IPhone :: 3gS Suddenly Stopped Making Sounds For Emails, Texts, Alerts, Etc?
May 8, 2012My iphone 3GS has no sounds now except the phone ringer. I have toggled the mute switch back and forth and it makes no difference. When I go into settings for sounds I see at the top that it is marked silent. However I cannot find any way to switch that off and reset it back to sounds. The only thing that seems to work now is vibrate and the phone ring.

Jun 3, 2012not sure exactly when it happened but i noticed yesterday that my sound is no longer working on my iphone 4s. i've checked that all sound settings are on, including the mute switch on the side of the phone. i can hear alarms and phone calls but the phone doesn't make the keypad noises, or the random other noises in normal us. i hear no noise when trying to listen to music or watch Internet videos. no volume bar comes up when i click the +/- buttons. all i get is an icon that says "ringer". i found that music plays just fine when i plug in a headphones, and i can even change the volume with the +/- button when the headphones are plugged in.

Dec 27, 2010I have a xperia x10 mini which was all working fine until i tried to download an application/game. It didnt download so i cancelled the download then noticed that the phone wouldnt make or receive calls or texts. If i try to make a call, it comes up "call ended" almost immediately.

Dec 19, 2010I recently bought my blackberry the other day and it's been working great. However today I notices the back cover keeps making weird clicking noises whenever pressure is applied. Everytime I go to pick it up in my hand to text, the cover makes this noise. It appears to be due to a pocket of air between the cover and the battery but the noise is getting really annoying.

Jun 13, 2011Since I have updated to Gingerbread my phone is making faint clicking noises when moving the phone or interacting with the touch screen. It is intermittent and can occur when the display has timed out. Is anyone else experiencing this? Since the update I have performed a factory reset in an attempt to address this and other issues and the sounds have persisted. This has become an annoyance to me, are there any settings I should be checking to address this?

Woke up yesterday and noticed it was no longer downloading new email and would just time out trying to connect. Tried removing and reinstalling the account - no luck, can't connect with the usual settings. Also tried creating the account with the default Android email and MailDroid and they also won't work. My provider swears that everything is working on their end and that I'm using the right settings.

Jun 2, 2014Suddenly, I am not receiving group texts on my iPhone5. It appears than I can send them, but I don't receive them. I haven't had this problem in the past. The group text that I am not receiving is between 2 people that I have sent and received group texts from before. T-Mobile suggested turning the settings on and off again, they wanted me to delete all my old text threads, which I don't want to do. I'd rather save that as a last resort.

Samsung Galaxy S II :: Not Making Calls, Texts Or Accessing Data Network
Aug 14, 2011So basically I went away for 4 weeks, came back, switched on my phone and now BOOM it won't call anyone, it won't use 3G or anything or even make texts.
Here's some useful information:
- I'm picking up signal, and can receive texts etc.
- when I try and call someone, it says 'you cannot make outgoing calls while call barring is on' (even though I've checked in settings and it isn't).
- I'm on o2 in the UK
- I've checked my status, and it says 'Mobile Network State' is 'Disconnected'.
- It's running 2.3.3
- I've got the Network Mode on Auto (as it always was when the phone actually worked), and also I haven't been playing around with the APNs or anything like that.
- I bought the phone legit from Carphone warehouse a few months ago, and it worked mostly fine up until I switched it back on yesterday. I'd had a few problems with non-wifi internet before I left last month, but nothing affecting making calls etc.

Jul 12, 2011ive had my blackberry 8520 a while now when i 1st got it all the setting blackberry and phone where working then after a few days stoped making and recieving call and same with text every thing else works such as email,instant messaging,internet i am on pay as you go so when my booster ran out i topped up again while the booster takes a couple of hours to come back on the phone service worked again and i could call out and recieve calls the same with text when the booter came back on the phone service not long work and ive been stuck tryin to get help the phone shops dntno they say contact blackberry.

Tried SIM card in another phone in the same spot and it works. The pearl does get full signal and EDGE. Could this be a hardware problem? The antenna, maybe?
