IPhone :: What Is The Difference Between Restoring And Resetting Etc
May 12, 2012
What's the difference between going on to iTunes and hit restore button and By holding the power button and home button at the same time? Also the diff between those and the factory settings?
Today I went running using Runkeeper app with a friend of mine. I have an iPhone 4S, he has the 4.We both used the same app, and ran the same track. Since it is an official track, we know the exact distance. It should be 11,4 km (7.13 miles). My phone told me I ran 12,07 km (7,54 miles). This is way off, and screws up my average speeds etc.The funny thing is, that the iphone 4 of my friend had an accurate 11,4 km. The conditions were the same; bit cloudy, bit rain, bit sun. Some trees above, some open sky. The only difference I can think of is that he has an jailbroken iphone and I do not, and his is a 4. I have an iPhone cover (Moshi something), he doesn't. In my opinion he should be the one having inaccurate GPS, not me.
Are there any difference between pre-ordering from the two of these places? How would i get my phone to work if i per-order from apple? I have a iphone 3G and plan to upgrade it to the iphone 4.if i pre-order from the ATT website, i am guessing that i will get the iphone 4 with the same number, useable with the same contract.while my old iphone goes 'signal-less'.correct? what about from apple? how will I activate it to my ATT account?
So from what I've gathered from various sites, the GM and the final release check out - except for the omission of the Game Center platform. If there were no additional bugs or functions, then is it even worth going back and installing the official release? Having to transfer 28GB of files is such a tedious project.
When viewing email on my 4s and sliding my finger to the right to get a delete button, sometimes i get 'Archive' instead. Why is that? How do i just get the 'Delete' button and where do the archived items go?
I recently downloaded the iphoto app to my iPhone 4s. I am hoping to clear up some space on my iphone and I deleted some pics from what I thought was the camera roll within iphoto. I noticed later that while attempting to change my wallpaper, I noticed that pics I thought I deleted were still on the phone as evidenced by their availability to be used as wallpaper. I checked that I had selected cameral roll and not photostream, where it would make sense the photos would still be there. When I left settings I noticed that I have iphoto and the phots app on my iphone. Do I need both? And if i want to delete photos, do I need to delete photos from the cameral roll within iphoto AND the photos app??
i use an iphone 4s for the last 3 months and from today morning onwards there is a difference in the color of the csreen. The screen has became lighter and slightly yellowish. There is difference in the clor at the and bootoop part of the screen.
In an iphone, with emails, whats the diffference between the Outbox and the Sent folder? Sometimes when I send an email it will go to the Sent folder, but sometimes it go to the Outbox one, and will stay there permanently.
I was sending SMS messages to a friend. And the bubbles where green Now all of a sudden they've changed to blue with small writing saying I message above and the bubbles have changed to blue?
I'm still using my iPhone 4 without a case or any screen protector, and am looking for a full-body protective film/skin.I've been reading a lot about BSE, Zagg, SGP, PS, Wrapsol, Skinome - all those screen protectors/protective films. My question is: is there that big of a noticeable difference in quality between those and a $1.99 screen protector from Meritline?
I used the Incipio Feather on my 3GS, and used the screen protector included. It was clear; I had no trouble applying it; it didn't feel "orange peely" - it basically worked fine.
Does anyone have comparison pics (even on an old phone) that shows the diff between generic cheapo films, and the ones that cost 10x as much?
I come across these two terms and sometimes they appear interchangeable. Any idea what the difference is between these two terms. Or do they mean the same?
Is there any way to know if an iphone is truly factory unlocked? Whether it be a 3G, 3GS or iP4? I need to purchase an unlocked iphone and I don't want to purchase a software unlocked iphone by mistake.
i recently have readjusted my iphone 4s;) it is originally black and i have removed the front screen, but my question is 'if i bought a white digitizer + screen, would it be completely compatible with the black iphone 4s?'
I have three questions: What is the difference between camera roll and photo library? Second: If my storage is full on the iPhone and it tells me that it can't record video but to check iCloud storage and I have 22 Gig available, how do I make use of that? I have Photo Stream off. Should it be turned on? Third: Now the button on the camera will not slide back to the photo taking position but stays on the video position, how do I fix that?
I moved down to the 2 GB per month plan (regretting that decision) and now I'm worried that I'm going to go over when using Pandora in my car.Does anyone about how much data pandora uses hourly? Also, what's the bandwidth difference between normal and high quality?
I noticed that when I enter a time for an event on my calendar on my iphone then sync it to icloud the event is show but the time for the event shows a 2 hour difference. Example: Dental appointment set for 9:00 am on my iphone but after sync to icloud on my PC, it shows the time to 7:00 am on my PC calendar.
