Apr 14, 2012For some reason, my Spotlight Search function stopped working sometime yesterday afternoon. So did the Search function on my iMessage. But the Search function on others e.g., Calendar seem fine.

I am connected to Wifi internet. I called my iphone from my land line and it took a voice mail but the phone does not show that i have a v/m message.

Sep 28, 2011I love the camera on my phone, and constantly use the focus function with the trackpad. It suddenly stopped working - and I cant figure out why. Went through all the options, did a reboot, removed the battery etc - same result. The trackpad works on the bottom menu items, but it used to be that I could use it to focus in and out (up and down).

Jul 19, 2012Today the Home, Back and Search buttons stopped working in my Lumia 900. They don't work at all now. Zune says the software is up to date. I even tried a Hard Reset on it, but it didn't help.I tried once to boot without SIM card, and it seemed to help -- but only for a while after which the issue reappeared. Now I've been rebooting the phone a million times with and without SIM card and not seen the buttons working at all. Is it a HW failure?

Jun 2, 2010I've just changed my N79 for an N86. my N79 had a useful search function in the main menu, which enabled me to search through the phone for particular files etc.As far as i was aware, the N86 also had this, as i noticed it on a couple of internet reviews.However, it's not on the phone.i thought it might be in applications> office or in tools, but it's not there. Does anyone know why and if you can download it?

Jun 3, 2010This is something that's really getting on my nerves now. Everytime I use the Google search feature on my phone I get directed to the Dutch version instead of the English version. This has happened on a number of A200 platform phones i've owned. It seems to be a browser problem but I can't find any setting to change the default language. Anyone know of a way to sort this apart from bookmarking the English version of google.

May 10, 2012today i tried listening to music on my iphone 4s,only to find that my volume adjuster had disappeared.and just to clarify,when i say that it disappeared,i mean that when i press the volume buttons on my phone,i see the speaker icon but the gauge bar is gone. i tried to test if this issue was only happening in one place, by checking out if i could adjust my volume through my Internet app. unforuntately, the volume slider has disappeared from the app as well.

Apr 10, 2012I recently upgraded my iphone 3GS to the IOS 5.1 however i have noticed that now i am unable to use the camera whilst my phone is locked.
I can use the button but the screen kind of jumps up, like when you double click the home button, to reveal the bottom part of the camera, the shutter and camera/video camera slide, but then the locked page comes back down to hide the camera. Also the function button isnt properly formed, i have the camera but instead of being in a box just the top and bottom lines are shown.

Aug 21, 2014Spotlight search is no longer searching anything! I type swipe down and type and nothing happens. Hitting the search button on the keyboard hyst gives the Web and Wikipedia buttons. A reset will hopefully fix it but I was wondering if there was a quicker alternative.

May 22, 2012I bought two iphones 4s for my children. One chose a 16 GB model and the other a 32 GB one. This is the only difference between the two units. One child reports no problems with receiving calls that display caller-id while the other one (with the 32 GB unit) has been given the run around by Sprint people. The Sprint techs blame it as an Apple problem or even a defective unit. The unit was exchanged for another one, fresh off the box and the problem still persists. Can anybody clarify what is going on with this situation? Is this a carrier problem, manufacturer problem, iOS problem, or what?

In the morning the alarm rings, and I like the snooze function, I snooze several times (5 minutes).However, every now and then, the phone will not ring after a few snoozes, but will remain silent (and I get late).Usually does it after 25 minutes (5 snoozes),I cannot switch the phone on - I have to take out the battery, and put it back.Then it will immediately ring - usually shows the last snooze time, but of course I will have to set the time.It has been to the service, but this problem has remaind, but it is very annoying, usually it is very important not to be late!

Used IPhone 5 Stopped Working
Dec 4, 2014I recently purchased a used iPhone 5 for cheap. I replaced the battery and it worked right away. It took several hours for the phone to charge completely and after I unplugged it, it drained very fast. The phone was still tied to the previous owner's account, so I wondered if it was draining fast because it was searching for something via my wi-fi. I charged it again before I went to bed, but unplugged it so I could charge my iPad overnight. When I woke up the next morning, it was under 20%. I went to work and got a hold of the previous owner to get her to remove the phone from her iCloud account. I called my girlfriend and asked her to plug in the phone so that it was on when she removed it. When I got home from work, the phone wasn't working. The screen didn't light up and there was no sign that it worked at all. I left it plugged in for the next 24 hours and it still didn't work. Holding the home and sleep/wake buttons do nothing. My used iPhone is a metal and glass brick. Found out from the previous owner that these were the exact symptoms she had before it stopped working and the battery needed to be replaced.

Nokia :: PC Suite Sync Function Not Working At All
May 23, 2010I am using PC Suite 7.1.40.6, under Windows XP Pro SP3. I have a 6600 fold phone, with the latest firmware (5.60). I connect via USB cable. PC Suite works perfectly apart for one thing. I cannot get the Sync function to work at all. If I run it, the program starts, and shows the phone as being properly detected and connected. However, if I press the Sync button or the Settings button, absolutely nothing happens! No error messages, just nothing. The only thing I have which I can sync with is Outlook Express, but surely even if I had no compatible programs installed I should still get something when I press the Settings button at least? I've tried repairing/reinstalling PC Suite and no difference. As i said, all other functions work fine.
