I did a search for My3g (from Modmyi) and it shows, I clicked install. After installation, i turned off the wifi and made a facetime call but it still says I need to be connected.Am I missing a setting, I was reading online and it says I have to pay for the app but I click install on the top left and it didnt ask me to purchase.

Last night around 10:00pm ET I was using my3G and facetime while i was out. This morning, Cydia had a couple updates, one of them being Mobile Substrate. After updating Cydia, I can no longer get Facetime to work. It attempts to connect, but then call failed.I tried on 3G and WiFi, with no luck. ANyone else having this issue? I tried rebooting, disable and re-enable facetime, and reset network settings. UPDATE: In the Phone settings, it now says "Facetime ON. Activation Unsuccessful. Turn on facetime and try again and it repeats with attempting to activate.

I have a 3GS on 3.0.1 that I just used Pwnage Tool to JB/upgrade to 4.0 and then unlock using ultrasn0w.. everything went perfectly..BUT... some Cydia apps don't seem to work - looked around and didn't see a thread, so I started one. Hope this information isn't redundant.
Statusnotifier: One of my favorite Cydia apps, doesn't work with IOS4. It keeps crashing the springboard and I had to uninstall it. Apparently there is a workaround but that has its own quirks, so I will wait to see if an update is forthcoming.
SBSettings: Works but has some quirks as clearly stated on the SBSettings page on Cydia. I didn't bother with loading it yet although it is by far the most useful Cydia app in my opinion.
Any others? It would be great to keep a running list of apps that don't work with IOS4, or that have been subsequently patched to get working again.
everytime i make a call the first time it doesnt ring or anything just started with that yesterday....then i hang up and dial again and it goes thru right away...wats up with that

Phone doesnt connect with Edge much anymore, and some times when E is present, still no cell data network connection. Signal strength is g2g.Also, phone will launch Cydia, but shortly after boots out of the program. I respring, restart, turn off, power and home key combo no luck.

Yesterday, I lost my phone at the mall. I used iCloud's "Find My iPhone" to locate it but in case I didn't get it back, I deleted all the data in it and called my carrier to deactivate my line. View 23 Replies View RelatedI had a Bluetooth earpiece (Plantronics 925) and was in a voice call with my wife on her iPhone 4. When I initiated FaceTime and it transitioned over, it dropped the Bluetooth audio and reverted to the onboard speaker and microphone. With FaceTime's simplified GUI, there's nothing to switch the audio back to the headset, and tapping my button on my earpiece did nothing.
FYI, I also tried this with wired headphones and the audio continued on the headphones properly (didn't go into speakerphone mode).Looks like Apple doesn't really like, care, or know Bluetooth much or enough to implement AVRCP for controlling playback, or using Bluetooth audio for non telephony purposes.
All of a sudden today I try to make a facetime call with my i4 and call failed right away.
I try turning on/off facetime in settings but all I get is "Activation unsuccessful. Turn on facetime to try again."
I dont know what the prob is, I didnt install or change anything since a few days ago that facetime calls worked.
Im JB on 4.0.1 and also got Facebreak installed.
I been fighting with it for 3 hours now. Removed facebreak, reset network settings over 50 times, restarted, toggled airplane mode, facetime on/off and still nothing.
Anyone got any suggestions or what is causing this to happen and how to activate facetime without a restore.
I already had to do a restore and setup as new 3 times since I got it and its starting to get old.
I just had my first 3G Face Time call tonight. The creator of My3G rocks, it works great.The quality of the call was amazing as I had very good signal strength. It actually froze only once on a 10 minute call while my wifi froze 3 times on a 10 min call.
