I've used a SIM card in my Xoom during my vacation, but now I'm back at home I've removed it from the device. The problem is that I keep on getting a SIM error (SIM not present) each time I boot the thing. What's the easiest way to get rid of the error?

Every time restart it gives me message "Sim Card error encountered. A cellular data connection will not be possible untilyou insert a sim card power cycle the device ". I have also tried different sim and non of the work. Then tried original sim in my phone is working fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've Just completed the Official ICS Upgrade on my MZ616 Asia/Pacific model (purchased in Singapore). It Appears that Motoprint is broken after the upgrade? Attempting to print - results in an error "Unfortunately Motoprint has stopped" the only options given are to "Report" or "OK" the error message. Motoprint is up to date (Version 5.0.0.26) - and no updates appear to be available on Play Store. Accessing Motoprint through the settings menu gives the same error.

My laptop is showing a full strength signal from my home wifi. However, my Xoom (just had a it week) is only receiving two out of four bars and I am continually getting the "connection timed out" error message.
The two devices are sitting right beside each other so why the difference, and how can I improve my Xoom's connection?

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? I put it back and that error message comes again and again . My memory card is SanDisk 2gb and was working properly till a few days ago. The very first time that I tried to login several months ago I received the Error Message: "An Internal Error has Occurred. Please Log Out and Log In again." I have rteceived the same message intermittenlty since then and also today. This seems to me a problem with the servers not adequate to the demand and should be relatively easy to remedy. i use a variety to fitness sites -- Strava, Edomondo, Garmin Connect, Training Peaks -- and have never received a simmiliar message. I think Motorola should get a handle on this problem.

We've been informed by email that our Xoom 4G upgrade will be available in September (2011), early Sept or late Sept who knows. We'll also have to send the Xoom back for the upgrade so the inconvenience factor to get our 4g is high.
Well for those of us [i.e. myself] who bought early in the hopes that Motorola would exceed our personal expectations and put the upgrade in our Xooms quickly after the initial Xoom release on Feb 24, 2011, we've been disappointed with this unreasonably long delay.
The bar of what we expect from Motorola is now set by the Galaxy tab 4G and the tab speeds are, well, phenomenal.[URL].. So, a personal observation, the upgrade had better be stellar and fast now that the Xoom will [maybe?] be the No. 2 4g tablet on the Verizon network. You can't win the first to 4g tablet market race but you sure better not blow the performance side of 4g.
One the page that allows you to "Add a social network or media account" I have two icons for Facebook. I guess one was there, and then when I downloaded the FB app it created another one. I'm not using the social network feature, but I don't want two FB icons in there. I've uninstalled the FB app and then there is just one icon in there, but when I reinstall FB another icon appears. Is that just the way it has to be? I guess I can live with it if I have to.
