I bought a new Iphone 4s, Since the minute I activated it, it randomally turns itself on and off, locking the screen etc.
Sometimes it stopps for several hours, and then starts to lock again every five seconds. If i turn it off, it turns back on by itself.
I'm pretty sure the problem is with the "lock button", it sends signals even when i dont touch it at all.

Whenever I lock the screen, and then get a text message, the screen will stay lit for a really long time. Like longer than it used to. I usually have to end up pressing the lock button to make it go off, but not until it I realize that it's been lit for a long time.

This started occurring after I left my phone to charge overnight and it hasn't stopped since. I've tried running it in safe mode, but the problem still occurs. I have also tried factory resetting, clearing cache, and a simple restart.

This doesnt happen every time i use the home button but it is happening more and more frequently. It started happening about a month before the iphone warranty ran out and i didnt think much of it. However now the iphone has been out of warranty for a month it seems to be happening more and more frequently.

Last week I suddenly noticed that my phone's power button wasn't making a clicking noise anymore when pressed. Now it's more like pressing a rubber button or something. When I did this the screen would dim, but now when I press the shortcut key the screen goes black. Then if I press the shortcut key again it unlocks it straight away even though I have the password option on. Before, regardless of which ever key I pressed it would always ask for a password. Now, the only time it asks for the password is when I take it out of the holster. This is really annoying me.Is this something that i can change or do i have to do a restore??

Since upgrading to 5.1.1, the lock screen rarely appears anymore and, when I am away from home, since the lock screen rarely appears anymore, my phone is often unlocked and unlocked without a lock screen and having my phone unlocked is a big security issue . I don't know if this is related to 5.1.1 or, perhaps, a recent Google Play Services update (since Google Play Services is responsible for so many things nowadays, I assume its suspect).
