Jan 22, 2010the phone keeps restarting itself (it is now up to 5 times a day if not more!!!), and at night it even turns itself off (I mean I wake up in the morning and the phone is off). The other bug is that I cannot exit applications through the "open apps" menu (which is accessed by long-pressing the menu button). When I try to exit an application through there the phone crashes.
I did hard reset, soft reset, formatted E drive (each of those several times btw) and none of this helped. I took it to the nokia care center (the only one in Israel BTW!) and they said that they've never heard of those problems and it shouldn't happen, so they reinstalled my firmware. After that didn't work, I came back to them and they tried reinstalling the firmware again (they thought something maybe went wrong last time) and that didn't work either................

When the sending was half finished the phone restarted and then it kept restarting once a minute (basically right after turning on).So i turned it off completely and then turned it back on and it seems to be fine. Dec 29, 2011Unfortunately, now it won't turn on. It gets as far as checking SD card, then the screen shuts off and won't come back on. I tried going into safe mode but there it just hangs on the Droid Eye screen and never gets past it. I tried clearing the cache to see if something had gone wrong there, and the problem persists. Am I right to assume this is merely an SD Card corruption issue?
I don't have another SD Card handy at the moment, and probably won't until I get home tonight

Jul 19, 2014I got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.

Feb 13, 2011I had a contract with Vodafone over 2 years ago and decided on the BlackBerry Storm 9500 handset . After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up

"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.

Mar 29, 2012My friend gave me his iPhone 3GS today (He updated to a 4S)When he first showed it to me, with him SIM still in, everything was working completely fine.Randomly after resetting, the home button stopped working.I thought after I put in my SIM, and factory reset it, it may start working (If it was a software problem)My iPhone did not pick up on any SIM being put into it at all. It also started resetting constantly, over and over. I ended up turning off the phone. When I got home, I connected it in. It said it detected the iPhone as being in "Recovery mode", so I have restored it again.It is now doing an "iPhone Software Update" which is 687MB in size (My Mum's SIM is currently in the phone while it does it) My question is, now that it is doing a software update, will this help the problem?And is there any known simple solution to the home button not working?
