Google Nexus 6 :: Popping Sound When Locking And Unlocking Device
Dec 1, 2015I just started noticing that when I hit the power button on my N6 and it shuts off I hear a popping sound. I also hear it not when I swipe up and put in the pattern lock I have, but when the phone unlocks after that when the homescreen comes up. Is this Normal? I swear I didn't hear it before.

Apr 11, 2011Each time I press the lock button or I hold the A key, the display automatically turns off and the phone is locked. I cannot check the time on the phone or see if I have any new messages without unlocking it, checking, then relocking it again.
This may seem really miniscule but on my old hanset when the phone was locked if you pressed and of the buttons on the keypad the screen would light up, not unlock, and i could check the time or whatever.

When writing your question Good description of what is really wrong and how to reproduce if possible. Details of what you did before:
I didn't do anything to it but before the speaker would fuzz in and out of call and then it started doing that permanently. Afterwards my phone just started to lock and unlock several times before it ultimately locked me out even after I tried to press the unlock button. I tried pulling out the battery several times and it alleviates the symptoms for about 3 minutes and it goes right back to locking and unlocking again.

Dec 21, 2010Every time i end a call, i can see the phone is allways doing something else, like browsing the web, or opening the gps aplication. Last but not list, for several times and unexpectedly i hold the call, or i end it by mistake.
I'm sure this happens because i keep telling it to do it (with my face touching the screen, during the calls!!!)
The phone have those 3 physical buttons on the bottom, (the red one, the green one and the menu one) and lets face it, those are the same 3 buttons existing in all nokia non-touchscreen phones).
So, two questions:
a) With those 3 buttons, why do i need the touch screen during a call??
b) Is there any option or aplication or trick to automatically lock the screen on the moment i start a call (incoming or outgoing) and unlock it when i end the call?
BB Curve :: 9320 Faulty - Keeps Locking / Unlocking Itself
Dec 29, 2011I recently upgraded to a new BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone in about September 2012. Recently it is acting all faulty. It keeps locking and unlocking itself. The trackpad gets stuck and will not scroll but then will scroll in some apps or menus. Is it a software or hardware fault? What can I do to sort it out?

Dec 29, 2015My LG G3 (LS990 model, if that matters) decided it was going to just turn off its screen for a half hour or so. I thought the battery had died or become disconnected, so I pulled the battery, put it back in, and plugged it in to charge. I came back to my phone's screen going haywire. It's locking and unlocking itself repeatedly inside the time of a single second. The sensor that I've noticed sometimes gets blocked and turns the screen off is clear, the battery is fully charged, and the screen is unresponsive. Is there anything I can do, or am I out the cost of the phone?

Apr 15, 2012confirm if my phone would 'brick' or not if I used official Sony software to repair...I used the online service Da Vinci to unlock my bootloader...so if I use SEUS or PC Companion now...will it brick? How do I relock bootloader safely if I need to repair via SEUS? Would it be better for me to relock the bootloader then unlock properly via Sony? I did pay for the Da Vinci service, so I'm not in a rush to make a mistake! I'm planning ahead for the ICS update and just in case I want to reverse to 2.3.

Sep 5, 2014My iphone 5 keeps randomly locking, and even prompts to turn itself off. When hovering my finger over the lock screen button, it does the exactly the same thing.. without even touching it. However, the button works! It clicks when pressed so its not an issue with the actual button.

I am wanting to leave ATT for their poor service, and go with a compnay that has no contracts. Jul 6, 2010We have two iPhone 3GSs in the household, my dads and my moms.I installed iOS4 on both. And both seem to freeze, lock up, drop calls, have occasional weird glitches far more frequently than they did on 3.1.2 (3.1.3 caused issues as well but not as frequently as on iOS4) Sometimes, the lock screen doesn't unlock and the my slide to unlock it isn't recognized (fixed by hard rebooting the phone).
One time the phone froze completely on the Contacts menu.I'm wondering if the proximity sensor might be glitching and causing some of these dropped calls as well.iOS4 is awesome, don't get me wrong. But my parent's getting glitches is annoying as hell. They were hesistant about going with a smartphone instead of a simple flip phone already, and this isn't helping. Is anyone else having these issues or similar ones?Did Apple screw the pooch when it comes to bug testing the new OS?I wish Apple would just let us go back to 3.1.2 on our iPhones. That worked flawlessly where as the subsequent versions all have serious issues.

Mar 6, 2010There are just so many different scenerios and different options, and i'm somewhat novice, and i don't want to screw anything up, and to top it all off, i'm on a serious time crunch. so, down to business....i've got a 3g, with 3.1.2 and at&t 5.6 and modem firm is 05.11.07 it is jb.
Here is the problem: it's getting really pokey with all the stuff i have loaded on it, and i want to start from scratch. restore. but i'm scared to restore, because i don't want to upgrade to 3.1.3 because final outcome, i need to unlock as well.
What i want to do: restore to completely clean, then re-jailbreak, and unlock.

Mar 18, 2012I have an iPhone 16GB 3Gs that I bought off a USA-eBayer a while ago (though I live in the UK). I'm with Virgin Mobile that 'does not' support the iphone, though when I rung up before the purchase of the phone, the team said though they don't stricktly support the Apple device, but iPhones generally work on their network.
I bought in confidence and my iphone worked floorlessly for about 12 months on the iOS 4.1 system, becuase I didnt want the hastle of unlocking my phone back for the Virgin Mobile website each time I updated through iTunes, i didn't bother. Evenetually I updated to iOS 5.0 (off the internet rather than iTunes) and since then my phone has really struggled to keep a strong signal, or indeed WiFi connection. It can have full signal but then it says 'Searching...' for a couple of seconds then will find all the signal again. This as you can imagine gets pretty infuriating when its happening 4 times a minute, and only when I want to actually use the phone.
Also the phone likes to turn off at any point, even if it says it has about 70% battery and was on charge all night, then it demands to be on charge before it turns back on again, sometimes stating that it has the '70% charge' it told you before, or a dramatically reduced charge depending on its mood.If I wasn't worried about it getting locked to the original carrier, I'd just plug it up to my iTunes and update it, but as it stands, I cant do that!

Apr 1, 2012A friend of mine has an older iPhone (I'm guessing it's an 'original' iPhone,running iOS 3.1.3, using his ex's PUK card, but I could be wrong about that).He's using his ex's card because he inadvertently locked his original card sometime ago and forgot his password. Is there a way he can get it unlocked, possibly using a 'generic' "universal" password so he doesn't have to use his ex's 3G card (supposedly, his old PUK was a 4G)? He's used quite a few of the attempts he has to unlock it so far and only has perhaps 2-3 more tries before the car locks permanently.
