I upgraded the software of my iPhone 4s to 5.1.1, immediately after the upgrade it no longer detects my sim card. Tried reinserting the sim as well.

I recently updated my X10 to the 2.3 version (Gingerbread) earlier this week, but doing so has brought along a problem. Ever since I have updated i cant get into my SD card on the Phone, or when I run PC companion. I have to slots here at home for me to test the card, but it was working absolutely fine until the update, honestly it was seconds afterwards it stopped working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently, after cracking the screen on my HTC Sensation, I decided to have a go at replacing it myself.After changing the digitizer, the screen seemed to work ok however, the SIM card and the SD card are nolonger detected when inserted. I've tried numerous SIM cards, and none work (in other words, it's nothing to do with the SIM card nor the SIM card holder!). Everything else seems to work fine.
I disassembled/reassembled the phone again with the same result. From what I can tell, all four of the flexi connectors are correctly engaged.I performed a factory reset on the phone with the same result.I've inspected the flexi's/PCB's under a microscope and can see no component/flexi/PCB damage.I've blown the insides out with air to remove any potential debris shorts.All of the disassembly was performed on an ESD mat with ESD strap, so I don't think I've done any static damage.
Xperia Z3 just came back from repairs, apparently they did software upgrades and replaced a hard drive, now its not reading my memory card. It was fine before the repair though.

And it is already damaged to my SIM also (SIM was worked perfectly when I have this problem). So I bought a new SIM and insert it and again my phone gave me same error. But my new SIM is work properly in other phones now also. I already updated the firmware of the phone. But still it not detecting the SIM.

The phone seems unable to detect it however
The card works fine on the PC, and I tried out a couple of other microSD cards (lower capacity though - 2 and 4 GB) in the phone, and they work fine as well. So it's just this combination of 32 GB card + N8 phone that seems broken.
For some reason my media card has become un-detected by my curve. It has worked fine for the past month or so that i've had it and now it's just disappeared. In Memory settings everything is switched to 'On' but the handset doesn't want to recognise the card for some reason. I took it out and put it back in and got nothing, did a soft recent by pulling the battery and still nothing.

It applies to the noise cancelling and standard headphones.
Headphones work just fine (tested on a different audio player).
I was excited to receive my e-mail yesterday regarding my available Lollipop Z2 update availability. Sat down, opened PC Companion on my Windows 7 laptop, made a backup for settings (no photos or apps), and then proceeded to receive the update.
PC Companion asked me to keep phone disconnected and that it would notify me when to connect (nice too)...
I started the download, but apparently the laptop went into sleep mode (not plugged to wall), which was another reason not to have phone connected (battery drain due to Z2 charging until 100%)
The rest is blurry, but when I woke the laptop up, it stopped downloading at 51% and kept extending the duration timer.
Proceeded to restart the laptop, but when I attempted to connect the phone... nothing. It charges fine, but is never detected by laptop. The Wireless Media Transfer option was still working, but it would refuse to download Update (as if USB connection was needed). Tried installing on another PC (with admin priviledges) and no go.
Phone never started update... works perfectly with that exception. MTP, MSC, USB Debugging, nothing works). Helium doesn't work. Nothing!!!
The Lollipop update was not destructive (no erasing of phone data), but it seems that I will probably need to reset phone.
I updated my cellphone from Anna to Belle and I have found out that the earphones are not getting detected.

Since doing this however Facetime no longer works or the find iphone ability through iCloud - just says that its not available. Phone is working fine on everything else. I applied the latest update to my phone and it failed.iTunes suggested that I restore the device.The restore operation failed as well.Now my iPhone is no longer detected iTunes.It does not appear as a removeable drive or camera to Windows.Online troubleshooting failed to help.The only reaction that I observed is that Windows informes me that I had connected a high speed device to a slow (USB 1.0) port and suggested connecting it to another port.Next I am going to take it to the AT&T store where I got it and see if they can help.
