I've bought a second hand UK iPhone 4s locked to O2 and I'm heading back to the United States in the morning. I need to unlock it to use my American sim, and wondered if I use the apple auth unlock system whether it' matters where in the world you are.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so i updated my iPhone to last OS.. what happend? since the update it wont let me use any SIM card, i went to the carrier and they told me its a "Parameter" problem that happened when i updated it but my iPhone lost warranty.. im going again tomorrow cause its a carrier or hardware problem they told me that on an apple store today and they said that they have to help me with that but in case of getting my solicitacion rejected..

I've got an Iphone 3G updated to 4.0.1 and I did jailbreak it and unlock the network, but now when I open the Itunes I found a mandatory update for the carrier setting. My question is if i update it will I lose the jailbreak and the network will lock again?

I had a BB 8900 Curve which i replaced yesterday with a Bold 9000 and now cannot register the device on the carrier network. Calls etc are fine, just BIS will not. My previous 8900 worked fine? I have been on the phone with the carrier the entire day and they have not been able to resolve it. All i did was change the device in the BIS website and now it is broken.

The trouble is my phone will not accept my new sim, as i require a subsidy pin to unlock my t-mobile blackberry. I have contacted them, but as the account is now cancelled they can no longer give me the required pin.Instead, they asked me to contact blackberry directly to get the phone unlocked.

I ran Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock after rooting using ODIN etc - I put in the unlock code and it said unlock successful. After putting in my Orange SIM and switching on, I am getting the network error symbol and am unable to make calls. (Interestingly, I do get the Orange SIM Plus app icon on the phones desktop. Also, the phone still boots with the 3 logo - was expecting this to have disappeared completely!).

I wish I could have a cdma iphone for sprint.

I just moved to another country, and purchased a sim card for my unlocked iPhone 5s. After realising I purchased the wrong one, I cut down the micro sim to a nano. It seems like all services are working - I can make calls, receive texts, etc but the carrier name won't appear. Not sure if this is indicative of troubles to come. It appears blank next to the signal strength. Could this be because of the DIY sim card or was my phone not unlocked properly? I had it unlocked through my carrier back home.
