I have a 3gs and I am upgrading to a 4s in a few weeks. Please can anyone offer help in transferring my current 3gs content across to my 4s and then 'emptying' my 3gs to pass across to my friend to use. I have icloud but to be honest I'm struggling to follow how the transfer would 'work' and I'm scared I'll lose something.

After upgrading to IOS 7, I can only transfer songs to my iPhone 5 that I bought on iTunes. I cannot transfer songs I burned from CD. When I drag them to my phone in iTunes, my phone appears to be updating, but the songs don't show up there.
I'm using IOS 7.1.2 and iTunes 11.3.0.54. WIndows 7.Â

a) revert to 3.1.2, or
b) get data working on iOS 4?
So I popped into a local Radio Shack today and got my name put on a waiting list. the guy says to me that he wants to make sure I know that I will have to change to one of the new data plans when I upgrade. I told him that I was under the impression that existing iphone users who upgrade can keep their unlimited data plan that they already have. He told me when he's been activating them for people, the system has forced him to change their data plans to one of the new ones.Anyone else seen this? I sure as heck don't want to give up my unlimited data plan if I upgrade to the iphone 4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded to iOS4.0, my iphone 3GS has been losing its internet connection over 3G.The 3G indicator remains lit on the display, however when trying to surf or use an app that requires internet, it simply times out. In order to get my internet back I need to reboot the phone, or switch airplane mode on, then off.It seems to occur after I leave the house, so it may be that the phone is having trouble automatically switching from Wifi to 3G.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

I bought a new Ip4s and naively wanted to tranfer the data from my previous iP4. Stupid me, I have updated on my previous iP4 the latest software 5.1.1, while the nwly bought iP4s didn't have it.When i connected the iP4s to iTunes for the first time, the bloody thing didn;t allow me to restore from the previous phone, because I needed first to download the latest iPhone software and, to do this, I needed to create a new environment.
