I use notes quite frequently to write down ideas. Everytime I start the app and add to a note, another copy of the note is saved. It's getting so I have 10 and 12 copies of some notes.
I do not have sync notes on iTunes checked and I don't think it's happening becasue of my iCloud backup becasue I have notes switched OFF.
I use iCloud for my calendars on my iPhone 4S.However, there are 28 Birthdays calendars listed under "other" on the phone that I cannot figure out how to delete.I have already tried turning off iCloud syncing and deleting the calendars
information.This has no effect.I have seen similar problems addressed here, but not exactly this one. Please help, it is an exceptionally annoying situation.

I've noticed that everytime you install Zumocast and setup your server, it gets added to the left Pane of your Zumocast Server.I now have 4 copies of my server as I have re-installed Zumocast serval times. Is there a way to clear out the old in-active servers?

I just received 10..10 copies of the same SMS. This is not a one off occurrence either. Almost daily I receive multiple copies of the same message. I know I'm on a Droid 2 and am due for a much needed upgrade but am trying to hold out for a Droid 5 (if there is even to be one). In other words I'll probably wait until the beginning of 2013 before I pull the trigger on a new phone. Is it safe to say there are no more software updates coming? I know it won't be ICS or anything but any bug fixes? The last time I reset my phone was approximately 60 hours ago, it just froze so had to hard reset.

For instance, I will get as many as five or six copies of the exact same message within a few minutes of each other. The people who are texting me are only sending the message once, so I assumed the problem was on my end. I reset the phone about three times per week, but the problem does not improve or get worse. I have even pulled the battery after it happens, but it continues after it reboots.

Peculiarly it seems to send at least 10 copies of every image.I'm watching it do it right now - uploading goes up to 100%, shows just one picture uploading. Then resets to 0% and starts it all over again.Status shows 1 pending, 0 failed permanently (unless I delete the upload).

I end up sending anywhere between 3 and 15 emails. and also get a "message not sent" display at the notifcation bar. My other incoming emails (except gmail) I get between 10 and 20 copies of emails coming in. I have tried restarting, reinitializing the email clients. etc with no avail.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there is a way on the 9630 to make one phone number of multiple numbers under one contact be the priority?A lot of times I type in the first couple of letters to get the contact and hit send to call them and then I get asked always what number to call on that contact. Starting to get a little old.I would like to make the personal mobile number the priority instead of being asked all the time or at least put in on the top of the list.I also notice on the 8530 for text messaging they have different colored backgrounds for the incoming and outgoing texts. Is there a option on our phones so they can do that too?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWeird problem here, my Notes application cannot find the notes I've written, it's like they were auto-deleted. The first time it happened I thought maybe I exited without pressing done, thinking maybe that saves it. But it's happened to me several times. I write a note, press done, exit out of the program. Open up the program and the note is still there, but after a day or 2 it's just completely gone. I'm not even syncing it or anything. This is on a ip4 with 4.02 and no JB.

I bought a new laptop and synced my phone to it. I carried over the old music to my laptop and now there's two copies of some songs ONLY on my iPhone. I tried manually deleting them but when I sync my phone they come back. I tried unchecking the albums to prevent them syncing and resetting it and that only removes some of the doubles. Just to clarify, they do NOT show up in iTunes as doubles, only on my phone.

I had to restore my iPhone, but the day before I made a backup.When its finished with the restoring process I get this screen on the iPhone:Â
1. Start as a New device
2. Restore backup from iCloud
3. Restore backup from iTunes. Â
I'v tried both restoring the backup again and starting as a new device. If I do that I'll get all my old apps but none of the information that was in my backup, photoes, contacts, notes etc.Â
I've located the backup folder, and I can see that the photoes etc are there, the folder is at 7Gb. Strangely enough each time I try to restore my backup it just creates a copy of the original backup folder.Â

I attempted to sync my music to my iPhone 4S (iOS version 7.1.1) a while back and iTunes on my computer froze mid-sync, forcing me to quit. When I unplugged my phone and checked my music, several albums had two copies of the same song or entire albums were split apart. One in particular was split into 4 different albums, with only one containing the entirety of the song list.

