I've been trying to figure out what the limit on the iphones will be. I've looked around but I'm still a little confused. I want to open a new account with 2 lines for my brother and I. I've read two different things: There is a limit to one phone per account vs There is a limit on 1 phone per person. Which one is it? Because if it's the latter, that would mean we'd both be able to get one. we will both be present at time of purchase.
Being aged 39 I wasn't too happy to have a hearing test this week to be told that I am 'borderline' need for the hearing aids! I've been given very strict instructions to 'protect' my hearing (ear defenders whenever using a powertool, turning down the volume on any personal music player, no standing infront of the speakers for 2 hour at a rave!)
Wihtout wanting to get into a debate about EU regulation or what safe volumes are, how I can cap the volume on my iPhone (iPhone 4, latest OS) to a relatively agreed safe limit? I remember that my older iPod Classic had a handy line that you could set the limit to (related, I think, to the FR/EU regulation).
I have found the slider in Settings>Music on the iPhone, how much I need to dial this down for it to be 'safe'. I intend using my noise cancelling headhone more (so I can hear more of the lower volume music)
Info: iMac G5, Intel iMac, Mac Mini, Mac OS X (10.7)
I am trying to activate Intuit GoPayment reader and am supposed to go to music in setting and turn on Volume Limit. It says it's off. I get in there and the slider is up all the way and there is no switch but a button "Lock Volume Limit". I have no locks on this phone. My phone settings in Music for the Volume Limit says it's off. I touch the arrow and inside the volume slider is all the way up. How do I turn the volume limit "on". Do I get a volume limit code to turn it on?
I have one I ordered through At&T for me and I reserved one at Apple for pickup ( I have both right now). NOW my son wants one and my wife too. Now I was eligible for a upgrade but the rest of the family unit is not but a 399 upgrade. Question remains how many am I limited too if at all and willing to pay the freight. Man just realized I made Steve's day today reading this. Can I get a discount.
I know the iPhone battery isn't that great and most people on here charge over night. I charge over night, at work, later when I get home, then again at night ( prob down to 60%). should I limit the number of charges to save the long term life of the battery or can the battery take it?
MTS texted me, saying they are going to 'manage my connection speed' if I use more than 10GB of data this month. I have currently used 8GB in the last 30 days!I don't know what this means or how to stop from going over the 10GB.
I am planning to buy my friend's recently purchased iPhone 4S. Since he was using it with his own AppleID for a month only, this 90 day limitation makes me wonder f I but it right now whether I could use it freely with my AppleID to be created new. I guess resetting it to factory settings and setting up as a new phone with a brand new AppleID should not cause any harm but I wanted to get expert opinion. I don't want to buy a phone and wait two more months to use it.
if this 90-day limitation goes away when I reset the device fully and set it up with new AppleID. I would expect no problem as none of the purchased apps/songs could be transferred from old account but still I am not sure and I need help.
I reached the 11 pages of Springboard, I read that you can work around this limitation with a specific procedure. Someone explain it knows? I have iPhone 4 16 GB with iOS 5.1.
I would like to check how long can a voice memo records. I was wondering if it is limited by the amount of free storage in the phone or there is an official time limit for it.
I am a long time user of Google Calendar, and have recently run into problems syncing it to my devices. I recently added two new calendars (bringing my total up to ten), but neither will show up on either my iPhone or iPad. I have tried unsyncing, and resyncing my calendar data, to no effect. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of calendars that can be synced?
I want to limit the amount of emails that are downloaded to my mail app. I can only find instruction for doing this in ios7. I am using ios8. I don't have a “Mail Days to Sync” option.
People calling me have sometimes complained that if I am not available to take the call, they have to wait for many rings - and hence a long time - before the messaging system kicks in. And sometimes, callers give up, assuming I don't have voicemail. I know you can limit the number of rings on other phones, but I haven't find out how to do it with my iPhone. I'm sure it's easy though!!
I recently changed 'Mail Days to Sync' to 'No Limit', but the main screen Mail Icon displays 1,152 e-mails (i.e., my entire Inbox). How to I stop this number being displayed?
Can I limit the number of emails downloaded when I manually fetch mail on an iphone 5s. On my previous iphone ( a 3gs) I thought only 50 inbox items at a time were visible. Right now I'm showing several thousand.(I should be better with my mailbox)
I am trying to activate Intuit GoPayment reader and am supposed to go to music in setting and turn on Volume Limit. It says it's off. I get in there and the slider is up all the way and there is no switch but a button "Lock Volume Limit". I have no locks on this phone. Am I supposed to get/enter a Volume Limit Code in order to activate this?
So far:I've reset it many many times (holding the home button & top button until the apple appears)Updated to the latest software.Let it "die" before giving it a full charge.Reset the settings. It started off being only a few certain people being unable to hear me, but now it's everyone
I just bought this phone tnight and when I got home I discovered that none of the pics, phone number, text messages or voice mails are mine. I have another person's information. How can I fix this? The store is closed.
While I've sat out for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS, I was unable to get my hands on a launch-day iPhone 4 this year due to work scheduling. I was able to sell my own iPhone 3GS and purchase an iPhone 4 on eBay (yeah yeah). Well, its coming tomorrow morning and it just hit me that I have a SIM card and it has a (blank, I know, I did some searching) Micro-SIM card.
Will I be able to just plug it into iTunes and activate on my account? Or will I have to actually call or go to AT&T to discuss this with them?I don't want to accidentally activate the eBay purchaser's account, since the box is still sealed.Sorry if this has been answered before. I've found questions regarding iPhone purchases based on other lines but not one like this.
iMessaging has been fine until this last week, and now, 75% of the time any imessages don't send to my girlfriend - they don't change to delivered either - they just sit there, in blue, but not sent or delivered.
We have both restored our phones and backed up from icloud - this didnt fix anything.
We both changed our imessage "recieved at" email addresses yesterday - to make our tests weren't sending from the old attached email account, I'd send a message to her, then get her to reply and vice versa - basically to make sure it was the newly setup email (as I believe there's a propogation period when adding a new email to imessage?) - either way, this didn't work.
I've tested via my ipad2 - shockingly enough, this didn't work.
