View 8 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my iPhone has the Phillips screws on the bottom, but the gallery on Apple.com's website shows Torx (star-shaped) screws. Anyone else notice that their screws are different?
View 8 Replies View Relatedi was looking at apples web site and i saw the picture of the iphone with the star screws then i check mine and they weren't like that and it looks like one of the screws was overturned and it feels rough on the edges does anyone else have this problem?

UPDATE:
So I just got my iPhone and it turns out that it does have the standard phillips head screws rather than a Torx derivative. I wonder why the production photos showed torx screws, maybe european iPhones have the Torx screws, either way I am much happier if I ever have to replace the battery myself.
Original Post:
Does anyone else have a feeling of hatred toward torx screws, I hate them, I feel like they are ugly, and they remind me of all the things I was never able to open, and all the screwdrivers/screws that I stripped. I always liked that the iPhone used phillips head screws even though I had no intention of opening one. Maybe this is just me though.
Replacing LCD and screws are in too tight. How to remove the screws. it has a blue substance on them to hold them tight.

iPod touch, iOS 4.3.3,
RIGHT NOW in 2010: yes 2gigs of usage for a phone (even the iPhone) is a lot and most people will not reach that even with intense usage. HOWEVER looking forward. What happens once 4g is developed, once we can make these FaceTime calls over the network, once we can most certainly use Skype with the front facing camera. What happens when data just becomes more available. I really see 2g being reached easily in the not so distant future.
My theory is AT&T has thought about this and has come up with a plan to make us think that by "downgrading" to a 2gig plan for $25/month we will save money. In the long run I fear that this may not be the case. I fear, so much so that I'm writing this post, that we may see a great spike in the amount of people using more than 2gigs of data per month. I fear that AT&T has thought about this and is planning ahead to reap the benefits. I am attempting to think outside the box and that tends to lead to crazy thoughts that may be completely unfounded, but I have had this discussion with a few people and they seem to agree I'm not crazy this time.
In light of this I am thinking that I will keep that extra infinite amount of data/month and continue to pay the 5 dollar premium, because once I opt out of this it's gone for good. We, the current iPhone users, have the opportunity to exploit AT&T's plan to limit our future data needs by spending more money now.

I can't even adjust my volume unless I have my headphones. I can't hear my incoming calls and they can't hear me. This happens every so often and its been happening for the past two days. Is there anyway of fixing it? My phone is no longer under Apple's warranty.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a new car, Peugeot 108 (latest model). I have an issue with bluetooth calling. Basically, any kind of call I make or receive (from phone, from head unit, from phonebook on head unit, typing the number in, etc) the head unit always shows "unknown caller" and neither the number or the name is displayed. Is there some kind of setting on my phone I should make to get the names to show up on the head unit? The names are displayed correctly using an iPhone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI switched from my s4 to the s6 and I am having bluetooth complications with my pioneer avh p4400 headunit. I did some google-ing around and found that a a few others are having the same problem but seeing as the phone came out a few days ago not everyone is inquiring about it. Bluetooth audio does not auto connect/play like it did on the s4 and there is no song info/description displayed which then renders the track skipping buttons useless on the headunit. I found an app to fix the auto connect issue at least.
I am using Google play music so this is kind of unusual. I am not sure if it is an s6 only issue having something to do with the new touchwiz or if android 5.0 is using different bluetooth protocols than prior. Everything is updated to the latest firmware. I was debating on upgrading to the 4100nex but if this issue is going to be present there also I would rather not have an extra expensive paperweight.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a GSII and recently bought a Lexar 32GB Micro SDHC class 10 to put my music on. I have a Sony bluetooth head unit in my car which acts as my hands free and the added bonus of connecting to my music on my phone thus having no need to change CD's or have your friend be a DJ next to you. This worked perfectly with my previous Sony Ericsson W995 phone however now I have the GSII these two things happen: -
1) I might be imagining it but I think I hear crackling in the music when playing over the bluetooth, might just be my speakers but can't remember conciously hearing and noting this to myself on my old phone and when my mate connects his 3GS iPhone to it there doesn't seem to be this problem?
2) There are definite, noteworthy interruptions in the playback over the sound system however the music hasn't been paused on the phone and so I miss bits of the songs! This is both unusual and annoying as you can imagine!
I'm loving my lumia 800, but this bluetooth problem is driving me crazy! The handset pairs fine with the head unit in my c class Merc, I can make and receive calls and text messages, but it continually disconnect the bluetooth as though the phone is powering bluetooth off and then powering it back up and reconnecting. This sometimes happens every 30-40 seconds other days it can be ever 3-5 minutes. The head unit works fine with my blackberry, htc desire and a mates iphone so I know that's not at fault. I've tried deleting the pairing and restoring my phone prior to the update but all to no avail.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm not trying to diss Apple even further as i am too a bit peeved that my iPhone suffers from the drop in 3G reception when holding the phone in the exact way i have holded every phone including my first Motorolla. You have to partially hold the bottom left even if it's just with your pinky finger under the bottom, to stop it slipping out of your hand. Why they just didnt include this areial at the top, who knows!?
Anyhow i noticed whilst doing speed tests and then looking for some wallpapers using safari (maybe 20mins continues use, max!) that the right hand side at the bottom, just bellow where the sim tray is seems to be getting very hot. Is this close to where the A4 chip is situated? I noticed to the touch with my finger it getting warm and also (how scientific this was) i rested the metal above my top lip to see how warm it was (as this area is more sensative) and clearly found that this small area was much hotter than everywhere else on the phone. Leaving it a further 5 mins on standby it seems to have decipited all the heat and is same temp all round again.
My only concern at this early stage is, what if i was using the internet for a longer period of time? Can anyone else confirm that this also does it on their iPhone 4's just to make sure it's not just mine. As i am wanting to fully test my iPhone before i go on holiday in a weeks time.
we can swipe from the top to get into the notification center, why don't we swipe from the bottom to get into the background?if you do that, you can also add a cabbage can in the background and users can drag the icons to the cabbage can to turn the application off.
