IPhone :: Volume Slider Has Disappeared?
Jun 16, 2012The phone wont play music out loud including videos and such, the volume slider has disappeared from the any media screen and wont make my alert sound for texts, ringer volume also disappreared. But sometimes it will come through as a text and then the volume slider will again disappear. Or best to go to genius bar? Ive tried a reset, plugged in to itunes and charger and nothing has worked.

Jun 29, 2012When using my iPhone 4 to do anything like listen to music, watch a video or just using apps, the volume bar disappears from the screen and the sound stops. When I get texts and things sometimes it just vibrates and doesn't make a noise. I know the speakers still work because when I go to the settings and touch the sound bar it makes the test noise to show you how loud it will be.
This problem is the same when using my headphones. I've tried syncing it to my laptop & making sure it has the latest iOS version.

Apr 19, 2012My slidebar that appear at the bottom of my iphone when i am playing music, you tube, etc... right below the play, rewind, etc buttons is missing, there use to be a slidebar with a blue line that i could slide my finger and adjust the volume, well, that slidebar disppeared 1 month ago and i am unable to hear anything, my ringtone is the only thing i can hear and sometimes it dont work, i have an iphone 4, i have been thru the settingsand cant find anything that will bring my slide bar for volume control back, does anyone know how to get the slidebar to reappear so i can hear music, etc...

When I play a music (using iPhone speakers), the iPhone automatically switches from 'iPhone" into "docking station" after several seconds of playing a music.
I've already been resetting iPhone, cleaning the docking station port off - it's ok from the hardware point of view. Â

May 5, 2012I stupidly thought that the ICS upgrade would get this bluetooth controller to work with the Onlive app on my SGSII. Whilst it pairs and does control the phone, it seems to be random movements as all sorts of random mayhem begins as soon as you press any of the buttons. I'm going to investigate this a little more but has anyone else tried this? I have an HDMI output and the idea of my little phone being a portable games console capable of playing games ike Arkham City is too much for the technophile in me, especially as I travel a lot.

A few days ago the video player stopped displaying the mini controller (play/pause, rewind, forward) at the bottom of the screen and I can no longer swipe to control volume or brightness like I used to. It does this for all types of videos, whether they are my own or ones streaming from the internet. How can I get this feature back? I'm not sure what I did to make it go away!

May 17, 2010finesse, sch-r810 that will respond at all. i lost web and wap after flashing, called metropcs after a few weeks, and lost voice service moments after that. service could not be found, thought i'd just flash again. a problem occurred that left my phone with no filesystem (i assume), and now i dont think anything is seeing my phone (com ports inactive). ive tried the well knowns that google would offer, bitpim, qpst, qdxm, p2k, multiloader and others, as well as plenty of non-samsung software that i thought/hoped might work (unipst, optiflash, others). just this evening i downloaded sdk tools and weird 'unlock sim' 'secret zone' softwares, nothing.
i actually recorded the processes, both computer and phone screens (desktop capture+webcam). planned an upload to Internet, but would like a solution/tip to accompany the problem. thats why the cdma request, or any software that can access qualcomm chipsets, or similar/usable characteristic. my model seems replaced to have been by newer samsung phones, though if the internals are similar, i'd like to express that to others.
administrators: i did post this just a minute ago in the metropcs forum first, by mistake. ive got a thousand tabs open and didnt notice until after the 'submit', if youre going to remove one, do that one please. its not in a general place and i didnt quickly see how to delete. thanks.

Jul 27, 2010One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.

Jun 27, 2012Every app I have that requires volume to listen works fine. But when I close the app, my ringer volume level is still in app mode volume. The app volume completely takes over my ringer volume level although in settings it never really changed. In order for me to get my ringer volume back to it's set volume, I have to go into settings and move the volume up or down. Then and only then do I have control over the ringer volume with the buttons on the side of the phone.

Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?

I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue. It's frustrating how a person can't hear music at all, and having no use of the volume buttons. I am still under my 30 day warranty, I'm considering taking it back and exchanging for a new one.