I have contact list with records for a lot of people (300+), each with several phone numbers each, home, mobile & work, etc, .I can't seem to find a way to have the iPhone announce the name & number or name & type (home,mobile,work) of the caller from the contact list, my old cell phone could do that easily.
At the moment what I've been doing as a work around for a few (important) people is to create a custom ringtone for that caller & that phone number. Since it also seems there's no way to attach a different ringtones to each number in a single contact record I've had to create multiple contact records for each person, each with a different name/number combination such as "John Doe Work", "John Doe Home" or John Doe Mobile" then assign to it the custom ringtone I created for that name/number.
I need to this so that if I receive a call while I'm driving (or whatever) that I can't answer right then for some reason (often happens), the ringtone I created for that name & number helpfully lets me know who & where their calling from. It's very important to know where someone is calling from, if someone's calling from home then I know I've got some time, but if their calling from work then I need to get back to them quickly.
having to make multiple contacts & ringtones for a every person with multiple numbers is a extraordinary waste of time. My old cell phone could do this with no problem but there doesn't seem to be any way to do this with my new iphone.

I'm migrating from an iPhone 4 (iOS 6) to the Icon and tried without much success to transfer text messages to my new phone. I was able to transfer contacts successfully... and the Text Message option does appear when I pair my iPhone, but is says "0 Found," quite the contrary from what is actually on the phone. Since it seems like the transfer app wants to work, any trick to make it happen.

I am switching from the Torch, and with the setup I had there, an email sent would show up in my blackberry messages folder as a sent message (regardless of whether I sent it from the blackberry or from gmail on the web).

how I can stop this from happening? It's a pain to read or reply to 5 emails and then have the same 5 emails sent to my handheld. If I read them on my 9900, delete or reply to them, no duplicate is sent again.

However, as time passes, my contacts keep growing with hundreds of copies with each entry. I mean when I select a contact an choose "Edit Contact" list shows me hundreds of same entries, as a result phone becomes unresponsive while trying to open "Edit Contact" activity. At the same time this causes general unresponsiveness on the phone because I think it fills memory and tries to garbage collect for a long time (I inferred these by looking "adb shell logcat" and "adb shell dumpsys meminfo". When I run "adb shell dumpsys meminfo" command while trying to open "edit contact, it became hung in that process)Can Turkish characters in my contacts cause this problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn september I bought an 8330 curve. It worked great, and other than a few small things (not comfirming bbm contacts) it worked awesome, solid, never unstable. The screen started to have bubbles on the inside of it, so I took it in on warranty, and was given a new one AFTER I was sent home to make a backup. I get the new phone, came directly home and reloaded the backup. The next day, it started randomly rebooting. Even if it was just sitting there.
Sunday it shut off and when it tried to restart it just went to JVM error 102. If you reset it or did a hard reset it would always go to JVM error 102 when it tried to boot. I was out of town, and use my phone for work, so I was tickled pink, since its supposedly brand new.
Monday night they give me a new one AGAIN because nobody at the store can seem to fix it or figure it out. I go home, reload my data, wich is now a week old, and within a few hours it randomly starts rebooting agian. Then it wouldnt start, just flash the red LED, wich it did regardless of how many times I tried a hard restart. Eventualy this morning after 8 hours of flashing the red LED, I did a hard restart and it work.
I don't download apps. I use the phone, text, email, and I email pictures to my boss. Its the main reason i have a BB, so I dont get killed on MMS message charges, I just have unlimited email and I send the pics on email. The odd time I browse. And I don't do any of the things ppl talk about on crackberry where they are farting around doing things they arent supposed to and thier phone crashes. Any idea why my "new" curves keep doing this? 3rd one in 5 months, and 2 of them in the last week.
Apps? The ones that come on the phone from the factory. I live in terror that any thing else will brick my curve. I even talk nice to it.
My 822 is duplicating music, videos & pictures. I have 10-12 copies of some songs & pictures. It stops duplicating videos at 3 copies. It does not do it with all music, photo's or videos, so I do not think it is a card issue. I have a new Sandisk 64gb class 10 card that I formatted with this phone. Photo's music & videos were loaded to card through the phone by hooking up cable to windows 7 computer drag & drop/cut & paste. I can delete extra pictures, but I cannot delete extra videos or music. If you delete one of the copies, none of them will play. When you delete photos, there will be new copies by the next day. Have had this phone since the release at Verizon... Like the phone, but the video playback is very choppy & these duplicating issues are insane.
