I am furious at the fact I can't do something as simple as play music with the screen off without hearing static and constant clicking through my headphones. Only when the screen is off, too. I also went to the Verizon store and tried out a display Razr M and it had the same problem. This is very noticeable over headphones when listening in a quiet room. The behavior is independent of audio source, headphone type and speaker vs. headphone jack.

The bottom half of the display is less bright than the upper half.
It came into contact with water but not in a high amount, about five drops hit the iphone and I dried them imminently away.

Jan 15, 2015I'm trying to setup my Lollipop G3 to use a static ip address on my home network in order to more easily be able to run e.g. an ftp server on it.
My router is a Netgear CG3700. First, I tried its "address reservation" feature, where one can associate a MAC-adress(the phone's) to an ip address on the local network. It was easy to setup, but when the G3 is asking for an ip address, it still gets the first free one in the DHCP range rather than the one I just configured.
I also tried from the phone, by long-pressing the wifi connection and choosing "modify network".
In the window that appears, one can switch from DHCP to static and specify the desired ip address. However, as long as "ip settings" is set to Static, the Save-button is disabled. Someone suggested that entering the wifi password here might work, but Save is still disabled.

IPhone Battery Dies When More Than Half Full
Dec 10, 2014My battery used to fail on me at 15% and later on sometimes even at 30+% (After 8+ hours stand-by/usage). But since a few days (also after updating to iOS8) it just dies after 3 hours and sometimes it indicates it has about 70% left. The fact it only gets worse makes me think it's the battery. It's slowly dying.
But updating to iOS8 seems to have made it worse. So it could also be a software problem.Is it worth the try to change to a new battery first before restoring the iphone etc.?When I plug it in to charge it has the same % as when it died.
