IPhone Loses WiFi While Xbox Is Connected
Jun 30, 2014So, the kids got this Xbox for Christmas. It is connected via ethernet cable and it works fine for them. The problem lies when they are on the XBox, almost no one else can connect to wifi, even if we were connected prior to them getting on XBox. Oddly enough, 80% of the time my iPad 3 can connect, but the 4 iPhones cannot (we have to 4S's and 2 5's). it is a nightmare here. We have to wait for the XBox to shut off and then reset the modem EVERY TIME we want to access the wifi. Then the whole problem starts over again when they get on the XBox. We use a Westell 7500 Modem. I only get XBox related troubleshooting advice.

Nov 18, 2012i just got my lumia 710 from my service provider 6 days ago, and no xbox live tile is found when i unboxed it.the "game" tile is merely THE games hub, and not the xbox live that i was expecting.i had it checked with my local nokia center, and it still the same. and said they will still have to verify whether xboxlive is not included in latest update or not. she seemed indecisive. i tried to download "xbox extras" in marketplace, but it doesn't reflect on my game collections.

Jun 19, 2012ive been looking at things you can do with the otg cable for galasy s 2 an dam it looks cool. so i got myself a cable 2 acctualy cuz they werent very expensive 1 from amazon an 1 from ebay 2 different cables. it works when i connect a usb flash driver to it totaly fine no problems at all. so i tried my usb mouse/kb, but no luck after a little bit of research i found out that some kb/mouse dont work if they need power so i moved on from that. then i watched some videos an read some threads about using an xbox 360 wired pad but i have the same problem, the lights flash once an then dont come back on an acts like its not powered ive seen others use same pads online an they work fine but not for me.
ps my cables do work usb storage is proff an pad is perfectly fine as i use 2 pads on xbox an work fine.

Jun 24, 2012I have an I phone 4 running on 5.0.1 and when I try to send mms while connected to wifi (still have 3G) it will tell me it's delivered but to whom I am sending it to won't recieve it I used to be able to but recently it stopped. But when my wifi is off and the recipients wifi is off it sends just fine. But only if we both have it turned off.
Shouldn't it still be able to send if we are both connected to wifi? It would just use the network any ways correct? But it's not recognizing it and it's causing me a lot of issues.

Nov 15, 2012Does anyone have XBOX Video purchases working on their Lumia 920? I have purchased several TV shows and movies, all of which play fine on my desktop, laptop, and Microsoft Surface. Some of the video is from the Zune store and one of the videos is from the XBOX store on Windows 8. Regardless of how I purchased the content, I get the following message: "We are unable to confirm the media usage rights for this content."
If it matters, I have a Lumia 920 on AT&T in the U.S.

Oct 5, 2013I want to synchronize my music to my phone, but cannot. This is extremely frustrating. The program I use to sync music to my phone is HTC sync manager. This program can sync libraries directly from ITunes and windows media player, however not xbox music. The computer I use, and where all my music is, is a Microsoft surface tablet with windows 8, where xbox music is the default music program. My whole library is on xbox music and I cannot find an easy way to import my whole xbox music library into windows media player as there should be. It would take me an unrealistic amount of time to rebuild my whole library (as in every single playlist) and import songs individually into windows media player. I am sure there is an easier way, and if there isn't, one needs to be made.

May 23, 2012I think perhaps one email was successfully sent from Mail, but nothing more till I returned home. Mail said it was a server error on the outgoing server, but it appears too coincidental with being overseas. Also a couple of apps I tried didn't work (Viber, and as I might have expected, Catchup TV as it's for UK viewers).
Any tips for using the phone overseas? I switched data roaming and Mobile Data off as I didn't need them in the hotel room (and for the cost of course) and switched these both back on when I arrived in the UK. But it seems odd that I could not send Mail in a Wifi environment.

Jun 1, 2012I have set up my iPhone to use my Gmail account, and it works fine when I am using my home wifi or 3G. But when I am at work and connected to my work wifi, I can receive mail, but I can not send mail. It says "Sending..." and hangs there until I get back to 3G or my home wifi. This happens if I configure my mail account using the built in Gmail settings or if I set it up as an Exchange account. I can send emails using the native Gmail app, or using the Gmail web app in Safari. But not if I use the iOS Mail app or Sparrow.

Sep 1, 2014Since the Lumia Cyan update (2 weeks ago in the UK) the Xbox music live tile no longer works. Before the update ... When you were playing music, the artist picture would show on the tile and then have the name of the artist running across the tile. Looked really nice and smooth.
Since the update though there is nothing. The tile just shows the headphones...

The issue is that when I am on wifi and out of service the phone will not send iMessages or texts over wifi unless the phone is in Airplane mode. Does anyone know how to make wifi the default iMessage so that I can send iMessages over wifi without going to Airplane mode? It tries to send them but it acts as if there is no service when I have full wifi and as soon as I switch to Airplane mode and keep wifi connected, all messages send fine.

Sep 1, 2010I am not able to send email over the wi fi connection. I recieve it but can't respond or send an email that I compose. Also, I do not get the option to send from the general message folder even though it allows me to compose or reply from that location. I tried to get into the setup menu to check my email settings but it won't let me in there without connection to a mobil network, and I live in a dead spot, so the wi fi is critical. Do I have to go find a mobil connection to access these settings?
