints and appears more "clean", but black makes video look better on the screen and is more sleek, and also probably won't show as much dirt.

I currently have a White iPhone 4S 16GB, at the time I purchased it through Verizon they had told me that I had to get the White version since the Black version was still out of stock. I figured that I can use the 14 day guarantee to my advantage so that when the Black version came back into stock I could just swap it out, well that wasn't the case at all since it didnt come back into stock in that time frame. So I'm stuck with a White iPhone at the moment when I really just want the Black iPhone. I spoke with Verizon and they informed me that there was nothing else that they could do but that it was possible to bring my iPhone into a store and see if they would be willing to exchange it for the Black iPhone. Before I went into Apple and testing this theory out, does anyone here know if this is a plausible solution or am I basically just stuck with the iPhone that I have?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm going to apple store, brent cross this thursday, and have phoned them up regarding this and they have told me they 'do not know yet'.I was wondering though, from your point of view, how would you see this: I have reserved a 32gb black phone. I did want a black but now that I've seen the white hands-on I think I would prefer it. I won't know until I go into the shop, however, and get my hands on either.I intend to be one of the first in line. I will wake up VERY early that day and drive myself down there. I have been saving up for 2 years to buy myself this phone and I think it'd be a waste if I didn't at least put in the effort on the morning to ensure the day went well. My only problem is, there will be two lines right? One for reservations and one for unreserved. I'm wondering if I could line up in reserved and then when the store opens and we find out what phones they have (whether white or not is available) if they will let me swap my reservation OR will they send me to the back of the unreserved line? And I'm worried what people will think if I bring my girlfriend with me and strategically place her at the front of the unreserved (without pushing in front of anyone ofc) and if they told me I needed to be unreserved to get a white I just swapped places with her (she wants a black one anyway but hasn't reserved)? In the end I didn't skip any lines and it's not like you moved back any number of places, and it's not like I didn't wait for the same time as you.
