Running OS X Lion (10.7.3) on new iMac. Not sure what changed recently but now, when I plug in my iPhone, it does not sync with iTunes, nor does it open iPhoto to import photos. In fact, it doesn't recognize that the iPhone is plugged in at all, but the phone does charge of course.

Maybe this topic has been discussed already but I cannot find it. Ever since updating my OS to version 6.x from 5x OS I can no longer open a mms with a pic/video and sound bite simultaneously. i.e. If someone sends a video with sound file or a picture with sound file, it used to open simultaneously. Now it only shows as a separate pic/vid to open and separate sound file to open. It used to work before the upgrade and no longer works. I tried every which I can to change setting on my phone but no matter what it always separates the file.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my iPhone to my computer, iTunes only SOMETIMES opens up. I would say it's less than half the time. I know the computer is seeing the iPhone because the "disk drive" box that pops up (that shows the photo directory) ALWAYS opens and I see it in device manager. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes numerous times and it didn't help. It's a Windows 7 64bit PC. The phone is jailbroken but it did the same thing before the JB.

I install an app on the playstore for remote control of kodi on my htpc computer , after uninstalling it , noticed when I long press and hold my home button It no longer opens up voice search, it opens google now cards page I then have to click on the mic button at the top to perform a voice search.
Is there a way to reset this ? , I uninstalled updates on google app cleared data ect , now when I press and hold my home button I only get these 2 options.
If I select "google" it opens google now page (same way as above)
Looking for a way tog et pack the long press home button and you can instantly start talking to the google voice .

I have a MacBook Pro (version 10.5.8). I recently installed a new hard drive, battery, and had the Genius Bar reinstall my OS X. Now, iTunes and iPhoto don't recognize my iPhone 4 (version 5.1) when it's attached through the USB port. It simply doesn't show up in the left column of either program. Before the hard drive, battery and reinstall of OS X, I never had this problem.
I have tried restarting my phone and my computer, and looking for my iPhone in Image Capture, and none of these actions have worked.

I am a lifelong apple user. I am running the latest IOS software on iTunes and my MacBook uses OS X 10.7.3. All of the software is up to date. I was originally upset because iPhoto and Image Capture would not detect my iPhone 4 but I got over it. Now iTunes won't detect the phone and that is not ok. I searched the forums but I didn't find anything that has resolved the issue. I cannot delete iTunes and reinstall because my computer tells me it is "required by OS X". Therefore, searching finder and deleting then re installing will not work.

I've just installed iOS 5.1.1, discovered that not all photos that I checked in iTunes had been synchronized to my iPhone, noted that Other was taking up lots of space, restored the iPhone from a backup, discovered that it still did not subsequently sync all requested photos, selected to sync no photos and delete those on the iPhone, and am in the process of once again syncing the photos that I selected.
Now I notice that I selected 25,287 photos, but iTunes is reporting "Copying photo ... of 13,320". Why just 13,320? I elected to erase all the photos on the iPhone, so I would expect that iTunes would have to copy all 25,287!
Maybe Apple would be wise to invest some cash in software quality control. iOS 5 and iPhoto '11 are seriously flawed.

I recently updated itunes, and iphoto and iphone and now the iphone will not connect to iphoto to download pictures. IPhone will connect to flash card thru usb port. My iPhone 3G is being recognised perfectly happily by iTunes, but absolutely nothing else. It doesn't appear in Finder and doesn't open iPhoto when I plug it in, so I can back up my photos.
I've tried restarting both the Mac (which is running Snow Leopard) and the iPhone. I've tried several cables. The result is always the same. iTunes spots the iPhone (it did use to automatically open iTunes, but I stopped that) and nothing else. No icon on the desktop, no appearance in Finder and won't show in any searches I do.
How can I fix this, and start backing up photos again?
I dont know what to fo i keep getting a USB Device Not Recoganized pop up. This has never happened before and I have no clue what to do. I also cannot manually sync my phone through settings because it says that my computer is not available.

I just bought the iPhone 5c. When I plugged it in to my old itunes it synced all of my old music. I wanted to start fresh so i made an icloud account and deleted all of those songs. I then signed on with my new account. After this, itunes will no longer display my phone as a device. I have an iPhone 4, I believe that I have disconnected my iPhone from iTunes while it was updating (accidentally, of course) and it now says it's still connected to iTunes despite no longer being physically attached by the cord and will not load any other screen. I have tried force reboot and it restarts, yet still says it's connected to iTunes. The computer gave an alert, informing me that there had been a malfunction and that the device was now unreadable. I've had a look for a solution and can't find a resolution to this particular predicament. I am not adverse to restoring it to factory settings, although there are some pictures that I would like to take off it before doing so.

I have 10 albums that I sync to my iPhone. I have a specific photo that I have saved as "0" so that it's first when I sync, creating a cool album cover. However, since the recent iTunes update, when I sync photos to my iPhone, it sync them out of order and sometimes creates duplicates. Occasionally, some photos are in the wrong albums.
I unchecked all albums, synced, then resynced with the albums checked, hoping that putting them back on fresh would help, but it doesn't. Incidentally, if I sync 1 album only, they sync in the correct order with no duplicates.

I am using a PC with a Belkin Wireless Adapter. My internet will be working perfectly, then I plug my iPhone in to run updates and suddenly my internet connection is gone. It is like it completely disables my adapter. I have to unplug the phone, remove the adapter, then plug the adapter back in to get my internet connection back. I just want to update my phone!
