It is updated to 5.1. It keeps going to the lock screen. I can be in the middle of a text, app, anything.. The shut off screen keeps popping up as well. IDK what to do.
my iphone keep randomly goes to the lock screen or to the screen where you slide to shut off the phone. its been doing this for about a week...i haven't even had the phone for 2 months.
I have sent iPhone 4S via normal Post and it disappeared on its way. Before sending, I cleared every thing including Apple ID. Now i have sent lock request via iCloud but its pending. Will this phone be locked when it connects to internet?
my iphone 3gs botts up fine, and everything works, but as soon as i lock it and then try to unlcok it, the screen turns white. tbhis has happened after i have replaced the digitizer and LCD?
I have an iPhone 4 black 32 GB with ios 4.3.3 Model#MC605ZP with 4.10.01 firmware factory unlocked. Is it safe to upgrade to ios 5 via iTunes without locking my phone?
My iphone 5 keeps randomly locking, and even prompts to turn itself off. When hovering my finger over the lock screen button, it does the exactly the same thing.. without even touching it. However, the button works! It clicks when pressed so its not an issue with the actual button.
We have two iPhone 3GSs in the household, my dads and my moms.I installed iOS4 on both. And both seem to freeze, lock up, drop calls, have occasional weird glitches far more frequently than they did on 3.1.2 (3.1.3 caused issues as well but not as frequently as on iOS4) Sometimes, the lock screen doesn't unlock and the my slide to unlock it isn't recognized (fixed by hard rebooting the phone).
One time the phone froze completely on the Contacts menu.I'm wondering if the proximity sensor might be glitching and causing some of these dropped calls as well.iOS4 is awesome, don't get me wrong. But my parent's getting glitches is annoying as hell. They were hesistant about going with a smartphone instead of a simple flip phone already, and this isn't helping. Is anyone else having these issues or similar ones?Did Apple screw the pooch when it comes to bug testing the new OS?I wish Apple would just let us go back to 3.1.2 on our iPhones. That worked flawlessly where as the subsequent versions all have serious issues.
My iPhone 5S, less than a year old, began locking up last night. I cannot do an update, access iCloud, photos, app store updates, and sometimes even the phone. Once I click on it it doesn't let me go any further. It will let me hit the home button and back out to the home screen, but nothing else.
Auto lock your BlackBerry for convenience and battery life..Ok, how do you unlock these locking apps(BB 8530)? Stupid question, I know, but before I try it I don't want to find out the hard way?
I've just recently starting having this issue with my SMS where a particular thread of SMS's gets "locked" up. That is, I'll get a message, but I can't open it. Doesn't matter if I try opening it using the enter key, the trackball, or by using menu then open. The only way I open them is by having to do a battery pull. Has anyone else had this issue?
I recently installed Blackberry Protect on my Curve. Prior to install, my phone never locked and required a password at backlight timeout. Now the phone locks and requires me to input a password to use the phone. I would like to remove this locking requirement without removing Blackberry protect.
is there a way to lock the language on the tourch or to delete all the ones i don't need? sometimes the language is changed from touching the touch screen in my pocket or purse and i need to switch it back to english i cannot find a lock on language anywhere but really don't need any other ones on my phone so i could delete them if need be if there a function for this?
My phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericcson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same.I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?
I have a question for you BB experts (I have never had one)Is it possible to lock your email accounts - in the sense that you could let a child use the phone without them having access to all your emails.Maybe by not saving the password?Or do BB have profiles?
I purchased the Nokia X2 and I am facing the following problem. When the phone is not locked, I push very often by mistake the Capture key or the Music keys, which are placed on the side of the phone. Is there any possibility or utility how to lock these keys even if the rest of the keyboard is unlocked?
My Blackberry torch keeps locking up on me! I could start to write on the keyboard and then the screen will go black and lock up!It started their yesterday....since it has started i have left the battery out for awhile, updated the software using the laptop but still no luck!
Every time I flip open my phone, it takes anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to respond. The clock will still be showing the time from when I last used it. Took the phone to Sprint and they fixed it for a couple weeks, but they said if it starts happening again I would have to deal with Blackberry.
I am currently experiencing an intermittent fault with my wife's N97 mini phones, where, unexplainable, it "locks up" and prevents any functions other than the Home screen. It eventually indicates that it has run out of memory and to close applications. There are no applications running and the only way to clear this fault is to remove the battery temporarily, and then replace it and turn the phone back on. All is good until the next "lock-up", usually within 1 - 2 weeks. We were advised to update the software, but this has not made any difference. My own N97 mini has not had this fault occur to date.
There seems to be a bug with remote locking on the E5 (where you send a text message with a pre-defined keyword to lock the phone if lost/stolen, etc) - it works, but then keeps requesting the lock code when switched on, even after it has been entered correctly. Disabling remote locking stops lock code request at startup but then you can't lock it remotely! Re-enabling remote locking makes the problem continue, even if lock code is changed in the mean time.Nokia customer services were useless and didn't understand what I was talking about.
My Curve 8900 has started to lock on it's own. Sometimes it happens when I'm typing an email or text, sometimes it happens when I'm waiting for a browser page to upload. Initially I thought it might be a particular keystroke I was hitting but it has happened when I'm simply holding the device and not typing at all. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix it?
I have just upgraded my 9700 to .593 and everything works fine except for locking the phone keyboard.
Previously when I click on the top button of the mobile my phone goes into "Password mode" locking which means you can't unlock the device unless you enter the password. But after the update, clicking the button will only lock the keyboard and anyone can unlock it by clicking the same button.
I have had my BB 8330 for almost a year now, and just recently, it's starting locking up OFTEN. Almost daily. It will lock up if I take a picture sometimes - it takes so long to save it, I have to do a battery pull. It also locks up when I go to my Facebook Application sometimes, and also if I try to SEND a photo to an MMS address, it will lock up then too. I did notice an "uncaught exception - memory full" error message just today - probably because I let the "locking up" run quite a time and didn't pull the battery yet. If this is the problem, what is my fix? Too many pics on the memory card? Too many apps installed? Too many emails in my inbox? I'm completely clueless.
I am frustrated popping my hard case off daily - which is wearing out the "tightness" of my case, and it's pretty hard to get off!
