I recently purchasd a used Macbook pro and tried to sync my iphone. It does not show up in itunes. How do I get it to show up in itunes so I can sync it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a new macbook pro and I have mostly made it similar to my old mac (I did it manually cause I didn't want to copy every little thing from the old mac so I didn't use migration assistance except for the applications).Anyways, I even took my old itunes folder from my old computer and replaced it over the current itunes folder. So that made itunes show up exactly like it did on my old computer (kept my playlists that told me when I added a song).
Problem:
I just connected my iphone right now just to see what would happen (like would it wipe it clean, look at it as a guest iphone, be able to recognize it).Except, the iphone doesn't recognize it is plugged into a computer (it starts charging but doesn't say syncing or anything) and itunes acts like nothing got plugged in at all. They totally are not making any recognition that they are connected (The iphone is treating the laptop like a plug in the wall charger basically).
How do I get itunes to recognize there is an iphone connected to it?
I just want to add if it helps, I just tried my ipod (though I haven't synced the ipod in a while) and it recognizes it (and it does not recognize it as a new ipod but as what I named it and everything). And my old computer recognizes my iphone fine.
I can't get my can't get my iphone to sync with itunes on my macbook. The Macbook Pro can't see the phone at all. The message on the phone is: Sync will resume when UKD60787-030 is available.

I have purchased music mostly from iTunes from my MacBook, a few times from my iPhone directly. When I like to share it in between, some music songs can not get from the Mac to the iPhone, even if I have approved the two to share music in between? I understand that you can share between up to 5 hardware devices owned by yourself.

i am trying to sync my iphone 4s to my itunes (essentially new phone, new computer, old library) (my phone was synced to my old computer before this), but it won't work because it says it is too full. The bar along the bottom of itunes and the 'properties' section on my computer each say i have at least 14GB left on a 32GB phone, and my itunes library is about 16GB, therefore i should have enough room to sync to the library on this computer. i have even tried just adding a few artists but still it says it is too full with roughly the same amount of mb apparently required. i have allowed access to sync to this computer etc, i have removed all duplicates of songs (a leftover effect from syncing it to my old computer first i think), and the 'other' section is displaying as only small so shouldn't be clogging it up. So i'm at a bit of a loss on how to get my phone synced (and put my new albumns on there). Also, on what i think is a slightly seperate issue - when i originally synced to my old computer's itunes library it would show all my songs on my iphone, but over about 1/3 of them were greyed out and unplayable on my phone but not my computer?

I'm having major problems with knowing if my iPhone 4 is full memory-wise or not. iTunes says I am over capacity by NINETY.SEVEN GB when I go to the Summary tab of the Device in iTunes. When I go to my iPhone's Settings under Usage, it says I only have 236 MB available on the phone, with Music taking up 12 GB. ? And then I go to Music and it says I have 1,581 songs. 13.76 GB (the capacity for this phone, subtracting data and hardware allowances, according to iTunes) is around 3,000 songs. I am incredibly confused and need to know what to do. What should I restart/restore, etc.

I have a BB Curve 8900 & am having difficulty transferring my full iTunes library to my BB device. For some reason it only tranfers around 50 of my total 300. It now seems to accept all the latest purchases from iTunes but not the older/historic ones.I have tried this using the Blackberry Desk Top Manager synching. Can anyone help here to enable me to transfer my full library across.
