Jul 12, 2010i'm helping a friend upgrade her 3.1.2 3GS phone to iOS4 and i'm just trying to find out as much info as possible before i begin. she's currently running on T-mobile so her phone is def. unlocked but i don't see cydia installed. i'm wondering if her phone was factory unlocked, she received it in taiwan as a gift. if it is factory unlocked, does doing a straight upgrade to ios4 end up locking her phone, or should i use the same pwnage custom build i used for my att 3GS to upgrade to ios4?

a) revert to 3.1.2, or

Jul 7, 2010Ever since I upgraded to iOS4.0, my iphone 3GS has been losing its internet connection over 3G.The 3G indicator remains lit on the display, however when trying to surf or use an app that requires internet, it simply times out. In order to get my internet back I need to reboot the phone, or switch airplane mode on, then off.It seems to occur after I leave the house, so it may be that the phone is having trouble automatically switching from Wifi to 3G.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

As you can see, there are 5 green dots in the picture. I understand that when taking direct pictures of a sundown etc., that there might be some lens flare in the picture, but these dots are caused by the lights of a CHRISTMAS TREE! (How many people are going be taking pictures of their Christmas tree in the coming few weeks..?) Also, no matter how I positioned my camera, the dots still continued to show in other pictures as well, forcing me to delete them. �
What are my options here? Buy Photoshop and edit the dots out and accept that a 899€ phone has a bunch of camera issues, or is it possible that apple could at some point fix these lens flare issues in an update?

I have even shot pics (in my basement) using a professional camera light to simulate day light and still the picture colors are way off no matter what setting I use or adjustment is made. I guess it's just the result of being a "phone camera"? Nevertheless I was surprised that even professional lighting bulbs yielded little better than a fluorescent or tungsten bulb. I took a picture of friends in their living room, which was cream with neutral earth tone colors. It came out green on green. I took another of friends in a sand beige painted classroom. The walls came out a sickly lime green.
The only commonality in both situations was that one person in each grouping was wearing lime green, so I went back to the classroom to try again. With the classroom empty, the photo still came out lime green.

Feb 27, 2010I'm having problems tracing 2 of my mystery access points on my N95.I've deleted all the network assigned access points Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Points. But when I try to connect using the built-in web browser, there are still 2 Access Points showing.How can I delete these two? The list of access points are already empty, I even deleted the WLAN connections.
