I recently lost my Iphone 4 and wiped it using the Find My Phone application. But the Iphone is retrieved and I still have not recieved any mail about a succsessful wipe. So my question is; is it possible to regret the remote wipe function? I guess the wipe function will start when the Iphone gets in contact with a network with internet access? I have some backup on my mac, but there is many important items on the phone that has no backup.
My brother lost his iPhone 4S and he request wipe and I want to cancel it to find the iPhone when be online fast any know any idea Ito cancel this request.
Is it possible to regret restoring a previous synchronization on a iphone in iTunes? I connected my iphone to my computer for the first time today, after using it for several months, and i accidentally pressed the restore button and all my settings, pictures, notes etc. disappeared. Instead i only got a few things from the last iPhone i had... Is there any way to get a hold of the content i lost? I have saved it to iCloud, but i don't have a mac to open it with. Is there any other way to transfer it to the iPhone?
I've created a group on BBM, after wiping my device I didn't find it back. I did ask someone to invite me, but my join request is pending (waiting probably for my approval). What can I do?
Bought iPhone IMEI 012339004009278.NO 4! He was not activated, I officially unlocked from AT & T. IPhone 4 all the alkali is not working. I contacted the AT & T they told me that I turned to you. When you activate the SIM card iPhone wrote 4 = `We regret we can not continue with the activation at this time. Please try again later or contact customer support. What do I do?
My phone was stolen out of my bag, it was dead. So he/she had chearged and posted a picture on one of my social media accounts basically taunting me?Â
I bought a new one so I have that cleared up and I am not worried about that, but I have a GREAT deal of passwords and important information on there, just hoping there is another way to erase all said personal information from my phone. Like many others, my request to erase is still pending, is that just because they have not connected to wifi? And if he/she goes weeks without accessing wifi does this mean he/she can see all personal information on there?
I've recently made the switch from Sprint to AT&T service. I have the Nokia 6350. I'm far from satisifed and am beginning to regret making the change. I sent a couple of messages to Nokia asking questions about the use of the 6350. The first reply I received was a generic response that was of no help whatever. It seemed apparent that the support technician did nothing more than glance at the message and sent a useless reply. I answered that message but never got a reply back.
I have two questions: Is my experience typical of what others have gotten from Nokia, or should I view it as anomoly? I know that Nokia makes the handset. The software on the handset, the user interface, is that produced and supported by Nokia, by AT&T or another party?
1. Power off phone. 2. Press Volume Down & Power. 3. Click Reboot to Bootloader. 4. Click Boot to Recovery Mode.
After extensive researching and contacting HTC directly, I found out that I am supposed to get a few options where one of them is 'Wipe Cache Partition'. However, all I get is a black screen for a few secods, then an icon of my phone with an exclamation mark on it. That appears for about a minute, after that the phone reboots.
Any reason that's not working? I'm running Lollipop 5.1 and Sense 7.0.
So my wife in her infinite wisdom, bought a Galaxy S6 off some guy at her work to replace my aging HTC M8. The catch being that he forgot his Samsung credentials, so he couldn't log in, and therefore is selling the phone to make up for his stupidity. Before buying it, she checked the IMEI and its clear, along with the fact that the guy had all the original stuff that came with it, and it was almost brand new.
Now my question is, how can I bypass this? How can everything be erased for this isn't an issue? I've odined it to a fresh ROM, even Nand Erase All, but its still stuck with it. I know previous versions there was ways around it, but I can't seem to find one with this.Currently running AT&T build G920AUCU2AOF3, which I believe is 5.0.2.
I know there are a lot of these threads, you don't have to tell me.But i've read some and didn't find what I was looking for, exactly.I am selling my Storm 2 9550, and want to make sure all my information is out of it. But I don't want to make it incapable of using for the buyer. So how do I wipe or just clean out of phone of my info, and still have it working for him? Should I just do a wipe, and then reinstall the OS? Or will he be able to reinstall the OS when he puts it and installs the BlackBerry desktop software? How does it come when you buy it from Verizon?
To improve the security on my phone, I engaged the password feature. In trying to get back in my phone I must have entered the password incorrectly. When the maximum attempts had been used, the phone went through wiping and my phone was totally reset. My BBM listing and contact listing were all lost and even my BBM pin was changed. My phone was previously backed up on my computer but the computer is identifying my phone as a different divice. is there any way to get my computer to load my contact lists on the phone after it had been wiped in this way?
LG G4 froze and then the screen went black. It won't soft or hard reboot and / or charge. How can I ensure my cell is wiped clean prior to sending back to Verizon after my replacement comes in?
I dropped my phone and cracked the screen and now the screen is all black. I went through insurance and received my new phone. I've deactivated the old phone and activated my new phone. I've been reading other responses for a similar problem but it seems like most of them have not activated the new phone yet and were able to wipe the phone using the Android Device Manager. Since I've already activated my new phone, if I use ADM it finds my new phone and not my old phone.
Is there a way to wipe the data off of the old phone with a broken screen after I've already activated my new phone?
I got my verizon galaxy s5 stolen last week Monday and I'm wondering if there's any way to locate and wipe the phone? I know it's been over a week, but any way to locate and wipe the phone?
Last Monday night, I called the phone not too long after it was stolen and it went straight to voicemail. Later that night I suspended service. I went ahead and called the insurance I have for the phone and got another s5 delivered on Wednesday for a $99 deductible. I activated the phone that evening and it's been working fine since then.
I tried installing android device manager app on my new s5 and it wasn't able to locate my stolen s5 and my current s5.
If an user loses his device and the password is entered wrong 10 times the device wipes itself and the password will be erased too so the phone could be used like new.
Is there any way to prevent security wipe from deleting the device password? Is there any way to disable security wipe? (Maybe finding and deleting the .cod file)
2 days ago my friend brought his 9700 for me to upgrade OS. I used security wipe, then tried using BBSAK to wipe the OS and it asked for password. Then I used AppLoder to install the new OS and it asked for password again.
Why didn't security wipe delete the device password this time?
I have a curve and I want to sell it. I tried to wipe handheld and when I did the wipe the apps were not wiped, I saw a post about dialing ##000000 and some setting I can do to wipe the apps, but no clear discreption. Anyone have any ideas on wipeing this apps not one by one so I can sell this phone.
I haven't been able to find any information about how remote wipe functionality works on this phone. Is it only available through third-party apps or if you use Exhange and Activesync or is there some ability to do it out of the box.
The first time it took about 10 mins. 2nd time failed after 30 mins and I had to restart. 3rd time just took 25 mins but completed. What's going on!?!?!
I Lost my phone yesterday I tracked it through the find my iphone app. It pops up but says offline. phone is still receiving calls it rings 4 times then goes to voicemail, so I know its on.
My son recently added a password to his iPhone. He forgot it, I have tried hooking it up to the computer we have last synched it with, and tried to restore it. Unfortunately, find my iPhone is enabled, so I get a message that says "Find My iPhone must be turned off before "iPhone" can be restored," when I try to restore it.
I washed my iPhone 4s last week. I just got my replacement phone. I want to restore from iCloud (for my calendar) and iTunes (for everthing else like contacts, etc.) but when I try to do that it says I have to turn off "find my phone" from my old iPhone. My old phone's display is dead so I can't do anything on it. It still rings when I get a call but I can't answer it.
