May 8, 2012I have delete the custom ringtone from itunes. but there still have 2 tones in my iphone after sync, others have remove succesfully.

Jul 21, 2011The changes made to the email account mechanism is causing me grief. Who thought it would be a good idea to remove the functionality to assign each email account their own notification ringtone? I use this as a tool to know when an email is from my personal account or from my work account. Now I have to pick the phone every time to find out which it was. That was dumb of Motorola. It need to be returned to it's previous level of functionality. I speaking of the corporate email accounts specifically.

May 29, 2012After upgrade to the 5.1.1 iOS I was not able to set individual ringtone to each of contact anymore.
All my contacts are using the same default ringtone when ever anyone calls.
When I go into contact and hit edit I can see the different ringtone already setup for each contact and when I click it I can hear it play just fine. Then I exit and went back to main screen and try to call the phone and it still using the default ringtone.

Jun 23, 2012I am unable to sync my custom made ringtone from iTunes to my iPhone4s. I have Windows 7, I have properly formatted the 30 sec ringtone into a .m4r and it is in my Tones folder. I have checked all settings on iPhone and iTunes, I have been trouble shooting for 2 hours and read everything possible in the Apple community to no avail.

Apr 1, 2010Just got the Samsung Corby Pro through Rogers- tried to use a home-made recording mp3 as a ringtone. The mp3 loaded and plays fine in the phone but when I tried to set it as a ringtone- the message "unsupported file type" comes up.
The other ringtones that the phone comes with are all mp3 as well- just wondering what I need to do to turn my own mp3 into the "supported" file type for ringtone use.

I have done everything correctly & the settings show that the new ringtone has been saved, however the old ringtone sounds when a text or other notification is received. I keep checking the settings & it shows the newly saved one, but obviously this does come through as that one ....NB I have successfully changed my Phone ringtone, the problem only lies with the Notification one.

I previously installed Buzz me from the app store on my phone, and despite having uninstalled buzzme and removing it from 'my world' in the app world, the only ringtone my phone will use is the lame 3 beep tone that came with Buzz me. When I go into my accounts, I don't see an icon for MySpace any more (I understand that MotoBlur is no longer compatible with MySpace). Instead, I see a green icon with my MySpace account email. Below the email is [URL]. When I try to remove this account, it just stays there.
The MySpace information is still embedded in my contacts as well. Is there a workaround to get this removed?

Sep 26, 2011I have 4 apps on the very bottom of my home screen. When I move between home screens, these icons stay in place.Calculator, maps, iD & a square I touch to open my applications. I am trying to remove/delete the calculator icon but am having trouble doing so.Any other app I can hold, it vibrates & turns red and I just drag it to the trash can. These 4 icons at the bottom of the screen don't.
When I touch the calculator icon, the calculator opens. When I touch and hold the icon for the calculator, it opens a new window that says ADD TO DOCK
and lists programs/apps to add to the dock. No options to remove.
Again, I can not hold it down to drag it to the trash can.
know how I can remove this calc icon? Is this bottom row on my screen something special where apps permanently reside?

Apr 15, 2010This is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

Jun 1, 2010I recently upgraded to the Tour from the 8830 at work. My IT dept transfered all my information and there is a gmail email account icon, but the account doesn't work. I set it up again in the Email Setup section, but its not working. I removed what I did and the gmail icon is still there, but doesn't work. Can anyone help? My IT dept rep is an absolute ***** and has done nothing to help me with this problem besides telling me "well, I guess you just can't use Gmail on this phone", which is absurd since I could use it on the old one, so I know BB supports it.
