I had my iPhone 4s for about 1week (1st ever Apple product) before upgrading to iOS5.1. I'm not sure if it was possible before the upgrade but is it possible now to zoom into a photo more than about half way?
I have also noticed the lag that is present after the upgrade, both with typing and zooming, and yes I have done a complete phone reset.

I can no longer zoom in or out when taking a photo - to do so you use the trackpad - mine used to work but now doesn't. My phone (BB Curve 9300) is only 4 months old, so it's either stopped working or I've done something without knowing!

The bottom half of the display is less bright than the upper half.
It came into contact with water but not in a high amount, about five drops hit the iphone and I dried them imminently away.
I still got the protection plan active, but it would be better if I could fix it right away. Â Â

It was just announced that the IPhone 4 will have zoom for the camera, but will this be real optical zoom, or will it simply be "digital" zoom? Digital zoom is so stupid - I can duplicate the effect of digital zoom by cropping the photo with photoshop afterward. Not only is digital zoom in effect the same a cropping a photo, but because the photo was cropped from the get-go, you have LOST information that you might have wanted. What if you "zoomed in" and took the picture, but mistakenly chopped off the top of your subject's head? That portion of the head was actually being perceived by the camera's sensor, so you could have had a complete photo, but it is now lost forever thanks to digital zoom.

It seems to have occurred recently and am wondering if it is related to the recent Nokia camera/beta camera updates. I'm running 8.1 DP but I don't believe I was having this issue before and I don't believe I have had any recent big falls or jolts to the phone that might cause mechanical problems and I believe the zoom works fine in still pictures.

It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. It's getting so frustrating cos I have to keep asking him to text me again and a lot of the time I just get another 'cracked' text!

I dropped my iPhone & half of my screen when black. The other half is not completely clear, but it's not awful. Everything is working perfectly fine other than the fact that the entire left side of my screen is black. Can I fix it myself or do I have to take it to my Verizon store to be fixed? Just "upgraded" my Palm Pre for a iPhone 4 and going crazy trying figure out how to move my pictures out of the photo roll and into different albums. From what I have tried it seems making different albums only tags the photo but doesn't actually move it. Any suggestions as to how I can have pictures in different albums without them staying in the photo roll also? Do I need to use an app to be able to do this?

Since installing the 5.1.1 update my battery life has been dramitically reduced. Chragring time has also increased which confirms the update is carring extra luggage. I had 5.1.0 running about a day and a half before needing a charge. Now its holding a full charge about 4-5 hours before it shuts down.

My battery used to fail on me at 15% and later on sometimes even at 30+% (After 8+ hours stand-by/usage). But since a few days (also after updating to iOS8) it just dies after 3 hours and sometimes it indicates it has about 70% left. The fact it only gets worse makes me think it's the battery. It's slowly dying.
But updating to iOS8 seems to have made it worse. So it could also be a software problem.Is it worth the try to change to a new battery first before restoring the iphone etc.?When I plug it in to charge it has the same % as when it died.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing the standard iPhone Mail program, most of my email messages are being rendered at half the width of the screen rather than filling the entire width. It does not appear to matter where the messages are coming from or what they contain. As you can see in the screenshot below, it looks like the mail program is getting confused about the width of the screen and wrapping text at what looks like exactly 50% width. The message header and title are OK.Â
