everytime i make a call the first time it doesnt ring or anything just started with that yesterday....then i hang up and dial again and it goes thru right away...wats up with that

Is there any way to set the ring profile to ring only once? Like it does for messaging or email received? In the phone ringtone it just keeps looping whereas I would like it to simply ring once- i get alerted and thats it!

But usually it says "Congestion" and I'm not able to make a call. I did that Alt+L,G,L,G thing to clear the log and that isn't helping. I can do everything else on my phone like text, use the internet, BBM, and I can even receive calls! I just can't call out

View 12 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry suddenly forbid me to make, receive calls and send, receive sms. I've tried several way to fix this includeing
-batt pull
-batt pull + remove sim card
-update FW .423>.442
-wiped and relode FW (.442)
-resend service book
-re-register host routing table
Then I look at manage connections>Services status and it says, Mobile Voice status: not available connection: not connected. put my sim card into another phone (nokia) it could make, reseive call and sms so it shouldn't be sim card problem. Other services are working fine, BBM, email and facebook.
I can't seem to make my phone ring more than once when receiving a call. Is that normal or is there a way to make it ring more than just once? I can't find anything in the setting to lengthen the amount of rings.

Then today I was on a call over Bluetooth in my car and it cut out (other person could hear me, I couldn't hear then them) but was not in a dead zone. I've done a sift reset and completely wiped the phone as well. No change.

View 3 Replies View Related it doesn't always ring when I get a call. Yes, Airplane mode is off, the ringer is on. Take yesterday for instance, over a period of 5 hours, four calls didn't ring, 3 went to VoiceMail, one showed as a missed call, three other calls came through normally. During this entire time the phone was sitting on my desk, fully charged.

After installation, i turned off the wifi and made a facetime call but it still says I need to be connected.Am I missing a setting, I was reading online and it says I have to pay for the app but I click install on the top left and it didnt ask me to purchase.

I am using the Normal profile, and the phone setting for Normal is set to Play sound = Always. I also checked the set ringtone alerts, and the Play sound = Always as well.I am running OS 5.0.0.545. is this a bug?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a refurbished Bold 9700 today. I have it set just as I did with my old one, but it WILL NOT vibrate and ring at the same time. If I have vibrate checked to on and vibration with ringtone checked to on, it vibrates twice and then rings. If I go into custom, it still vibrates BEFORE ringing. The phone is still on AT&T's official .405 OS right now, and I'm doing the update to .593 right now. Maybe that will help? I'm not sure.

The ring tone just will not work or at least when someone calls me its silent. I have gone through every profile and rebooted a thousand times, but it just wont work. Any ideas?
I just got a BB bold 9700. It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:

I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.
The about screen shows the following:

I just did a security wipe and have not added any apps or anything.
my 9700 keeps resetting the ring tone to factory settings !
View 2 Replies View RelatedNew 9700 4 days ago. Set ringer tone to Ringer_Classic Phone. When a call comes in my BB rings once and that's it. It does not go to voice mail for approx 30 seconds. I can't find out how to change this so that it will ring 5,?, 6? 7? times to give me the opportunity to hear it. Any ideas on the solution?

Set this mp3 file as the ring tone to all the profiles. I did not set any custom ringtone to any individual contact.But when i recieve a call, both my custom ring tone and the 'Ringer_ClassicPhone' are playing together.Also, a file 'Ringer_ClassicPhone.mp3' is being created automatically a'/Device memory/home/user/ringtones/Ringer_ClassicPhone.mp3'Everytime I recieve a call... i get two hear two sounds... it very annoying...

I have been letting it charge for the last 3hrs and now it's doing a thing where it won't even turn on. It displays a hour glass and then the screen goes black and the red light will blink every few seconds. I have tried updating my OS by my desk top can not even detect my phone. nothing is working and can't make a call or even wake up in the morning without my phone.

When trying to make an outgoing call, I get a long pause and then three tones like old pay phones and a message saying call failed. I am also unable to receive any calls also. My girlfriend has the same phone and the same issues.We called the service provider (Bell) who asked to try powering down and turn back on and it worked temporarily but the issue persists.I also tried reseting the phone to factory setting and still have the same issues.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I have been getting a problem with my 9700 Blackberry. When I make or receive calls, I can not hear anything out of my handset. The person on the other line can hear fine (Usually with me going Hello Hello a million times!) The only time I can hear anything is when I have my bluetooth on or switching it to speakerphone.
I tried doing the soft reset (battery pull when the phone was still on) ...still nothing. Although it did work a couple of times. Its on and off, but recently the situation has gone from bad to worse.Anyone out there with the 9700 with the same issue? It's really annoying and I do use the phone a lot for important calls.
Using 9700 on Vodafone UK - Software Version 5.0.0.423..This has happened a few times now. At first I thought it was just me not reading the screen properly. And it only happens now and again.
What happens is that sometimes when I get a call the screen shows the last callers details as if they were ringing again - but it is someone else.When I hang up the call or if I miss the call - the details then show the correct persons details - weird.
If I pull the battery out it all works fine then for a week or two and then starts happening again. It is not a big deal or anything - just a bit strange.
Was just wondering if its possible to mute the incoming call ring without rejecting the call? I have seen that feature in some htc phones and tried on my phone but it didnt work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe wierdest things had happen to my blackberry.Before I go on, it involved 2 simcard.
Simcard A : simcard with BBM and full data service is registered to (Indonesian network)
Simcard B : without BBM registration, etc. (Indonesian network)
This is how it started. I have brought my phone from Indonesia to China. As I tried to use my BBM, it wont work. I tried switching on WIFI but all I got is the dull grey wifi icon. I tried so many setting but it would not work. Remember, I am using simcard A.Now, I pull out simcard A and put simcard B on. I dont know what happen, I start receiving BBM messages. I was so afraid of getting charge for data roaming, I quickly switch connection prefference to 'wifi only' with my WIFI connection on. At the home screen, next to the small antenna icon, it says 'OFF' so i assumed mobile signal is OFF. To my supprise, my BBM is still receiving messages and I can reply them no problem. Again I assumed it was connected through WIFI. What is so weird is, while i was chatting away with WIFI ON (still dull grey icon) and mobile signal OFF, I suddenly receive a phone call.
Can anyone tell me what is going on with my Blackberry? Am I being charge for data roaming while I was chatting away or I was just receiving and sending data through WIFI? but why the calls came in with mobile signal OFF?
