I am running IOS 4.0.1 on an iPhone 4 and have only noticed today that EVERY time I wake the phone, I have to enter my passcode.I have the AutoLock setting set to 5 minutes and previously I thought that if for example I use the sleep button on the top of my phone, but then immediately wake the phone and 'slide to unlock' - if that 5 minute window hasn't passed, I don't have to put the passcode back in, and it goes straight to the springboard. However, now it seems regardless of the AutoLock 'x minutes' duration, whether it goes to sleep by itself or if I manually sleep the phone then wake it straight away, I always have to enter the code.
I do have it connected to an Exchange 2007 account (of which I'm admin of so if it's something to do with the settings in there then that's something I could change). It's weird though as my girlfriend has an identical phone/os etc, and is also connected to our exchange server but she doesnt have this passcode issue. If she unlocks her phone, then sleeps it and immediately wakes it, when she uses the slider on the lock screen she isn't prompted for the passcode.
I've confirmed all the setting for my email account with my IS provider. I can receive email on my iPhone 3GS no problem, but it won't connect to the server to send anything...
when i turned my iphone on it wouldnt let me enter my passcode but still lets me make emergency calls. It then shows up with a sign saying restore needed however when i connect my iphone to itunes it says i need to enter my passcode but it doesnt let me do that so does anybody know what i can do to fix the problem if that makes sense?
Earlier today I was able to unlock the screen but the passcode screen was shrunk to the bottom left corner and I was left unable to enter the numbers for the passcode.
My screen is frozen black but i still hear notification sounds and siri still works. its still under warranty but I'd like to back it up, unfortunately it has a passcode (which I cannot enter because the screen is not responding). Is there anyway I can still get my pictures off of it?
When I went to use my iPhone 5S, I discovered the icons were enormous! Due to the huge size, I was unable to negotiate to the Settings menu, so I tried restarting the phone, thinking that might solve the problem. It did not.Â
Of course, I have to re-enter my passcode, and due to the huge size of the keypad icons, I was unable to enter my passcode, inadvertently hitting wrong numbers. My phone keeps disabling for increasing periods of time. I tried connecting to iTunes on my Macbook Pro, thinking I might get to Settings that way, but it asks me to enter the passcode on my phone.Â
I'm trying to connect a bluetooth speaker to my LG G4, but it won't connect as I get an error on my phone saying that the passcode is wrong, do I want to try again? The problem is that the passcode screen never shows up to enter the code!! Is there a workaround? I'm currently running Android version 5.1 (UK resident), will Marshmallow 6.0 sort out this problem?
Changed my passcode lock from letters back to numbers. I know what numbers i picked for the lock but the phone won't let me in! Tried a number of combinations but none worked! Has it ever happened that an iPhone won't let you in with the correct passcode? Does it usually malfunction when you switch back to numbers? And most importantly - is the only solutioin to reset the phone???
An apple ID prompt keeps popping up for my account at any and everytime I am using my iPhone 4 (Verizon, currently running iOS 5.1). It asks me for my password, I enter, it disappears. However whenever I enter into any application on my phone, the prompt strikes again
I just got the iPhone 4s. I don't like having to enter my apple id password every time I download an app. Is it possible to turn off the password prompt?
How do I stop the prompt coming up indicating that mobile data is turned off for a certain app. I know it is turned off and I don't want to be reminded every time I open an app.
How can I send my contacts to my iPhone? I have tried to do this through my iCcloud settings, but I do not get the prompt for a merge. Is there another way to do this? Am I doing something wrong?
I changed my theme (can't remember the name for the life of me) and my phone went dead. When I turned it on a lock was popping up repeatedly on my screen, where a pin code prompt usually comes up. I've tried pressing every button and trying to move on screen with the trackpad but still no luck
never seen this before, have had many blackberries 6230->7230->7290->7100->8700->8320->8900->9700..any ideas? no changes to my data plans, services, installed apps before it started.both "continue" and "close connection" close the prompt (after choosing it 3 or 4 times) and view cert doesnt do anything, happens on GPRS/EDGE/3G/UMA equally
I bought a carrier-independent sim-free Desire S and I've been really happy with it. Once it as announced, I was even looking forward to the 2.3.5 update, but I've not seen hide nor hair of it so far.Is there any way I can prompt the update? I'm assuming it's an OTA update but I've not seen anything so far. I've been checking manually every day for the last couple of weeks, but again nothing. Is there a way of narrowing down to a date as to when my particular phone is eligible for the update? Perhaps by serial number?
Each time I connect to my PC via USB I'm asked what connection type I want. I have the option "Don't ask again". If I take this, is there somewhere I can go to get the prompt back?I've come across sufficient applications where the "Don't ask again" is irreversible that I'm now more cautious.
Every now and then, my X6 would ask "Allow application to use network to send or receive data?". When I click Yes, it will bring me to Email Setup.
How do I stop this whole procedure from happening again and again? I have seen the same question posted for other Nokia phones, but the specific instruction does not apply to the X6.
I got a replacement phone from insurance and then restored it - it came w. OS 5.0.0.732However, all the new email that i receive only let me "delete or cancel".I have the correct setting for the Email reconciliation: Delete On: Prompt Wireless Reconcile: On On Conflicts: Mailbox Wins Any help would be really appreciated. I know other people have reported this problem w. different OS's on different phones.
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9930 from and by Verizon...I'm going over seas and will need to use another SIM card in it... I've put another SIM cardbooted it OR placed any other NEW SIM card it - it gives me the attached Blackberry ID sign in screen!!!it fails to authenticate me - because it needs the _internet_(because if I boot up with my original SIM card and enable WiFi and boot with any other SIM card - only then it's able to authenticate me... with same pass and etc...this is odd and actually crazy... it relies on the internet to give me access to the phone - if I'm in a middle of an undeveloped country no 3G or WiFi - and need to reboot / use another SIM etc... how does it expect me to authenticate!?and even more I am worried that even if I wipe ... and restore to factory - I will end up being presented with this sign in screen...I've tried to remove the BlackBerry ID in options - but can't see a way to do it...is it OS 7 issue?is it the AppWorld 3 issue? should I remove it? should I uninstall it?what do you think will happen if I enter the wrong sign in password 11 times?what ever it is - there must be some sort of a work around.
Every now and then, a prompt pops up asking whether which option do I want to use to connect to the internet. After I select an option usually my email gets uppated, so I'm assuming the email is asking for internet. Isn't there a way Nokia messaging would update itself on its own without my having to choose an option every time?
just got my 9700 today. With my old 9000 I was able to make a password, lock my phone, and then upon unlocking it it would ask for my password. With my new one I just need to press the unlock button... what's the point of the password then? Can I make it ask for my password when I unlock it?? And how?
