With my old 9000 I was able to make a password, lock my phone, and then upon unlocking it it would ask for my password.With my new one I just need to press the unlock button... what's the point of the password then? I hate the prompt that asks whether you want to delete messages on mailbox and handheld. I don't use BES so the message is just a hassle.I had no problem figuring out how to remove the prompt on the 9000 - messages>options>email reconciliation. Sep 3, 2014Out of the blue my voicemail makes me type in my password to access my voicemail. I never had this before and find it very irritating and do not want it. I have tried the 'fix-it' solution put forth in goggling the question, and nothing worked despite repeated tries - which was to open the phone app, press 1, then press 4 and follow instructions.  But as soon as I press 1, I am told to enter my password and then it goes directly into voicemail; I don't have any other options.Â

Jun 22, 2010Everytime I end a call a screen will show up asking me to enter my voice mail password. If I click cancel it will show up again once more, another cancel, and it will go away. But if I enter something and click ok, it will just keep coming back.
Here's the thing though...I don't have a voice mail password.
My visual voice mail does not work and my phone will not tell me if I have a voice mail or not. I called my voice mail and went to the option to turn off my voice mail password, yet it didn't do anything.
I tried making a password then getting rid of it, hard reset, restore, everything and nothing seems to work. I was hoping iOS4 would do something to fix it but no luck.
Also, this screen will also show up if I have no service and then regain it. (It also tells me if I have a voice mail only if I have no service, which is pretty much never).
Any ideas?

Apr 12, 2010Maybe this is in the VZW Tour 5.0 software thread or something, but after completing the software upgrade, when I receive emails through my Gmail account and decide to delete an email, I am no longer getting the option to delete from the mailbox, the device, or both, although the option is set uo from this particular email account. I'm not having any problems with the Yahoo email account. I've removed the email and readded it on the phone as well as on the Blackberry Internet Server website.
