Aug 18, 2010So I'd rather use a USB cable to connect to my device instead of SSH because that way I can be sure that there are no security threats like there are with SSH even if you can fix them by just changing your password. Therefore, I have found these two programs and was wondering which one was best. I see that DiskAid isn't free so would iPhone Explorer be the better choice? Also, when I want to use one of these programs, is it best to turn the iPhone off before you plug it in and access the files on it?

May 29, 2010I have just received a "Blackberry Bold 9700 Unlocked International Version" which i purchased from Amazon.Com. "This is supposed to be a new unbranded unit".
The installed software version is 5.0.0.351 with platform 5.1.0.98 and branding version 1.0.160.529q.I have read in this forum that there is a later version of the os available yet when I utilized the BB desktop software updater, it say that the latest version is installed. Is this correct?
I also have other issues with applications. I am unable to download and install the "BlackBerry APP World"; I get a message, " Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World"
"Google talk" give an error messag: " Service not enabled for this hand held" "Blackberry maps" are not loaded on the handset.Setup wizard does not give me the option to set up my personal e-mail only enterprise e-mail.I am able to browse and send and receive MMS & SMS messages.
Kindly advise as to ho to resolve these issues and whether there is a more current software version for the handset, and if so: how do I update it.

Apr 30, 2012I have Iphone 4 currently 4.3.3 version and am having issues updating to current version 5.0.1. Phone is plugged in, computer asks if i want to update, I click yes, computer downloads the new software (25-35 min) but when it starts to transfer to phone an error message pops up saying that the network has timed out. This has happened on two different computers.

Jan 5, 2013I've had this problem for a day or so now. I connect my lumia 920 to my PC (Windows 7 ultimate x64) the phone makes a connection sound and it shows up under My Computer. However when I go to browse the files on the 920 it is just empty. Also when I try and use the WindowsPhone app it boots up on the welcome screen as if it's the first time I'm connecting it and does nothing when I press the continue button...
This hasn't always been the case as I was able to browse the files and use the WindowsPhone app for over a week without trouble previously.What I have tried so far:>Restarting my phone.>Reinstalling the WindowsPhone app.>Repairing and reinstalling .NET 4.5 and updating it.>Turning my firewall off>Connecting it to another USB port. >Connecting it to my other computer. >Hard resting my phone. (This left me stuck on the cog wheels for hours and I had to flash my phone to fix this)>And maybe more things that I can't remember at the moment.Interestingly when I had to hard reset it and wipe everything off the phone it worked fine, the app let the phone sync my music etc, I thought it had been fixed. BUT the second time I went to sync my phone the same problem happened! WindowsPhone app thinks its the first time and wont let me press continue and the device is just empty under My Computer.The phone works fine otherwise, all my music and stuff is on it from the first sync and I have 0 problems besides this!

I plugged it in and continued with the update. Ever since I have been unable to access any Internet pages on my phone.It still works because it shows how many e-mails I have on my e-mail tab, but no pages will open whatsoever. I try opening Internet Explorer and it makes the swipe action as if it's about to open, but then it doesn't. Same for the e-mails, won't open them, and it won't open the App market, et cetera.I tried resetting my phone and still nothing, is there anything I can do?
