IPhone :: Volume Limit Won't Turn On In Settings For Intuit GoPayment Reader
May 8, 2012
I am trying to activate Intuit GoPayment reader and am supposed to go to music in setting and turn on Volume Limit. It says it's off. I get in there and the slider is up all the way and there is no switch but a button "Lock Volume Limit". I have no locks on this phone. Am I supposed to get/enter a Volume Limit Code in order to activate this?
Being aged 39 I wasn't too happy to have a hearing test this week to be told that I am 'borderline' need for the hearing aids! I've been given very strict instructions to 'protect' my hearing (ear defenders whenever using a powertool, turning down the volume on any personal music player, no standing infront of the speakers for 2 hour at a rave!)
Wihtout wanting to get into a debate about EU regulation or what safe volumes are, how I can cap the volume on my iPhone (iPhone 4, latest OS) to a relatively agreed safe limit? I remember that my older iPod Classic had a handy line that you could set the limit to (related, I think, to the FR/EU regulation).
I have found the slider in Settings>Music on the iPhone, how much I need to dial this down for it to be 'safe'. I intend using my noise cancelling headhone more (so I can hear more of the lower volume music)

I am trying to activate Intuit GoPayment reader and am supposed to go to music in setting and turn on Volume Limit. It says it's off. I get in there and the slider is up all the way and there is no switch but a button "Lock Volume Limit". I have no locks on this phone. My phone settings in Music for the Volume Limit says it's off. I touch the arrow and inside the volume slider is all the way up. How do I turn the volume limit "on". Do I get a volume limit code to turn it on?
A salesman in the store wanted me to try the Fingerprint Reader but I do not like it and want to go back to the swipe to unlock. How do you turn off the fingerprint reader? I am on Verizon if that makes a difference.
How to disable the data usage warning? I'm aware that I can just set the limit to a ridiculous amount and it will stop going off, but that's not what I'm looking for. I guess I'm just easily annoyed by the fact that there is no setting to turn this off. You can uncheck the box for "set data limit" but that still doesn't get rid of the warning.
I've used the OS5 Blackberry Messenger to scan QR codes on my Bold 9700 and it worked great. Upload OS6 and now it just pops back to the Messenger screen. I've tried soft reboots and hard reboots without any success.
Does anybody know a decent Freeware PDF reader (except Adobe PDF reader, Actually i don't want to pay for that otherwise its great) for 5230??? and i was also wondering why it (AdobePDF) is not installed by default in 5230? even it was present on n70, n73, n95 8GB, any thoughts?
I don't know if this goes in iPhone or iOS. I was in a restaurant viewing my Facebook newsfeed and accidentally clicked a video that started playing at full volume. I pushed the mute button but that didn't stop the sound. Â
I turned the volume on the phone all the way down using the buttons but that didn't make a difference. Same thing happened with Pandora.Â
There are at least 2 apps on my iPhone 5 that did not respect the volume settings on the phone (set with the buttons and mute switch). Â
My phone got a little wet, so now it wont play music.. There is no problem when my phone ring or when i get a text, but when i go into the music library and try to play a song, it just lay but there's no sound... and when i go out of the music library to try to turn my volume up or down it says that my headphones are in when they are not what should i do?
When i turn up the volume to high (when it goes red on the volumebar on screen) i cannot turn it down again via volume buttons.
I can turn up to maximum and turn down to where the red level begins, but i cannot turn down below the red line. Between, if i use the volume settings on screen, theres no problems.
If i turn down below high settings i can adjust via buttons fine but as soon as i get up to high again it wont turn down via buttons. Its the same with buttons on phone and on headset. I have done a full reinstall of iphone with no change to the problem.
I just purchased the new iPhone 4S. My keyboard clicks and lock sounds are obnoxiously loud. I know how to turn them completely off in general settings, but how can I just turn their volume down?
When I plug my I-Phone 3 into my vehicle's USB port i have to turn the volume way up to hear music. I usually listen to an FM station at volume level 12. When using the Iphone I can't hear anything until a level above 30.
I had a Pearl 8120 before, and it had the ability to store different volume levels for handset, speakerphone and headset. The 9700 seems to have just one setting for all.If you change the volume on the speaker, the volume will also be changed for the headset.I find this rather annoying. Or did I overlook a setting somewhere to make it work?
I've just got my z3 and updated it to the recent update. Now before this update I was having a play around as you do and I got to admit I really like the phone and is functions. So I went ahead and updated the software. After doing this I noticed that some of the functions that I really liked, for example the mute function has disappeared. No problem I found out you can just use the volume key to do this. However I have been reading about the whole volume setting operates both message and media.
So my question is, can these be separated as in you set the volume for messages without affecting your media volume or do I have to keep adjusting the volume each time I'm finished watching or listening to a media file in order for me to hear my message notifications?
My old S2 had the same volume controls - up-and-down rocker on the left side - as my new S6.
On the S2 the rocker raised or lowered the volume on any noise coming out of the phone - music, ringtone, speakerphone, whatever.
It seems the s6 defaults to controlling ringtone volume only. After reading up on it here, I downloaded Rocker Locker to make it default to media instead.
I just discovered by waking my sweetie up that "Media" doesn't include, say, ringtones as you're assigning them to contacts. I started editing the contact, chose the ringtone I wanted, and it started blaring. Volume control had no effect.
What I truly want is for the volume control to do what the S2 one did: control the volume on any noise of any kind at all spewing out of the phone.
I have an original Jawbone with an Iphone 3gs with the latest firmware. As far as I can remember, this has always been the case since I got the Iphone, I cannot turn off the Jawbone while on a call. With my last phone (a MAXX VE on vxw), I could just hold down the button on the Jawbone for 3 seconds, the Jawbone would turn off and I could continue talking using the phone.
Now that I have the Iphone, holding that button down does nothing while I'm on a call. I, of course, can switch between the phone and the Jawbone, but I can't turn off the Jawbone unless I go to settings on the Iphone to disable bluetooth.
So my question is: Is there a way to power down the original Jawbone in the middle of a call on an Iphone
Is it just me or with the upgrade to JB has Moto taken the colume controls on this phone and downgraded the performance of the speaker?
Having mild hearing loss I loved the fact that with this phone my ringtones and notification sounds could wake up the dead. For normal situations I would have to slide the volume controls to the mid point of the slide bar, but when I was in a noisy environment I could slide the controls all the way to the right and be sure I wouldn't miss a call. Now after the upgrade it seems like even with the slider controls all the way to the right the volume is no where nearly as loud as it used to be.
Is this just me or did Moto make a change with the update? If so is there anyway to get back to the pehnenomal speaker performance we had under ICS?
I seem to recall on my D2G that there was a setting in either Sounds or the Phone settings that would allow you to set a default in call volume. I can't seem to find that on the D4 and it would nice to have as the phone's default in call volume seems to be 100% which leads me to be continually turning down the volume on every call.
I have an iphone 3GS thought I would have a play with the spen read text which anything you click on is read with a double click but I don't know how to get back into setting as I cannot scroll down to select the item to turn it off.
My iphone 4s photo privacy settings went on the blink. I cannot turn any of the displayed app on or off. Also my recently added Instagram app isn't even displayed.
