A few days ago I updated my iPhone 3GS (Chinese mainboard) from iOS 5.0.1 to 5.1. But since then my messages app won't launch, no matter wether I access it from homescreen, multitasking or notification center. It only works sometimes when I go to contacts and send message. But even then it is slow and feels veeeery buggy. I tried to completely reset it, but nothing helped me.

I just got off the phone with iPhone sales at Apple. I was told in no uncertain terms that a reservation just means that they have all your information and know what you want to buy when you show up at the store on launch day. It does NOT mean you're guaranteed a phone or that they're holding one for you. He recommended I get there super early and wait in line like everyone else.Apparently, the only people that are guaranteed a phone are those that managed to get a full paid pre-order through on the 15th.

Phone doesnt connect with Edge much anymore, and some times when E is present, still no cell data network connection. Signal strength is g2g.Also, phone will launch Cydia, but shortly after boots out of the program. I respring, restart, turn off, power and home key combo no luck.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought the Atrix 2 today.Initial thoughts, the screen looks really nice, the soft rubber back feels better then the Atrix 1. I got the same internet speeds as the Atrix 1. Camera button convenient though pressing it doesnt launch camera app. On the Atrix 2 internal memory isnt accessible, even hooking up to pc you cant browse it, so you need a SD card to put music and videos, etc on it.HDMI mirroring worked as expected. I think the MHL mirroring from the SGS2 was better quality though.

Regardless of whether you launch Ovi from the quick launch type thing on the homescreen or on the menu, it doesn't work.
If you attempt to click on the icon on the homescreen, nothing happens.
If you click on it on the menu screen, the clock in the top right corner flickers and nothing happens.
I can't bear another hard reset, but i guess if i have to i will, any ideas?
I really love the Motion Launch gestures except the volume button that wakes the phone and launches the camera app.
Launching the camera app by mistake is annoying and it happens from time to time.
I tried Settings > Display & gestures > Motion Launch gestures but it looks like I'll have to disabled the whole thing.
I have an iPhone 3G S, and it doesn't seem to let me send MMS messages. (These are pulled from the internet)

I have one problem with my AT&T iPhone 4. I send texts to people and they don't receive it. It sends but the person doesn't receive it. This is multiple people on different networks. Sometimes I don't even receive their texts. I did a little research and I learned that it isn't an issue from Apple but rather AT&T. And this has been going on for a few weeks. Should I contact AT&T about this?

This morning my mother in law was texting my wife and I (group message), but I never received anything. When I looked on my wife's iPhone I saw my number was there correctly. My mother in law can only send me messages if she sends them to my Apple ID.Â
I checked my message settings > send receive and both my number and Apple ID are checked. i Don't have any trouble sending or receiving messages from non iphones.
I'm trying to delete a large message thread on my iPhone 5s. It's been there for a few years without being cleaned. Every time I try to delete it, my phone gets really hot and my messages app doesn't work. When I restart my phone, the message thread I tried to delete is still there and the messages app works again.

View 10 Replies View RelatedDue to some AT&T glitch I was one of the few that couldn't pre-order until about 5 hours ago. Now the iPhone is only shipping by July 14th. If I go ahead and order one on Apple's website for my line will I still be able to wait in line on launch day and buy a phone for that same line (with my upgrade) or will I then be forced to pay the $599/$699 price point (due to me having already ordered one on Apple's site)?
Right now I'm eligible for the $199/$299 price point.

Apple and ATT have really messed up this release with the iPhone 4. First no statement about the iPhone 4 and now there canceling peoples contracts giving stupid excuses. How didnt the have time to ramp up the production. If im right wasnt gizmodos prototype which was basically a finished product come out about 3 months ago? Why not have enough for launch day? Wow apple can atleast explain about the white iPhone.

Done a full restore with no joy(and another problem, iTunes wiped my iPhone 4 back up when I just choose to call my restore iPhone 'iPhone' to test it out - is my back up lost forever?
