Jul 22, 2010I just bought a Nokia phone and downloaded the PC Suite.I wanted to put some music in my phone so I tried downloading OVI but it always stops while 'checking for updates'. It says that there's a problem with the internet connection on my computer. I've never had this kind of trouble before.

Jun 22, 2010I'm trying to support nearly 100 Blackberries (mostly the Tour), and any wireless update breaks the phones with various results: anywhere from just deleting the email sync settings (all carriers) all the way to the phone unable to make/receive calls (just T-Mobile for the lack of calling, Verizon or AT&T seem unaffected thus far). We do *not* use a BES server, however, if that's what is needed, I'm certainly willing to go there. If and when an update is needed (by our standards), I will perform them. I really don't want anything coming from Blackberry, ever. I instruct users to hide the update icon, however, they always say it eventually comes back and keeps prompting to install the update. To rid themselves of the annoyance, they do the update, break the phone, then have the greater annoyance of waiting until I can get the phone fixed.

Dec 9, 2011i thought maybe it was because of no 3/4G coverage, but just moments ago, after removing/reinstalling the SIM card, I just got 4G back and still can't check for updates. I hope my replacement phone doesn't suffer from this glitch. this is getting very aggravating! I've been without data coverage since Weds morning, other than for a few moments, here and there and only after a SIM card pull.

Apr 3, 2010A day or two after the upgrade to firmware v40 I noticed that the phone doesn't disconnect from my WiFi connection after checking email. Previously WiFi would disconnect after it was done checking email.This happens for more than one WiFi destination (home & work), and I have verified that the connection's advanced settings do show that power saving mode is ON.
I've verified that there are no apps running in the b/g that requires connection, and if I manually disconnect the WiFi connection, then it stays disconnected until the next time the email check runs, at which point it does not disconnect automatically.

Dec 10, 2014I have an iPhone 4S with 8 Gig memory, 1.1 Gig currently free.  I recently converted to ios 8.1.2. Subsequently, the phone has stopped working on my wireless network, neither receiving or sending email, nor connecting to the internet. The router diagram shows that I am connected via WiFi, but when I try either of these functions, I simply get into a continuous loop.Â
I have already attempted this with and without connection to the iCloud drive, rebooting everything (router, modem, iMac, iPhone). I have one other iPhone (same specs) and an iPad mini, that both work on the network. The iPhone giving me the problems works fine on the Verizon network and on other WiFi networks.Â

Jun 14, 2010I have searched and I see plenty of threads on checking eligibility online via AT&T.com but I can't seem to find on the site where to get detailed info.
For example, I log in, select the line I want to check eligibility for, then it brings me to phone selections. On the line that is eligible the phones are discounted, on the line that isn't they show full retail price. However that's NOT what I am after. I want detailed info on my upgrade status, not just to base it on if a phone is discounted.
I can't call 639 because I no longer have my iphone.
I'm already planning on using another users upgrade eligibility but I wanted specific dates and info on my upgrade status for future reference (new Iphone next year)

Jul 28, 2010I will check about 1,500 songs in iTunes I like and put them on my phone. Then my daughter will "select all" then "uncheck selection" then click the songs she likes. Then my my son will do the same thing. So, now if i go back to select or unselect music I have to start from scratch. I'm sure there is an easier way for all of us to select our music than starting from scratch everytime. I thought about making a file with my music in it but then I'd still have to click and drag over 1,000 songs which would take forever.

Jul 21, 2010Ok so really a bit frustrating there REALLY should be an option to turn on and off email accounts. Its kinda ridiculous that you have to go through a bunch of steps and jump through hoops the turn off an email account. Or just delete it. When Im at work I dont need to emails to go to the phone and I just end having to delete a bunch of them. Ok rant off heres my problem. I looked in the BB instruction to stop forwarding message to my phone and it told me how to do it. It says go into messages, then open the menu, go to options, email settings and tell the phone to stop forwarding emails. Problem is I don't have that option. Whats the deal?By the way I tried to get into my BIS account online and it said It wasn't available and I had to access settings on the phones.
