Aug 9, 2010Is there currently an alternative for iBlank on the i4?I assume its not working properly because of Winterboard.all blanks are still slightly visible ( even with No Icon Shadows enabled ).My current wallpaper is quite dark so its not the end of the world but would be nice to get it perfect.

Aug 10, 2010Please state your phone provider and what app your are using to determine your current location.For me IP4, O2, Google maps, I'm about 1.5 miles away from myself in London.Personally I think it makes a mockery of the find my iPhone/iPad app.I guess with a TomTom app it's using satellites so would be more accurate?

May 18, 2012My phone will no longer rotate when I turn it from vertical to horizontal. My keyboard stays vertical when I want it horizontal. Also, near the battery % there now shows a lock symbol where it never did before. Obviously, I somehow changed this setting.

Jun 4, 2014The iOS music app on my phone repeatedly is losing playback position for audiobooks. I go to the Music app > Audiobooks > BookTitle and get to a menu where I see part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, and part 1 says, below the title/author listing, saysÂ

And I touch the title to start it playing, and it shows the little red marker on the progress bar at about the right position for 2 hours having been played, and as often as not, there is a little flash and then the red marker is back at the far left side and it starts playing again at the beginning. Â
These are books from various sources--today's example was a Librivox download, others have been books on CD, and checking in iTunes verifies that they have been correctly coded as audiobooks and 'remember playback position' is automatically checked.Â
It's a PITA hunting through an 8 hour long recording with only the crude control of the little progress bar and 15 second skip forward/back to find the spot I left off.Â
It doesn't happen with the same titles in iTunes on the computer.Â

Jan 2, 2012Having chosen the S2 over the iPhone and having used it now for 3 months (learning new things about it almost everyday) I think I can now arrive at a decision whether I made the right choice.Having seen peoples' iPhones and read on certain forums about them I'm glad I went for the S2 however (there always is an however!!!) there are [so far] 3 little gripes I have w.r.t. the S2
1) The OnOff button could be better in terms of positivity and position.
2) The (installed) Music Player unlike the music player on the iPhone doesn't remember the last position played on a certain track if you navigate away from it and listen to something else and then return to it. A real pain when listening to audiobooks unless you split the audiobook into small (~5mins) tracks then you just have to remember which track you last listened to when you turn the phone off or listen to something else on the music player. This is unlike iTunes, which the iPhone uses, which does it automatically when you check the 'Remember Playback Position' box. Naturally the inability to not remember the last position played doesn't really apply if you just listen to 3mins music tracks!
3) Kies for Mac (which is my main computer) is terrible slow almost unresponsive.Kies for the PC is marginally better but nowhere near as user friendly as iTunes.

Feb 3, 2011The antenna in the E71 model is situated in the bottom of the keypad, next to the microphone. I generally handle the phone in the left hand while I work on the other things with the right hand. Actually, except while typing something on the phone, most of the time it's in my left hand, with the antenna behind the palm (or the palm behind the antenna). Do you think it causes some health or reception issues? The SAR emission from this model is already more than double of most other models.
So far, I've not noticed the signal strength dwindling with my normal handling of the phone. The call quality is the best I've ever experienced in any other brand. The voice is clear, crisp, and very real. My concern is, then, with the effect of constantly using the phone for web browsing or for the calls on the human body. Will it adversely impact me or my hand?
Don't you think the antennas should always be on the top (but on the backside to reduce their impact near the head while talking)? Why do people come up with the new ideas that make little sense? And then, how many of us get to know where the antenna in any new phone model is? If the position is a fixed one, at least everyone will know how to hold the phone right.

Jun 3, 2010I bought a X6 16 GB. I could not use my GPS. I Called care line and got nothing. I just saw "waiting for GPS..." and i searched in web and found that i must select "internal GPS" in position methods, but in that menu i just have a "Bluetooth GPS".nothing else exists there. please tell me how can i fix this. I used "Reset to factory setting" and also do a HARD Format. Why i can't see "Internal Gps" or "Assist gps".
I can use GPS from my old N82 phone, AND GPS NOT Illegal in my country.it's my 6 Nokia phone and I so disappoinment

Jan 6, 2012I normally use gps with data traffic off, and in open sky. Have two navigation apps installed: google maps and CoPilot Live Premium. Have used both of them without any issues before (on Xperia ray), position used to be determined in a matter of few tens of seconds from first start. If I try to use any navigation app now, it simply cannot detect the position. Remarkably, it does see the gps signal, but no matter how long I wait, position remains to be undetermined. To investigate the issue further, I have installed the GPS test app. It shows clearly from 7 to 12 sattelites in use, but position remains to be undetermined! I should add that with GPS test it becomes clear that the number of visible (and usable) sattelites time after time drops down to 1 or 2 without any reason, just for a second or so, and then again jumps to 7-12... I saw some claims in the internet, that this problem has to do with AGPS, but I am not expert in this and so far I haven't found any good solution to the problem.
