IPhone :: Locating The Wifi Address If Lost Or Stolen?
May 29, 2012
how or where to obtain the Wifi address from a iPhone/iPod/iPad if it's lost or stolen? I know about logging into the wireless router at home, but does Apple keep record of it?
I lost my BB Torch today and I really want to know if there could be any way to locate the phone using its unique pin number. I have barred the line but I feel that there could be some way to find out where it is. I can't use the BB Protect either as I was not aware of it and when I log into the site now, none of the buttons can be used.
My iPhone is stolen. How can I get my address book back from the iCloud? I should have synchronized my iPad address book. However, I loss some recent contacts from iPhone.
Despite turning my phone on and off I can not connect to home wi-fi. It keeps buffering and does not locate any networks. This is a phone I bought today from Apple store. wi-fi worked initially but went out, came home and does not connect. IPad connected to wi-fi and husbands iPhone connected.
can you activate a lost or stolen phone.I found a iphone in a wallmart parking lot and its for sprint i would love to activate it.i have already restored it to factory settings i just want to know how to activate it with my phone #.
iPhone gets stolen, thief takes out SIM card to prevent remote wipe (not sure that would even help), thief jailbreaks iPhone and accesses entire file system via SSH.I thought this was ironic, but would it help if people jailbreak their iPhones and change the root password to prevent a hacker from doing this first? My company is thinking of deploying iPhones and from all the articles I've read, the iPhone's security can be bypassed in comparison to the Blackberry just by having a paper clip. Not sure if anyone has ever given it too much thought but maybe we can start a discussion on how to protect the data on your iPhone in case it gets lost or stolen.Anyone else worried?
I am wondering if RIM or the Carriers 'blacklist' stolen / lost PINs? The reason being I just purchased a Bold 9000 but I have a sneaky feeling that it is stolen. I want to know if I should even both trying to get a data plan if I can't get BIS and BBM to work.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8310.I tried to follow the instructions on a similar post and go to my address book to change the contact directions, However I lost my icon for the Address Book for some reason.how to make everything operable again?
I recently had my Bold 9900 stolen/lost, although I have now purchased a replacement 9900 I want to try and track down my old one as it is not a cheap device. I still have all of the packaging of my first phone so therefore the IMEI / PIN etc. I have reported this to my provider (China Mobile) and I have a new account setup on my new device.I have sent a bbm request to my old phone hoping to get some contact but my joy, I am asking friends who have my old PIN as a bbm contact to try the new 'owner' as well. Is there any way I can find the mobile number of whoever is using my old phone so I can ring them? (I understand it may have been sold on but has only been 3 days since it was stolen/lost) or tracking the device? (I did not have any tracking software on the device at the time it was stolen).
My iPhone4S was stolen yesterday and I wiped the data off the phone using my iPad. Unfortunately this wipe of data seems to have beed synced via iCloud to my PC and iPad and I have lost all calendar and contacts details. Is there a way for me to recover this data?
Blackberry has a remote 'Kill' command to erase all user data in case the device is lost or stolen. I have only seen articles referring to accessing a BES Admin screen, which I do not have.I use my own email server but I do go through the BES to get to it.Can I deploy the Remote Kill from my laptop or do I need to call Verizon or BES if my phone is lost or stolen?I have a lot of sensitive data on my device which I need on a daily basis.
I had a work email account on my phone for years and it worked perfectly. In the last couple of weeks, it stopped sending and receiving altogether. Now I've entered all my information and keep getting the same error:
Cannot log in. Verify your email address, user name and password. If this problem persists [url]...
I beg its supportiPhone 4 that I use can not accept telephone network. Not because the sim card issue, but the iPhone, is the second time I do a repair order. I've done restored with the same result.
I recently lost my entire address book when I deleted all of my contacts from an old yahoo email address. Some of the contacts are backed up on my desktop at home, but lots had been entered manually and had nothing to do with the yahoo email address. Does anyone know how I can restore it? I am desperate to get it restored as I lost some vital numbers.
I recently went to the store I purchased my Blackberry from because certain application features were not working. The problem was fixed but at the same time my email address was accidentally deleted by the employee, I then contacted my carriers technical support to get the email retrieved but they had informed me that the email had been deleted. <Personal Content Removed> is the address and I would like it to be retrieved.
My wife has a 4S i phone and can dictate her text messages, which is nice since she cannot type at all. I have the i phone 4 but cannot seem to locate the microphone icon on my screen for texts that she has, nor find anything in sound settings to figure out how to do the same. Is this an app i need to download OR any other suggestions on how to set up ability to dictate the text message for times when I cannot type, such as driving?
I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager like the BB site said to do and backed up my address book and everything else on my phone. I was going to update my BB Curve 8330 software. I read the directions and followed them and after I backed up and it said the back up was successful I tried to update the software and it said that failed so I restored everything back onto my phone and guess what? Address book is gone! So far that's the only thing I can find that didn't restore but I'm still looking. Is there anything that I can do that I am not techno-savvy enough to have realized or are they just gone? If they're just gone then fine whatever I'm not going to freak out.
I plugged my 4gs into my computer with the USB charger cable, and the screen went blank and came up with a picture of the usb cable with an arrow pointing to iTunes...
