BB Tour 9630 :: Unable To Remove Email Account?
Jun 1, 2010I recently upgraded to the Tour from the 8830 at work. My IT dept transfered all my information and there is a gmail email account icon, but the account doesn't work. I set it up again in the Email Setup section, but its not working. I removed what I did and the gmail icon is still there, but doesn't work. Can anyone help? My IT dept rep is an absolute ***** and has done nothing to help me with this problem besides telling me "well, I guess you just can't use Gmail on this phone", which is absurd since I could use it on the old one, so I know BB supports it.

Jun 29, 2010Recently ported my number from AT&T to Sprint for Evo 4G. I never called AT&T ahead of time, or even told them I was canceling. Guy at Best Buy just took care of all of it when he ported number.I wanted to sell my Bold, but a day after I switched, I realized my gmail account is still on my BIS. So when I do a full reset to to sell the phone, my gmail account is still probably linked to it. I tried going into the email setup to remove it, but it says it needs a radio to do so, and I can't do that since my AT&T account is closed.Is my gmail still linked to my BIS even after my AT&T account is closed? Do I need to call them to remove it? I don't fully understand how BIS works so that is why I am asking here.

Jul 28, 2012An old gmail account shows up on my Torch 9800 in Setup-->Email Accounts as an Enterprise Account. It also appears as an Enterprise Activation icon on my Torch screen. Finally, it appears on Contacts-->Select Contact List. This gmail account was once on my Torch as an Internet Mail Account, but I deleted the account (from gmail and from the Torch). It no longer exists as far as Google is concerned. It never was and never should never have been an Enterprise Account, and I don't know how it became one. How can I completely wipe this gmail account from my Torch?

Mar 24, 2012I have recently synchronised my old Blackberry curve with my new Blackberry torch and unfortunately an old defunct email account has been transferred across - there was no way of removing this prior to the transfer.I have created a new email account and receive emails to this address, however, when I try to send an email, I have the option of chosing which account I use to send this from. I can cope with this, but what I cannot do is forward a received email onto someone else as my phone just appears to automatically select the old email address as the default one and I no longer have this email account. I cannot remove this from my phone as when I have tried to "delete an email address" the old address is not shown anywhere no matter where I have looked.
