BB Curve :: Nothing Will Save On Media Card?
Jun 3, 2012I have a 4GB media card and nothing will save on it at all. I can't take videos or pictures anymore as it keeps saying 'File not Found' and I can't download music on it anymore. This problem has been going on for some time now, I can't remember when it started to happen exactly, but it is really annoying as media was one of the main things I used my phone for.

Apr 23, 2010Pix that I take with the camera show up on the device as "Camera Pictures," even though I've configured it to "support media card," and to store camera pix on the card. I must manually move these camera pix to the "unfiled" folder on the device.
Shouldn't the pix automatically go to the card?

Jan 24, 2010Since upgrading to Version 5.0.1 neither the media manger nor blackberry media synch now work. the media manager always prompts to install and downloads but then does nothing. The blackberry media sync gets so far after launch the gives an error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but cannot get the media manager to install so cannot now get any media off my phone or on to it. Any ideas anyone?

Since that I only have one glitch, the media folder is called net_rim_bb_file_explorer.Media I assume that's the internal name, not the display name, anyone knows how to rename it?? I don't want to mess with the OS by downgrading or things like that, I'm quite happy with how the phone works as it is...

Jul 31, 2010I have Storm (9500) and I've been trying for a few hours to transfer photos from my media card to my PC. Every time I connect to Media Sync with my Storm, I receive a messages saying my device is not recognised and to make sure the card is inserted correctly etc. here is what I have done and I still receive the same message -
Taken out the media card and reinserted it
Taken out the battery and reinserted it
turned all the settings in (Options Memory) to on
Auto Enable Mass Sttorage Mode when Connected is set to Yes
Tried connecting to all USB ports on the PC ( I have 4)
PC OS is Windows 7
I've checked for all possible updates on BlackBerry Software (Device and Desktop and Media Sync) I have a completely updates Storm in terms of Software.

Jul 29, 2011Last night I bought two CDs on line. i downloaded them to my computer and plugged in my phone to download to the phone. Media link started up and downloaded every CD on the computer before I could stop it. (I had selected only the new CD's in media link) I had to go into my music and delete everything that was duplicated. Then I discovered that my playlists were all empty. I had gone though all of my music and put all songs in playlists. Now I had to do it again!! I thought I was all fixed up and discovered this morning that all 1,290 photos from my computer were loaded onto my phone as well. DO NOT leave media link on your computer. I'm removing it when I get home and I'll start doing the old copy/paste routine. Motorola should send warnings about Media Link to all customers.

Jun 28, 2011I'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
IPhone :: Restoring 4S To IOS 5.0.1?
Mar 17, 2012I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4S 16GB running iOS 5.0.1. Just like everyone else, I have major battery drain! It loses like 20% overnight! I sleep For about 8 hours. So thats 20% gone in 8 hours. So I was thinking of restoring it. When I click on the Restore icon in iTunes it starts updating my phone to iOS 5.1! I don't want to update to 5.1. So I was wondering whether I could download iOS 5.0.1 from the web and then Shift + Click on the restore icon and restore my phone. Will that work? A lot of people are saying that it won't work because Appl has stopped signing iOS 5.0.1. I have no idea what that means. But I used to Shift + Click and restore my old iPhone 3G and it restored perfectly. It's still running iOS 3.1.3 haha. And Its also factory unlocked.
So, would Shift + Clicking on the restore icon in iTunes and manually selecting iOS 5.0.1 restore my phone? I really don't want to update.

Apr 10, 2012Having a few issues with my phone. It will 'sleep' and then upon clicking it no longer wakes, so I have to restart everytime. Anyway, I would like to restore it, since I've never had to do this I'm not quite sure what actually is missing after restoring from a backup. As far as I know sms and such things dont get restored? How can I restore the phone that it's basically exactly the same after (sms, notes, settings etc.)?

Jul 6, 2010I have an iPhone 3gs i want to sell that has 3.1.3 on it with jailbreak a la Spirit and unlock a la blacksn0w. I have apps and personal data on there, and did the SHSH blob backup of 3.1.3 to Cydia right before 4.0 came out. Is there any easier way to restore it to stock than put 3.1.3 on there again (I fear it will not be accepted or some error even though I have the "blob backup" a noobie in that department and just followed instructions from a dev's twitter). Is there an easier way to restore the phone to clean, re-JB and re-unlock? Maybe like manually wipe all contacts, photos, and apps (that should take care of my personal data, right)?
Also, only going to sell my 3GS if iPhone 4 is not unlocked before the end of the summer. I'm going to Europe in the Fall and if this isnt the case, I'll just be bringing 3GS with me .
