I have an iPhone 3G 16 GB, when i plug it into my PC in iTunes it says that it has the new software but it doesn't have the video camera or any new features and it only updates to 4.2.1 but as my friend has the same iPhone as me and has all the new features and her version is 5.2.1? It also doesn't allow me to download certain apps.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI dropped the bold and at&terrible and have taken my business to verizon and am the proud owner of a tour last night trying to install 5.0 I seem to have run into an issue using swiss army knife AND DM it wont load past the Loading RAM phase ive done bat pulls re wiped the phone, removed and reinstalled software finally I just said it and went back to verizon 4.7 and I STILL can not get past the loading RAM image.I am running windows xp through VMware on a macbook. I did read somewhere that running windows this way you can NOT update OS's past 5.0 but why would I still be having the same issues trying to install 4.7 anyone care to chime in because for now my phone isnt touring at all.
View 8 Replies View RelatedRight from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

The same problem occurs whether I have automatic time update on or off.Also once or twice a week it will download emails with the date 01/01/2000 instead of todays date. I can log into my emails via Outlook Express on my p.c and the date will be correct there.I have software version v20 installed, the same problems still occurred on the previous firmware as well.Any help greatfully received

I want to upgrade it to 2.1 and after scouring the internet for help I installed both the PC companion and the update service on my computer. However, whenever I connect my phone to my laptop both programmes say that the phone is up to date (even though it is still android 1.6). I even used the update service to reinstall the software on my phone, but still no luck.On the Sony-Ericsson product blog, my phone's SI number 1238-0204 is on the update rollout list, so I should be able to upgrade right? I'm using my O2 simcard inside a phone that is supposed to be locked to Tesco Mobile according to the box, but it works fine. Do you think that is why I can't upgrade?

Assuming all the models have 4.0 or 4.01 on it, do they update it to the newest firmware for you there? View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my iphone 4s to ios 5.1 last night and then today when I texted someone else with an iPhone using iMessage, my contact came up as my Apple ID email on their phone instead of my name that was associated with my phone number. This obviously caused a lot of confusion because my email isn't my name and the person I texted didn't know who the message was from. The message looks completely normal on my phone and their contact came up fine but mine didn't work on theirs. I also determined it was my phone that was the problem because I texted another person with an iPhone and the same exact thing happened again. I checked to see if anyone else had this problem and I couldn't find any postings on the Apple forum. So if you are having the same problem and/or know how to fix it,
