May 28, 2012I keep getting error messages when upgrading my iphone3gs and ipad3 to 5.1.1.

Feb 12, 2010My phone when checked through Menu--> Ctrl Panel --> Phone --> SW Update shows an available Phone Software update. However, the only installation available is Update via PC. However, when I check through Device Manager, it shows no available update for my phone.Anyways, when I try to update through the PC using either Ovi Suite or Nokia Software Update, it correctly downloads the update, but during installation gives an error "Connection to Phone Lost" and leads to the Phone recovery screen presenting a screen guiding me to remove battery, followed by disconnecting charger, and then USB, and reinserting the same in th reverse order, pressing the power button for 1 sec. and then Retry. Even on following the instructions, the phone is not updated, and the only option is to terminate the update.Any suggestions how I could get to update the Phone Over-the-air or rectify the problems being faced while updating through the PC.

Aug 11, 2010I have a Bold 9000 and after upgrading software to v5.0.0.822 (1385) my BIS start working. I do have BIS conection, however the service is turned off on the phone. How can I activate this? If try to acess to the web the web browser tries to connect to wi-fi and I cannot change the type of connection to BIS.

May 3, 2010Since upgrading to firmware40.0.005 (custom version 40.0.005.224.09) videos get stuck after a few minutes, even knowing the sound still plays.I have made some research and spotted people complaining of that issue after upgrading to that firmware but it was a few months back, and surely Nokia wouldn't have text me last week to let me know about a firmware update if the problems with it havent been resolved.Any help would be much appreciated as I am using my phone to watch video a lot as it normally does the trick to keep my hyper active toddler quiet while out and about.Even a firmware downgrade would be accpetable, the videos being so important to avoid the little one destroying places (it was a god sent in A&E)

If I try USB connection, the OS crashes while trying to install phone software (windows 7 pro, Dell Inspiron 6400). I have uninstalled and re-installed all nokia software on the PC and still got the same results. Even without PC suite, the phone does not connect through the PC bluetooth anymore.

I put it back and that error message comes again and again . My memory card is SanDisk 2gb and was working properly till a few days ago. Feb 12, 2010I have a Iphone 3g that is unlocked and jailbroken running 3.0.1. For some reason once or twice a month my phone will say it has signal but nothing can be done on the phone that has to do with the mobile network. This is why I feel as if i should upgrade. Hopefully it will solve this issue, because getting signal to come back takes, a couple hard restarts and usually syncing with my mac.
I have watched some videos online that say that i can go into cydia and download blackra1n install the source and it will unlock it but i'm pretty sure that is after you update the OS to 3.1.2. Can someone shine some light on this for me?

Looks like the iPhone was shipped with iOS 5.0 after 5.1 was available. Irritating. Really irritating.So I set the 4S up as new phone, updated to iOS 5.0 and now have a shiny new 4S iOS 5.1with no data that is merrily syncing an empty phone with iTunes and iCloud and I still have a beaten up 3GS iOS 5.1 with all my info on it.I have a backup of the old phone but I don't know how to get that onto the new phone. I've tried iTunes/summary/restore which sets of an 803MB download - that's still going but I'm thinking I may have the same problem again.

Apr 30, 2012I just upgraded phones from a 3GS to a 4S on AT&T. I was using the 4S for a day before I backed up everything from my old phone to the new one. On the new phone BEFORE the backup I could use visual voicemail and siri understood me.
Now after I have backed up everything from my oldphone to the new one, visual voicemail is gone (and it's asking for a password to check voicemail, I don't know I had a password), and Siri doesn't understand the same things.

My phone started to overheat terribly - when I am using or charging it, and also the battery drains way too fast and it takes ages to charge it. I have tried restoring and hard reset, but nothing changes. I have searched the forum, but most people are having problems with battery drain, not the overheating.. I don't know what could be the cause of that and what do I do to get my normal phone back!
