I upgraded my 3G to iOS 4 and jailbroke it the other day. Everything works fine except data — whenever I try using the internet over 3G, nothing happens. Every app I try is unable to connect to the web. Calls and SMS still work fine.Is there a way to either
a) revert to 3.1.2, or
b) get data working on iOS 4?
Ever since I upgraded to iOS4.0, my iphone 3GS has been losing its internet connection over 3G.The 3G indicator remains lit on the display, however when trying to surf or use an app that requires internet, it simply times out. In order to get my internet back I need to reboot the phone, or switch airplane mode on, then off.It seems to occur after I leave the house, so it may be that the phone is having trouble automatically switching from Wifi to 3G.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

I have AT&T and my data has not been working since I upgraded to iOS 4 yesterday. MMS, Internet, etc doesn't work. I have called AT&T and they don't know why and can't offer any solution. Anyone else having this problem?
I have tried restoring my phone, resetting the network settings, and AT&T tried unregistering and re-registering my phone but still no data.
The Mobile Data does not work for Me after upgrading to 2.2.2 the official update.
I have dowloaded the setting once more from the operator and I have rebooted the phone once.
The Mobile data comes for about 20 seconds when i reboot the phone and then it disappears.
The only thing I _really_ wanted in iOS4 was multitasking but that's a no-go for the 3G. Are there any other things in the new OS to make it worth my while upgrading?

I think PwnageTool is how I upgraded my FW the last time. I just can't remember where I got my custom ipsw and I'm not sure how to find one for 4.0.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi'm helping a friend upgrade her 3.1.2 3GS phone to iOS4 and i'm just trying to find out as much info as possible before i begin. she's currently running on T-mobile so her phone is def. unlocked but i don't see cydia installed. i'm wondering if her phone was factory unlocked, she received it in taiwan as a gift. if it is factory unlocked, does doing a straight upgrade to ios4 end up locking her phone, or should i use the same pwnage custom build i used for my att 3GS to upgrade to ios4?

Both tuiService and OS services are downloading approximately 100K at a time periodically over mobile data throughout the day even though I have a wifi connection.

I have a three month old Z3 on Vodafone in the UK. I have travelled abroad with it 4 times in that time. The first 3 times were fine. Data worked as normal. This month I went to CZ Republic where it was fine. Flew home Saturday. Flew to Spain on the Sunday - no data roaming. I could get texts and make calls but could not get internet or even pick up a 3g or 4g signal at all - even though my 3 friends, all on vodafone right next to me had no problem. I called vodafone and took it into a shop over there. They reset all of the settings for me including setting a new APN etc.Still nothing. They are insistent it is a software fault with the phone - not a connection issue.I landed back in the UK last night and I am picking up data fine again - but I go away next week again and need to make sure it will be working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently upgraded my Z3 to Lollipop after that I tried to use the mobile data outside but it wont work there's no "H" or "E" with arrows up and down showing above the signal.
*Note (I'm using GLOBE sim card I usually use the mobile data when out side range of a WiFi, It works before after I upgraded it to Lollipop.)

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday i used the the mobile data connection just as normal. I downloaded from the store and everything. Then i was back in wlan. I tried Fring. I wanted to try Fring also on 3G or Edge or HDSPA or whatever comes out from my handy and goes into the air ^^ I don't know anymore.So I turned off my wlan and was down. No internet anymore and even there was no icon in the toolbar.
I turned my phone on and off, unistalled every app i installed since the last time it worked, which was just an hour before that.
The things i installed were: A brightness widget (appears under volume controll if you press the volume buttons. I forgot the name.) and "Quicksettings", which leeded to uninstalling the first mentioned unit.After that didn't help either, i changed the card in my phone with another from the same provider. It didn't work. In the same move i put my card to another smartphone and got a connection.Conclusion: Either my phone is misconfigured (which i hope for) or it's broken (which would suck but i have warrenty left).
I even tried to let my provider send me the right connection data and saved them. Nothing...I know there is the way of getting back to factory settings, but i only want to try that if i'm running out of possibilities. And of course i don't want to lose my app data. my phone is not rooted now and i know i have to, to save my app data and apps (which sucks. 1-0 for the iPhone). I you have only ideas that could be done by rooting my phone i would do so, but i would rather avoid that because of the 'maybe warranty loose'.
On my z2 mobile data doesn't work at all. I've update to lollipop yesterday and since then nothing. Tried factory reset, repair wit pcc, get internet setting from settings-more-internet connection, simply nothing.

It has worked fine.Day before yesterday, the Zune software(music player of the phone) stopped updating. I was instructed to reset my phone. On my iTunes screen I was told I needed to insert a SIM card in order to continue with the installation of the iOS4. I used my friend's SIM card and my iphone was able to detect it however my itunes would only allow me to the option to restore my iphone which I did and now all my camera roll, notes, contacts and sms are gone and the backups in my iTunes are all post-iPhone-crash.

However "Mobile Data" does.is it the the same thing?For cost reasons I would like to be in control of when I use the internet and already I have inadvertantly incurred charges without being aware that I had gone on to the internet.Will selecting "Mobile Data" to "OFF" solve my problem.

Please can anyone offer help in transferring my current 3gs content across to my 4s and then 'emptying' my 3gs to pass across to my friend to use.
