Also, the BB Knowledge Base Article KB23925 says its aware of this problem, however, has no time frame for resolution.Ok guys can we hurry up! Its rendering my ability to use this device dramatically as I am a exclusive Mac User. Feb 26, 2015On the app icons for Facebook and Email, I have orange circles with a number in them showing new emails or Facebook notifications. I want to make the orange FB notifications DISAPPEAR. My belief is that since I see that orange # show up so frequently, with every new comment to a FB post, that my device must be pushing notifications and checking FB every 10 minutes, wearing down my battery. So I would like to end that.
I have already:
1.Gone to App Settings > Refresh Interval and said NEVER
2.Gone to App Settings > Notifications and choose INACTIVE
3.Gone to Account Settings > Notifications > Mobile Push and UNCHECKED everything
I have also gone to Device Settings > Applications > Application Manager > Facebook and UNCHECKED Show Notifications.
The same orange circle with number of new emails show on my email icon, but I don't mind that so much. However, if I can disable it, perhaps I can find my way to disable on Facebook.

Dec 5, 2011From the research that I have done, it appears that I can add, move, delete or rename email folders on my blackberry device only if I have the enterprise version of the operating system. Is there any way to be able to organize my messages on my device other than a huge inbox as a personal (not enterprise) user?If possible I'd like to synchronize my folders, but I'd settle to just be able to create my own folders on my blackberry for organization purposes.Maybe it's just me, but this seems like a huge weakness when comparing to other types of mobile devices.

Apr 9, 2010Using E71 on latest firmware 400.xxx, Nokia Messaging application does not synchronize my mail accounts automatically. Tried various settings under "when to sync" with no luck e.g. days: sunday trough to suturday, sync all day, all hours, always sync etc. However the manual synchronization works just fine. So hope someone can help at least with how to attempt troubleshoot this issue. If not with solution, as having email that one needs to sync manually is totally pointless.

Mar 15, 2012My iPhone and iPad quit receiving email as of yesterday morning at 0830. I have received about 100 since then to my Outlook PC mailbox. Nokia :: E71Messaging 9.7 - No Email On Main Screen And Icon
May 11, 20101. No email list on the main screen. In the settings, I have the following options (all names translated from the Polish interface, so original English names can be different) - "Email notification 1", "Email notification 2" and "Nokia Messaging email". The first two seem to refer to the default email program (not Messaging) - I cannot set any mailboxes for them ("There is no mailbox" error). "Nokia Messaging email" shows the "Set up e-mail" link on the main screen. With previous firmware and messaging I had another option "Nokia Intellisync" which triggered email list on the main screen. No such option anymore.
2. Email notifications are "on" in Messaging but when emails arrive there is only a sound. No icon (@) anywhere, no blinking.

1. Does the mail client allow you to create an icon for a specific email account on the main screen? I'm looking for something similar to my Blackberry where I have icons for each of the email accounts that the phone is monitoring. I don't care for the iphone where you have to click through the email client to bring up a different email account.
2.How is the media player?I hope to replace my ipod touch with the N1.I mostly listen to long MP3s of radio shows and have to frequently use my finger to FFW 10 or so minutes within a file that is 6 hours long. I finally got used to doing this on the touch, and I am hoping that the interface on the N1 would also allow such fine skipping within such a large file.
3.Is it any good for playing movies?
4.Does the email client let you specify an email check period? The smallest period on the iphone is 15 minutes, but I would like to enter a smaller value to help ease the transition from Blackberry push email if I were to make the switch to the N1.
